Are you a sci-fi nerd? Do you want to see some hot badass women?
Science fiction usually involves worlds with advanced science and technology. The genre has been used in literature for centuries, so naturally the genre made its way into television and movies.
The very first film that was considered science fiction was The Trip to the Moon by Georges Méliès in 1902. It showed a spacecraft being launched out of a cannon to the Moon. Films and television in this genre often take place on space ships or in advanced societies. They sometimes have aliens or some kind of unique creature. Many have robots.
Today I'm presenting the sexiest female characters in science fiction TV shows and movies in no particular order. I'm not only evaluating their looks, but the characters' personalities and the actress' ability shown in the role. I'm not just putting up ladies from modern science fiction either. I'm throwing in some ladies from classic shows and movies as well, such as the Princess Leia picture I've started with. Be careful though! Some of these ladies might kick your ass!
20 Alice - The Resident Evil Series

The incident is the release of a virus that kills then reanimates humans. Alice and the soldiers are tasked to go investigate what happened, which leads to them being attacked by zombies.
19 Princess Leia - Star Wars
You knew this was going to be on here. Every Star Wars fanboy back in the day had a thing for Princess Leia, played by the great Carrie Fisher. Some of you fanboys might still like her in this outfit.

Jackson, to recruit Tony Stark (Iron Man) to the Avengers team.

In the beginning of the first movie, she kills her boyfriend during a make-out session which leads her to seek out Professor Xavier at the X-men school for other mutants.
16 Clara Oswald - Doctor Who
Here we have Clara Oswald from the new Doctor Who series. She serves as a companion for the eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, and the twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi. She is a school teacher who runs around with the Doctor on his various adventures. She doesn't wear revealing clothes as much, but she is very smart. She's good at thinking on her feet to help the Doctor out of bad situations.
15 Inara Serra - Firefly
Here we have another beauty from the Firefly series. Inara, played by Morena Baccarin, is a companion (aka prostitute), but this show takes place 500 years in the future where prostitution is legal. It is even considered a status symbol to have a companion on ship. There is one episode where she is shown with a female client, which particularly excites Jayne Cobb, the weapons obsessed crewman.
14 Amy Pond - Doctor Who
Next, we have Amy Pond from Doctor Who, played by the lovely red head Karen Gillan. She joins the eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, when he lands in her backyard when she was a child. When she's grown up she goes on more adventures with the Doctor and her boyfriend (Spoiler Alert), later husband Rory. 13 Zoe Washburne - Firefly
Firefly was an amazing science fiction show created by the famous Joss Whedon, who is also responsible for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and the Avengers. Zoe Washburne, played by Gina Torres, is the right hand of the captain, Malcolm Reynolds. She is married to the ship captain, Hoban Washburne. Overall, a bad-ass warrior, great with a firearm, and great at rocking a leather vest.
12 Captain Kerra "Starbuck" Thrace - Battlestar Galactica
Here we have the very badass Starbuck from the new Battlestar Galactica series portrayed by Katee Sackhoff. She is a revised version of the male character of the same name from the original 1978 series of the same name. She is part of the large group on her ship fighting the evil Cylon robots.
11 Ripley - Alien franchise
Taking it back a bit, we have Sigourney Weaver's famous Ellen Ripley character from the Alien movies. Surely, the crush of many fanboys back in the day. Ripley steps into action and helps her crew hunt the monster through the ship.
10 Nyota Uhura - Star Trek
Here we have the lovely Uhura, played by Nichelle Nichols. She was on the original series in the late 60s. Not only did she spark many fanboy crushes, but she broke barriers as one of the first African American actresses in a non-stereotypical role. She also shared an on-screen kiss with William Shatner that was the first ever kiss between a white male and an African American female on television.
9 Selene - Underworld series
Here we have Kate Beckinsale rocking a leather outfit in the Underworld films. She portrays a vampire named Selene who is in a war with the Lycan race (werewolves). She turns Scott Speedman's character into a vampire-Lycan hybrid by biting him. Thus, leading to the sequels where the races are fighting to stop the hybrid.
8 Trinity - The Matrix Trilogy
Another lady rocking the leather! Here we have Trinity from the Matrix trilogy played by Carrie-Anne Moss. She helps recruit Keanu Reeves' Neo to join her, Morpheus and others on a spaceship living in the real world outside of the Matrix where Neo was living. The trilogy also includes a war between humans and machines. She rocks the leather the entire trilogy. Thanks Moss!
Back to another classic, here is Jane Fonda as Barbarella in the 1968 movie of the same name. I know not many people know who Fonda is, or the Barbarella for that matter. But she just had to be on this list. She plays a 41st century astronaut trying to find a villain named Durand Durand. They have a machine to kill people by orgasm. Wait...what?
6 Dana Scully - The X-Files
Here we have Dana Scully, famously portrayed by Gillian Anderson. Scully was first on the X-Files in the 90s, then she was in a couple of X-Files movies in the 2000s. You didn't think we'd forget about our beloved Dana Scully, did you?
Now, the X-Files has been revived by the Fox Network. Scully is the skeptic to Mulder's believe, and covers cases with extraterrestrial and paranormal origins.
5 Michonne - The Walking Dead
This sword-wielding zombie fighter is badass. Michonne has become a main character on the Walking Dead. She was first seen dragging two slave zombies and slashing other zombies with her sword. She joins Rick and crew at the prison after she meets him in the woods. The way she fights off zombies is sexy as hell.
4 Sarah Connor - The Terminator
Another lady with leather and a very big gun. Sarah Connor is trying to fight a Terminator to keep from getting killed. They're after her because her future son will have a pretty good chance at beating SkyNet, an evil computer system that tries to take over the world. What a great story. An evil computer system trying to control the world. It's as interesting in 2016 as it was in the 90s.
3 Buffy Summers - Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Another Joss Whedon favorite, here is Sarah Michelle Gellar playing the famous character Buffy Summers from the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is a high school girl who finds out she is one in a long line of slayers. She hunts down vampires and kills them with the help of Giles, her watcher, and her friends. The women on this show are all sexy. Something about appealing to a young audience, I guess.
2 Loana - One Million Years BC
Here we have another classic movie, yet not many people have heard of this movie. This is Raquel Welch playing Loana in the 60s classic One Million Years BC. It is about a prehistoric man who leaves his tribe and tries to win the affections of Loana. Who wouldn't want to win her affection? Look at her wearing two pieces of what is basically cloth!
1 Lara Croft - The Tomb Raider Movies
A famous video game character turned into a series of movies. Angelina Jolie famously donned the short shorts and gun belt for two Tomb Raider movies in the early 2000s. They casting team couldn't have picked a hotter actress to don the role of Lara Croft. Olive skinned, brunette, light brown eyes - she's insanely hot. The movie had some pretty intense fight scenes as well. She was wearing a nightgown for one of them.
