Here in North America, we are extremely fortunate when it comes to entertainment, as we are literally given hundreds of different television shows and feature length movies to choose from each and every year. Those are just one form of entertainment though, and a short form at that, because at most, you will be entertained by a show for about an hour, while a movie can last close to three, but there is one source of entertainment that is both live and provides viewers with months worth of content, and that would be professional sports. North America is home to the four biggest sports leagues in the world, which showcase all of the world's best players in that specific sport, and from a purely monetary point of view, the National Basketball Association comes in third with an expected revenue this year of around $8 billion.
The NBA has been around since 1946, and over the course of its 70-year history, the league has provided the world with some of the best players to ever play the game, from Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain, to more current players like Russell Westbrook and LeBron James. It is true that basketball is a team sport, but that fact has not stopped many NBA players from being selfish individuals with massive egos, but when you brush all of that aside, they are people just like the rest of us, except they make a lot more money than we do, and usually find themselves in relationships with very attractive women. Each NBA player has a hot girlfriend, fiancee, or wife by their side, but there are some women who are more attractive than others, and the point of this article is to identify 2017's 15 hottest NBA WAGs.
15 Ayesha Curry
Although their record is not as good as it was last season, the Golden State Warriors are still one of the two best teams in the entire NBA, and it is looking very certain that they will be appearing in the championship final for a third straight year. Stephen Curry is without a doubt the Warriors' best player, as he has averaged over 22 points throughout his eight-year career with the team, and for most of his time in Golden State, he has been married to his lovely and attractive wife Ayesha. As it turns out, Ayesha was born and raised in Toronto, and she lived in the Canadian city until the age of 14, when her parents moved their family to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003, which happened to be the same year that she met her future husband. Ayesha may not be an NBA champion and two-time MVP, but she too has found success, making a living as a television personality and actress, cook, model, author, and businesswoman; they have also been married since 2011 and so far have two daughters together.
14 Kamiah Adams
The Washington Wizards were considered to be a bad team for years, but thanks to their commitment towards a proper rebuild, the franchise has turned things around to become one of the better up and coming teams in the Eastern Conference. A significant portion of the Wizards' rebuild is their current starting shooting guard, Bradley Beal, who they drafted in 2012, and who they signed to a lucrative new five-year contract this past offseason; and who can blame them for re-signing him seeing as he is capable of scoring at least 17 points every game. Beal is currently dating the lovely Kamiah Adams, who he also lives and owns two dogs with, and this beauty loves to post pictures of herself on social media to her nearly one million followers, pictures which feature her wearing attire that is either elegant or beach friendly.
13 Hazel Renee
With this entry, we find ourselves right back in Washington, except this time, the player being mentioned is in fact the true future of the franchise, because without him, the Wizards might just find themselves in the gutter again. The player in question is Washington's starting point guard, John Wall, who has been with the team since they drafted him first overall in 2010, and he has played so well that he is in for a big payday next year. Wall may now be a four-time All-Star, but he also happens to have the hottest WAG amongst his teammates in the form of his girlfriend Hazel Renee, a beauty who is of African American, Puerto Rican, and Filipino decent. Hazel attended Michigan State University, and is predominantly interested in music, modelling, and the entertainment industry as a whole, and based on the photos she posts on social media, she can definitely become a model.
12 Brittany Renner
Every sports league has at least one team that is utterly and completely terrible, and in the NBA's case, there are currently at least half a dozen of these types of teams, with the Philadelphia 76ers being one of them. The 76ers have been bad for years now, and appear to currently be in their third attempt at a rebuild, and unless they screw things up again, the team will finally be able to rise out of the ashes as a good team, a team led by shooting guard Ben Simmons. This season marks Simmons' first as a professional player, and based on his performance, this born and raised Australian will be a great player for years to come, but aside from probably being this season's Rookie of the Year, he is also dating his team's hottest WAG. Her name is Brittany Renner, and just by looking at her, you can see why she has over 2 million Instagram followers, and she is also no stranger to being in a relationship with a professional athlete, as she was formerly involved with NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick; but she is much happier now with Simmons who causes far less drama in her life.
