The 15 WORST Cars Over $100K

The most amazing cars don't have to come at a steep price, and the same goes for spending a fortune; it doesn't necessarily mean that you are getting the best vehicle. If you are not knowledgeable and not careful enough, you might spend a lot of cash on a dumb car. In the end, all you can do is regret your decision. To help give you an idea about cars that are just not worth it, we came up with a list of the 15 worst cars that cost over $100,000. Take a look at each and every car on this list so you know what to avoid.

When it comes to being the worst cars (that are pricey), we considered the looks, performance, value, and more. Most of these cars look good on paper and with their extremely high price tags, they can easily fool an inexperienced car buyer. To avoid falling into the trap of buying a bad car, arm yourself with information to stay on top of this before you sign that deed of sale.

Rev your engines and let's start (running away from these cars).

15 Dennis Rodman’s Hummer

Via: youtube.com

Why would anyone do this to a beautiful car that can take on almost any type of terrain?

Barebones, a new Hummer used to cost around $134,000. Straight off the lot it is already an awesome car. However, when Dennis Rodman transformed a Hummer into a travesty, spending more money on it, it didn't end well.

He had the Hummer undergo a custom paint job, adding naked ladies on the outside. It was crazy! Even if it costs a fortune, looks like not a lot of people would want to be seen driving it.

14 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe

Via: motortrend.com

Generally, German car manufacturers are known for creating some of the best cars on the market. However, this isn't the case for Mercedes-Benz, specifically for its GLE-Class Coupe. This expensive piece of machinery has a design that is definitely a miss, much like its smaller sibling, the GLA. It tries to combine the looks of both coupe and compact SUV, which just don't work. Although it offers the power and performance of an SUV, it feels like the car's space is so limited that it will have a hard time trying to fit a big piece of luggage. The end product is an ugly car with an even uglier price. A fully-equipped GLE-Class Coupe has a whopping price tag of $114,385.

13 Austin Mahone's BWM i8

Via: blog.vossenwheels.com

Usually, when people ask to have their cars customized, the result is something that will make any enthusiast drool, especially if you spent over $100,000 for it. However, that isn't the case for Austin Mahone's wrapped and "rusted" BMW i8. To get this look, Austin spent about $140,000. Yet, the car looks like it passed through an apocalypse. The only good thing about it is that seeing it get driven around means that it survived the apocalypse, and so did we. Yet, we wish it had actually been destroyed during the hypothetical end of the world that it came from because it is a total eyesore.

12 1980 Porsche 928

Via: dailyturismo.com

If sold brand new at present, the 1980 Porsche 928 would cost up to $109,000. It may be such a steep price but apparently, this car tried to fix the issues presented by the Porsche 911. At that time, it seemed that Porsche was not trying to innovate, to the degree that it was producing the same cars over and over again. Hence, when the Porsche 928 came out, all eyes were on it. The car was so fast that many considered it a bullet on the road. However, it was also exotic and it didn't easily fit the taste of many consumers. Therefore, it failed to completely dethrone the 911 and serve its purpose.

Today, it is difficult to find and maintain the same car. Parts and service for this can skyrocket, and your wallet can take a heavy hit.

11 2003 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG

Via: mrautoblog.com

Don't let this shiny car fool you. When brand-new, the Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG came with a price tag of over $150,000. However, the resale value of this car plummeted very fast because of its bad name for being unreliable. It may be a fast car with a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine underneath the hood, but it also drops in price fast once you take it out of the dealership. One of the common reasons why it has a low resale value is due to its simple to fix features. Due to this, buying this car may come with a lot of costs to fix problems in the future, which is why it is difficult to sell it at the luxury price it was originally purchased at.

10 Justin Bieber's Audi R8

Via: mrexotics.com

Just when we thought the Audi R8 couldn't get any uglier, Justin Bieber comes in and surprises all of us while spending a fortune for this car. We don't know what kind of spell the Biebs has put on this car, but it definitely is something the Beast (from Beauty and the Beast) is very familiar with. Looks like this R8 needs the kiss from someone who loves it truly - and good luck finding that person. Justin "uglified" this car by wrapping it in leopard print, a kind of skin that you usually see on the tight leggings of the tacky ladies at the gym.

Yeah, it's too late to say sorry for this.

9 1992 BMW 850i

Via: youtube.com

Considered a classic, the 1992 BMW 850i would be sold at around $150,000 if it were available brand-new today. What makes it special is that it is BMW's first-ever V12-engine car. Geared to be fast, it was an experimental vehicle, which ended up being a flop. During its launch in the early 90s, car buyers were not into big-engined coupes. Hence, it didn't get the kind of following that BMW expected.

