Studios in Hollywood make the conscious decision to relaunch film and television franchises that they think will resonate with a new generation, and in 1994, The Little Rascals was given a big-screen treatment in hopes of cashing in big time with the new generation of kids. The original series, Our Gang, initially began its run back in the 1920s, and over 70 years later, audiences were once again enamored with the spunky children of the series. While The Little Rascals may have garnered plenty of negative reviews upon its release, the film managed to pull down a respectable $67 million during its time at the box office, making it a bonafide hit during the 1990s. Led by a cast of very talented child actors as well as cameos by big-name celebrities, The Little Rascals proved to be a film that had the right blend of comedy and mature themes dealing with friendship and growing up.

Now that it's been 23 years since the film was first released in the summer of 1994, we figured that we'd go ahead and give all of you an update about the actors of the film. They may have been a gang of children back in 1994, but each performer in the film has grown up, and we have the pictures to prove it. Not only will we cover many of the film's children, but we'll even fill you in on several of the notable celebrity appearances that occurred in the film.

Ross Bagley - Buckwheat

While we're sure that the both of you recognize Ross Bagley from his time on The Little Rascals, many more of you are sure to recognize him as the character Nicky from the hit series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Nicky was a character that appeared on the series from 1994 to 1996, helping close out one of the most successful shows of the 1990s. Ross Bagley got off to a red-hot start in his career, and this continued in 1995 when he landed a voice acting role in the film Babe. This was followed up by appearing in the smash hit film Independence Day in 1996. It was a film that included fellow Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum Will Smith.

After appearing in a film in 2004, Ross Bagley didn't act in another film until 2015 when he played the character Landon in the film Gnome Alone. Things may have cooled off considerably for Bagley throughout his career, but his massive 1994 campaign will ensure that he's remembered for generations to come.

Blake Jeremy Collins - Woim

For actor Blake Jeremy Collins, his career in the entertainment industry couldn't have gotten off to a better start, and his first official film role was as the character Woim in The Little Rascals. Woim, if you remember, was Butch's right-hand man as they set about terrorizing the local kids on a day-to-day basis. The freckle-faced redhead kid sporting a very 1990s mullet was hilarious in the film, and he provided a great counterbalance for Butch. Unfortunately for Blake Jeremy Collins, his first film in Hollywood ended up being his most successful film, and the rest of his short acting career mostly went unnoticed.

His last film appearance came all the way back in 1998 as the appropriately named character Freckles in Richie Rich's Christmas Wish. It's been reported that the actor mainly works behind the camera now, and he's helped on the hit series Sons of Anarchy.

Brittany Ashton Holmes - Darla

Playing the cute-as-a-button character Darla in the film The Little Rascals, actress Brittany Ashton Holmes was just five years old when she made her debut on the big screen. Her character was the love interest of Alfalfa, and their love story was the focal point that divided Alfalfa and his friends. Her love triangle with Alfalfa and Waldo was another one of the major plot points of the film, and at just five years old, Brittany Ashton Holmes was an integral part of the success of the film. Her foray into acting only spanned two years, originally, and her decision to leave acting in 1996 was one that was made when she was still very young.

She made her return to acting in 2014, nearly eighteen years after her final onscreen appearance, and she did it in the television film Humanoids from the Deep. Her 2014 role in We Hate Paul Revere remains her final acting credit, and it's easy to think that this could be the last time that she appears in a film.

Jordan Warkol

When I first watched the film The Little Rascals back in 1994, I always wondered how child actor Jordan Warkol got his voice so gravelly and deep as that of the character Froggy. As you may remember, the character that was so fond of carrying lizards in his pocket had an incredibly distinct voice, and as it turns out, that wasn't the child's real voice at all. Nevertheless, actor Jordan Warkol found a ton of success in the field of voice acting throughout his career in the entertainment industry. Some of his biggest roles as a voice actor came in A Bug's Life and Rocket Power. Elsewhere in his career, Jordan Warkol also landed roles in Baywatch, Walker, Texas Ranger, and The X-Files.

His career in the entertainment industry wrapped up in 2003 after appearing as the character Willie in Touched by an Angel. These days, Jordan Warkol is pursuing a career in comedy, and he's mainly active on his Twitter account and sometimes on YouTube.