11 Khloe Kardashian
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still the current NBA champions, and their win last season was even more significant when you take into account that the title ended a championship drought in Cleveland which lasted for 68 years. Everyone knows that Cleveland won because of LeBron James' performance in the finale, but it also helped that the Cavs were also a fairly deep team, made up of players like Toronto native, Tristan Thompson. Cleveland selected Thompson fourth overall in 2011, and aside from being a capable center, he has also been dating one of the world's most popular reality TV stars in Khloe Kardashian, since last July. Khloe became famous thanks to her family's involvement with the O.J. Simpson trial, and because of an explicit video featuring her sister, and she, like the rest of her family, capitalized on that acquired fame, by appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and several of its spin-offs, but she has also hosted other reality shows such as The X Factor, and her most recent show, Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian.
10 Gabrielle Union
LeBron James made headlines when he decided to return to Cleveland in 2014, but in 2010, he angered most Cleveland fans when he announced that he would be taking his talents to South Beach, where he would play on the Miami Heat with his friends Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Of the three, Wade was the veteran presence, and over the course of his now 14-year career, he has all but guaranteed his spot in the Hall of Fame with his point totals and three championships. During last year's offseason, Wade decided it was time to leave Miami, and signed with the Chicago Bulls, the team that he loved as a kid, and upon joining the Bulls, his wife Gabrielle Union was added to the team's list of WAGs. These two began their relationship in 2008, but ended up separating in 2013 as a result of their demanding schedules, but they were able to overcome this and got engaged later that year; and have now been married since 2014. As an actress, Union has appeared in several TV shows like City of Angels and Being Mary Jane, but she has also appeared in more than twenty movies, including She’s All That, Bring It On, and Bad Boys 2.
9 Viviana Ortiz
Like all the other North American professional sports leagues, the NBA is mostly made up of players who were drafted into the league by one of the franchises, but there are also some players who make it to the NBA without ever being drafted. Jose Juan Barea is one of these undrafted players, and he started his NBA career after being signed by the Dallas Mavericks in 2006, and after a three-year stint with Minnesota, he returned to Dallas in 2014, where he continues to play today. In 2013, Barea started dating Viviana Ortiz, who is a gorgeous Puerto Rican model and actress, and she was also a beauty queen as she represented Puerto Rico in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, where she finished amongst the top 16. The end of March will mark the couple's first wedding anniversary, and being married to Ortiz makes Barea very lucky, because when you include his 2011 championship win, it means that he is a man who has so far succeeded in all aspects of life.
8 Yvette Prieto
There is no denying the fact that LeBron James is the best player in the NBA today, and there are those who even make the assertion that he is the best basketball player of all time, but there is only one individual who deserves that title, and his name is Michael Jordan. In a career that spanned 15 years, Jordan averaged around 30 points a game, scored a total 32,292 points, was a 14-time All-star, a five-time league MVP, and a six-time NBA finals MVP who led the Chicago Bulls to six championships. Although he retired in 2003, Jordan is still very much involved in basketball, as he is currently the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets franchise, and as it turns out, he happens to be married to the hottest woman associated with the team. Yvette Prieto is a former model from Cuba, and although she is 16 years younger than her husband, the age gap has caused no real problems for their relationship, as they have been happily married since 2013, and are the proud parents of twin girls.
7 Kylie Bossie
While playing basketball at the University of Michigan, Tim Hardaway Jr became quite the effective shooting guard, so effective in fact that he went on to be taken in the first round of the 2013 draft by the New York Knicks. Ultimately, Hardaway spent only two seasons in New York, as he was traded to the Atalanta Hawks in 2015, where he continues to be a serviceable player, who this season is now scoring nearly 14 points per game. When he moved to Atlanta, he did not do so alone, as his girlfriend Kylie decided to accompany him as well, and when a girl chooses to leave a city like New York to be with you, then you know her feelings for you are real. Kylie is a pretty brunette who takes pride in her three French bulldogs, and she constantly receives flattering remarks from Hardaway who posts pictures of the two together, with comments like, “Where’d I put that card from All-Star weekend that says ’10’?”
6 Elaine Alden
Not all players who make it into the NBA are destined to have lengthy and notable careers, and a prime example of this is former shooting guard/small forward Landry Fields, who was drafted by the New York Knicks in 2010; but thanks to several serious injuries, he was forced to retire after barely playing in the NBA for five seasons. Fields may have retired, but he is still working in the NBA as a scout for the San Antonio Spurs, and when he is not out evaluating college players, he is at home with his breathtaking wife Elaine. These two met at a concert thanks to mutual friends, and they apparently really hit it off after he quoted a line to her from the movie Dumb and Dumber, a line that has resulted in them being married for nearly three years now. Elaine is of course a model, but she is also involved in fitness, as she has her own videos online showcasing different types of routines for people to use.