Due to the low demand for the car, it was unpopular, and even today, it is quite difficult to re-sell a car like this.

8 1997 Aston Martin DB7

Via: hiclasscar.com

Another classic car that is pricey but is just one of the worst, the 1997 Aston Martin DB7 would have had a price tag of close to $200,000 if sold new today. Although Aston Martin is popular for creating some of the most timeless classic cars, sometimes it makes mistakes, like the DB7. You will just scratch your head when you see this one weird piece of machinery.

This car is a proof that even geniuses like those at Aston Martin are not perfect. This convertible is bizarre even if they call it artistic. If you're not sold on this idea, ask any car enthusiast and they will most definitely say to "pass" on this car.

7 Nicki Minaj's Lamborghini Gallardo

Via: pinterest.com

The base price for a Lamborghini Gallardo is close to half a million dollars. That is a lot of money to spend on an amazing car. However, we're not sure why Nicki Minaj had to alter it this way. Anyway, it's her car and she can do what she wants with it, but still...

Nicki got her Gallardo customized and bathed it in hot pink paint. Top to bottom, the sports car was screaming in pink. Even the rims are actually sprinkled with the pink dust.

Oh well, a tacky car for a tacky owner.

6 1999 Jaguar XK8

Via: youtube.com

The 1999 Jaguar XK8 looks like an amazing car at a glance. Apparently, this automobile marked Jaguar's comeback to the luxury car scene. Prior to this, the cars they built were often the sporty type. The XK8 looks more lavish that Jaguar's previous cars, but it has a certain vibe that didn't fit. It was released towards the end of the millennium, however its design appeared to be stuck in time. Today, if this car was available brand-new, it would have a price of approximately $100,000. That sounds steep and something you wouldn't want to spend on a luxury car that has certain quirks that make it less likeable.

5 2017 Tesla Model X

Via: businessinsider.com

Although it's being hailed as the epitome of innovation, the 2017 Tesla Model X is just an ugly car that comes at a steep price. This vehicle can reach a selling price of up to $146,200. However, when it comes to looks, it seems like a regular SUV that has many parts missing. For instance, it doesn't have a radiator grille. Although it doesn't need one, it looks weird that it really doesn't have one. Without the grille, its front looks like a blank space that makes no sense at all.

It may sport falcon wing doors, but that doesn't make up for its horrible appearance.

4 2017 Bentley Bentayga

Via: wikipedia.com

The most expensive SUV on the market today is the dumbest as well. Initially, when you take a look at it, you won't quickly recognize it as an SUV. It looks like a compressed funeral car or a vintage vehicle with all the sharp corners all over. To be fair, it is extremely reliable in terms of performance and it offers ample space inside for passengers and luggage. Still, that doesn't compensate for how ugly it looks, especially knowing you have to spend almost half a million dollars for it.

The 2017 Bentley Bentayga is solid proof of what's wrong when it comes to the future of design among cars. Manufacturers should start getting their acts together!

3 2016 Pagani Huayra

Via youtube.com

It may be a rare breed of metal on the road, but the Pagani Huayra is just a dumb-looking supercar. Its design is so weird and it is even weirder that people are actually buying it even if it comes at a huge cost of $1,070,500. The Pagani Huayra is just too low to be liked and it feels that its curves are in the wrong places. It looks so tacky that it makes us wonder what kind of taste its buyers have.

To be fair, it really is a fast car, if that is what you are looking for. However, if you want something that is pleasing to the eyes as well then look elsewhere.

2 2015 Pininfarina Sergio

Via: wikipedia.com

The 2015 Pininfarina Sergio is a sports car that came at a price tag of about $3 million. This expensive car is a proof that spending a lot of money doesn't necessarily get you something awesome. This car is fast, but it has to be because it is just so ugly that you wouldn't want to be seen behind its steering wheel. Sadly, the car has an open top configuration, making it virtually impossible to hide when driving it.

A rare car, only six examples of the Sergio were made. Thankfully though, there are only very few of them to avoid.

1 Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero

Via: luxuryandlifestyles.com

An $8 million car that seems like it's just not worth it, the Maybach Exelero is another ugly creation of German automaker Mercedes-Benz. It seems Mercedes-Benz has been missing a lot of their shots. The goal for the Maybach Exelero is to make it look classy. It feels classy but it also feels like there is something weird about it (and not just the huge price of the car).

The car can confuse anyone who sees it. It looks like a crossbreed between a luxury coupe and a limousine. Its appearance is giving us a headache. Strangely, although it is an ugly car and it feels like it is stupid to buy one, a few celebrities actually own one, including Jay-Z.