Blake McIver Ewing - Waldo

Did anyone else hate the character Waldo as much as we did when we were young? Waldo was a smug, entitled rich kid who was able to swoon Darla away from Alfalfa, causing massive amounts of tension in the film. We have to give credit where credit is due because actor Blake Ewing played the role to perfection, blurring the lines between fiction and reality for most kids watching the film. The Little Rascals came on the heels of Ewing's 9-episode appearance on the hit series Full House, which began back in 1992. He found a ton of success throughout his young career, most notably by appearing on the series Home Improvement and Recess and in the film Anastasia.

Now that Blake Ewing is all grown up, many fans of The Little Rascals have wondered what he's been up to after all of these years. His most recent television appearance came in 2014 on the show The People's Couch, but his film career ended back in 2004. Ewing is currently working as a go-go dancer, and the nostalgia surrounding him has helped reignite his popularity among female fans.

Travis Tedford - Spanky

One major problem that actors who land seemingly iconic roles face is being typecast as a similar character in future projects. It makes landing roles virtually impossible unless they're able to fit within the confines of their past characters, and this can seriously stunt actors' growth, especially if these performers are still children looking to make names for themselves in the entertainment industry. Travis Tedford was tasked with playing the character Spanky in The Little Rascals, and he did an exceptional job, being an incredibly young performer. Spanky was one of the leaders in the gang, and he was Alfalfa's bestfriend in the film. Tedford did such a good job that directors of other films wanted to use him as a Spanky type of character, causing the young actor to become jaded with the entire experience.

After facing his fair share of struggles in trying to land roles outside of a Spanky typecast, Tedford eventually moved back home to Texas where he pursued a career in Liberal Arts. His final appearance came in 2010 when he appeared in a project called The Final as a character named Andy.

Bug Hall - Alfalfa

The Little Rascals may have been a film that was chock-full of memorable characters, but everyone knows that that movie wouldn't have been nearly as memorable had it not been for the character Alfalfa. His hijinks throughout the film are always the center of attention, and he was played perfectly by actor Bug Hall. His role as Alfalfa was Hall's first film role, and he went on to act in plenty of memorable projects throughout his career. He appeared in The Big Green in 1995, lent his voice to Hercules in 1997, and landed roles in huge television shows like CSI and Charmed.

Out of all the children who appeared in the film, Bug Hall has easily been the most successful actor of the bunch. He continues acting to this day, and his most recent television appearance came in 2016 on the series Harley and the Davidsons as the character Arthur. Though he may not be an actor who lands lead roles on popular shows and movies, Bug Hall continues to find steady work because of his talent and experience in the entertainment industry.

Kevin Jamal Woods - Stymie

Prior to landing his role as Stymie in the film The Little Rascals, actor Kevin Jamal Woods had only previously been in one project. He played the character Cleveland in A Perfect World one year before landing the role of Stymie. Much like his co-star Ross Bagley, Kevin Jamal Woods also lent his voice to the hit film Babe. Outside of these two projects, his most notable work came when he appeared in 14 episodes of the series Blossom. Kevin also appeared in one episode of the series Walker, Texas Ranger, but his career in the entertainment industry ended in 2000.

After his exit from the entertainment industry as a child actor, Kevin Jamal Woods eventually tried his hand at being a comedian, and he's even started a YouTube channel where he posts comedic videos. His final film appearance came back in 2000 when he played the character Danny on the film The Brainiacs.com.

Zachary Mabry - Porky

Unlike most of the actors that you'll find on our list, Zachary Mabry had perhaps the shortest career in Hollywood when compared to his co-stars. On The Little Rascals, Mabry played the character Porky, who served as Buckwheat’s best friend and fishing partner. The duo was responsible for some of the film's most memorable moments and best catchphrases. With this in mind, you would think that maybe he would've been able to sustain a career in Hollywood as a child. Unfortunately, his role as Porky in The Little Rascals became his only credited film appearance, and his acting career began and ended in 1994.

According to research done by Life & Style, Mabry gave up on Hollywood after the release of The Little Rascals, and he found himself pursuing a career in accounting. Despite the fact that he only has one film to his credit, Zachary Mabry made the most of his time on the big screen, and his lone film appearance is one that won't be forgotten anytime soon.

Sam Saletta - Butch

The Little Rascals may have come early in his career, but actor and musician Sam Saletta didn't let that stop him from pursuing plenty of other projects as he grew up. Many people you'll see on this list had their acting careers cut short, something that's a regular occurrence with children looking to get into the entertainment industry. Saletta, however, was able to use The Little Rascals as a jumping-off point, and he's had plenty of work since his time in the film. He appeared in one ABC Afterschool Special before being cast as the character Butch in The Little Rascals, which is pretty funny, considering that he was playing a bully in the film. Butch and his freckle-faced partner, Woim, are responsible for punishing the gang for even making eye contact with them, and they tried everything they could to get their hands on the Blur to win the race.