5 Meghan Allen
In basketball, the point guard is incredibly important, because it is primarily that player's responsibility to set up their team's offensive plays, and in Devin Harris' case, he has helped run the offense of four different NBA teams. Harris started his 13-year career with the Dallas Mavericks in 2004, and went on to play in New York, Utah, and Atlanta before returning to Dallas in 2013 where he continues to play today in a less significant role, as he now averages less than 15 minutes on the court. Devin has been married to Meghan Allen since 2013, and this ravishing blond is not camera shy, as she was Playboy's Cyber Playmate of the Month in January of 2008, but she has also appeared on The Howard Stern Show and Couples Fear Factor in the past. As the story goes, Harris met his future wife during his first stint with the Mavericks, in a Dallas nightclub while she was working at the bar, and unlike other guys that night, he was the only one she gave her number to.
4 Destiny Marie
The Indiana Pacers may not be as popular or successful as the teams in Boston, San Antonio, Los Angeles and New York, but they are still a fairly competitive team in the Eastern Conference, and will continue to be one as long as Paul George decides to re-sign. George has been with Indiana since 2010, when they drafted him tenth overall, and the small forward has proven to be their best player, as evidenced by the 2014-15 season where he sustained an offseason leg injury which caused him to miss virtually the entire year, a year which also saw the team fail to make the playoffs. He may have been sidelined for nearly eight months, but at least the injury allowed him to spend more time with his gorgeous girlfriend, Destiny Marie, who was given some credit for his leg healing ahead of schedule. Destiny is a devout christian, who prays a lot to help relieve stress, and she prayed for her man to get healthy as fast as possible, and whether you are a religious person or not, you know that Paul George thanks God everyday for bringing Destiny into his life.
3 Alex Reid
The Minnesota Timberwolves may have a cool name, but they happen to be a team that has not performed well at all over the past couple of years, and no one can really blame them seeing as they play in the Western Conference, which is home to at least six of the NBA's best teams. The team has definitely improved the past three years, but it will still be some time before they can actually compete in their conference, and the owner and front office staff really hope that Canadian Andrew Wiggins, will become their version of LeBron James. Wiggins scores just over 20 points every game, and although he was named 2015's Rookie of the year, the 22-year old small forward happens to also have his team's hottest WAG, and her name is Alex Reid. Unlike most of the other women on this list, Reid actually loves basketball, and is a huge fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, the college team that Wiggins played for before getting drafted. Their relationship is of the long distance variety though, as she currently lives in Los Angeles, where she is pursuing a music career.
2 Amber Alverez
Everyone knows that the Los Angeles Lakers are one of the two most historic and successful franchises in the NBA, but they are not the only team who call the city their home, as the Los Angeles Clippers even play in the exact same arena. For a long time, the Clippers were the bad team in L.A., but things have since changed, and the Clippers are now one of the more dominant teams in the league thanks to their team being filled with quite a few good players, players like DeAndre Jordan. This center has been with the team since being drafted by them in 2008, and throughout his career, he has averaged nearly 10 points per game, but he also has the hottest WAG on the team as he is in a relationship with supermodel Amber Alvarez. Now, Amber posts many pictures of herself on Twitter and Instagram, but she also likes to express herself as evidenced by her participation in the Women's March earlier this year, where she said, “What a powerful weekend for women. Persevere with passion!”
1 Amelia Vega
For a good three-year span, the Atalanta Hawks were considered to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, because their roster consisted of several highly skilled players, but they have taken a step back this season due to Al Horford signing with the Boston Celtics. Thanks to the addition of Horford, as well as other players, the Celtics have surprised many, and are now within striking distance of becoming the conference's top seed, but aside from offering his new team around 14 points per game, he provides the entire NBA with the league's hottest WAG. Horford has been married to Amelia Vega since 2011, and the two very recently welcomed their second child together, and if you think that this radiant native of the Dominican Republic used to be a beauty queen, then you would be right, as she actually won the Miss Universe pageant in 2003 when she was just 18 years old; and since winning that pageant, she has gone on to make a career for herself in music, acting and modeling.