Outside of The Little Rascals, Saletta also appeared on the series Touched by an Angel, King of the Hill, and 7th Heaven. He also lent his voice to the series Rocket Power and Rugrats, which no doubt breathed new life into his career. More recently, Saletta lent his voice to the game Call of Duty: Black Ops back in 2010.

Courtland Mead - Uh-Huh

Talk about having a very successful career as a child actor. Courtland Mead played the character Uh-Huh in the film The Little Rascals, but his career in the entertainment industry had started several years beforehand. Prior to being cast in The Little Rascals, Mead had appeared in a number of projects, even lending his voice to the character Flounder in The Little Mermaid video game back in 1992. His first big break came in 1993 as the character Philip on the series The Young and the Restless, and he was cast in The Little Rascals, Dragonworld, and Corrina, Corrina the following year. His biggest career triumphs came by way of voice acting, and his most notable project was lending his voice to the Disney film A Bug's Life and the series Recess.

Outside of playing the character Lloyd Nebulon in the series Lloyd in Space, the tail end of Mead's career cooled off considerably. His last film appearance came in 2010 in the film Mean Parents Suck. Ever since his final appearance, Mead has remained relatively quiet about his more recent endeavors.

The Olsen Twins - The Twins

Unless you've been living under a rock at any point over the last 27 years, you've definitely heard of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The twin sisters are considered to be among the greatest child stars of all time, and the duo practically ran the 1990s with an iron fist. They appeared in countless movies and TV shows, and their popularity went way beyond what you saw on screen. These young ladies were entrepreneurs, and their book series and fashion lines were massive successes in their own right. You couldn't go anywhere in the 1990s without seeing the Olsen Twins, and they were nothing short of an unstoppable force during the decade.

They largely remain out of the spotlight these days, and can you blame them? The two girls practically grew up in front of the eyes of the world, and we have to imagine that it gets highly irritating after a decade or two. They continue to work in the fashion industry, and their experience in business endeavors has paid off greatly.

Reba McEntire - A.J. Ferguson

The children who were in The Little Rascals were obviously at the forefront of attention, but the adults who made cameos in the film made it memorable as well. The boys are so caught up with winning their race so that they could meet their idol A.J. Ferguson that they didn't even bother to learn who the person under the helmet actually was. The He-Man Woman-Haters Club had no time for nonsense with girls, and they were all about the betterment of men. After winning the race, they finally get to meet their idol, A.J. Ferguson, but little did they know that A.J. was actually a woman. This helped change their way of thinking, and they eventually allowed girls to hang out with them. A.J. Ferguson was played by Reba McEntire in the film, and she did a good job despite having a very brief appearance.

There's not a whole lot that needs to be said about Reba McEntire's career as it stands now. She remains one of the most popular performers in country music, and she had a hit show on television that was immensely popular with her demographic.

Lea Thompson - Ms. Roberts

Long before appearing in the film The Little Rascals as the character Ms. Roberts, actress Lea Thompson had already seen a fair share of hit films in her day. She initially rose to fame in the 1980s by appearing in a number of successful films, including Red Dawn. Though she may have played the character Beverly in the infamous box-office bomb Howard the Duck, Thompson responded by finding success despite the massive blunder. The talented actress made an appearance in The Little Rascals in 1994, and the following year, she was cast in the lead role in the hit series Caroline in the City.

Since then, Lea Thompson has remained incredibly busy throughout her career, and she's now acted in projects spanning three separate decades. In 2011, she landed the role of Catherine in the hit series Switched at Birth, appearing in 73 episodes of the series. Some of her other notable roles in her career have come in Back to the Future and J. Edgar.

Donald Trump - Waldo's Dad

It's hard to believe that a guy who appeared in The Little Rascals was elected President of the United States, but alas, here we are in 2017 with Donald Trump as our president. Donald Trump was best known for being a businessman early on in his career, but his fortune ultimately brought fame along with it, and Trump found himself doing cameos in several films. His most notable appearances came in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Little Rascals, and Zoolander. Trump never became a major player in Hollywood until he starred in the hit television series The Apprentice. After starring on the show, he had a number of moronic catchphrases that caught on with the public, propelling his celebrity status even further.

Currently, Donald Trump is serving as the President of the United States, and he's become an even more polarizing figure in the eyes of people around the world.
