Top 15 Richest Friends Actors Today

One of the most popular sitcoms in the history of television, it certainly seems as though Friends will never be forgotten. It has been on television for ten seasons and during those years, there was a long list of memorable and beloved characters that were created and introduced to the world. We realize that you probably think first of the main six characters, as any reasonable person would, but it should be noted that they are far from the only ones. There were also characters like Gunther, Janice, Jack, Judy, and so many more that a list including all of them would be far too long. Considering how many actors have made their mark on the show (including famous guest stars), it made us wonder who among the actors on the series have made the best career for themselves before and after the show. That is what inspired us to put together this list of the fifteen richest Friends actors today.

In order for an actor to be considered for inclusion here, they need to have made at least one appearance on the series. Once that is ensured, we looked at the net worth of all notable actors involved in the show and then ranked them in order to put together this list. In the case of actors where there is no clear idea of the amount of money they are worth, we were forced to leave them off our list. It should be noted that we obviously do not know these actors personally so we can only rely upon public accounts as regards to the net worth these actors have. We did not consider estates, so keep in mind that anybody who has passed on was left off this list.

15 Hank Azaria – $70 Million

Via intouchweekly.com

Remembered for portraying David, the first man on Friends Phoebe fell for, it was heartbreaking for millions of fans when his work tore their relationship apart. A man of a seemingly thousand voices and talents, Hank Azaria has been involved in several major movies like Godzilla, Mystery Men, Along Came Polly and Run Fatboy Run. On top of that, he played a pivotal supporting role in the criminally-underrated drama, Shattered Glass, that tells one of the most compelling real life stories of deception put to film. That said, there is no doubt that his biggest claim to fame is as one of the voice actors that stars on The Simpsons where he brings to life several beloved characters. In fact, without him, we wouldn’t have Moe, Frank Grimes, Cletus, Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Snake, Duffman, and far too many more to list here. It should, therefore, come as no surprise, considering how many years he has been working on a show (that is a ratings behemoth), that he is worth an astonishing seventy million dollars.

14 Danny DeVito – $70 Million

Via cosmopolitan.com

A late addition to the cavalcade of famous actors to appear on Friends, Danny DeVito played an over-the-hill stripper that ruined Phoebe’s bachelorette party and then made it a lot of fun. An actor that has been well known for several decades at this point, his breakthrough role came when he was cast as Louie De Palma in Taxi and has returned to TV with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Also able to make the transition to the film world seemingly effortlessly, his resume includes movies like The War of the Roses, Batman Returns, Hoffa, Get Shorty, and Matilda, to name a few. A performer with immense staying power, his years of acting at the top of his field has allowed him to amass a net worth of seventy million dollars.

13 Matthew Perry – $70 Million

The first of the six main stars to make our list, Matthew Perry isn’t the only one to make the cut but will all of them end up here? You’ll have to keep reading to find out. An actor that has remained busy ever since he became a star, despite several notable roles there is still no question that playing Chandler on Friends is still his main claim to fame. Also appearing in films like Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes, Three to Tango, The Whole Nine Yards, and 17 Again, he has headlined his share of memorable movies. Even when his time as Chandler came to an end, however, his biggest roles came in shows like Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Good Wife, and Go On. Currently the co-creator, writer, star, and executive producer of a modern TV version of The Odd Couple, that job and his long career have allowed him to create a net worth of seventy million dollars for himself.

12 Courteney Cox – $75 Million

via Bustle

There is something that just feels right about the woman that brought Monica on Friends to life, Courteney Cox, following immediately after her onscreen husband on this list. Arguably the best-known performer at the start of series, it makes sense that she was the nucleus of the group at the beginning of the show. Having appeared in movies like Mr. Destiny, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Longest Yard, and most notably, the Scream franchise, her film achievements are quite obvious. Like Matthew Perry, however, she has also found continued success on television with starring roles in both Dirt and Cougar Town. Spending several decades as a well-paid actress at this point, she clearly has earned a net worth of seventy-five million dollars.

11 Reese Witherspoon – $80 Million

via The Odyssey Online

Cast as Jill Green on Friends, Rachel’s little sister that loves to shop and briefly dates Ross to get her sibling going, Reese was pretty great in the role. Witherspoon is highly respected actress who has won and has been nominated for several awards due to her fantastic work in movies like Walk the Line, Wild, Election, and more. Also a movie star in her own right, she has helped make films like Pleasantville, Cruel Intentions, American Psycho, Legally Blonde, and Sweet Home Alabama become huge successes. It is most likely those roles and the large pay cheques they must have earned her that have rewarded her with a net worth of eighty million dollars.

10 David Schwimmer – $80 Million

Via dailydot.com

An actor that will seemingly always be known as Ross Geller from Friends, David Schwimmer’s role on the show arguably changed the most over its run. Starting out as a serious scientist with a heart of gold by the end of the series, he’d become more of a lovable goof who routinely got himself in ridiculous situations but still remained funny until the end. After all, his glowing teeth and crazy tan still come to mind immediately when thinking of the show. Creating a second career for himself as a director of movies like Run Fatboy Run and Trust, he has also played several film roles in the years since leaving Ross behind. However, there is no question in our minds that the performance that made the greatest impact on the world by far was Robert Kardashian from The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Between all of his work and multiple careers, David has managed to create eighty million dollars of worth for himself.

9 Ben Stiller – $120 Million

Via tvguide.com

Tommy was a character from the third season episode of Friends named "The One With the Screamer," which was named after his performance. A man that is dating Rachel and comes off as kind to everyone but Ross, whom he loses it on and in front of multiple times, it was a hilarious role that we can’t imagine anyone pulling it off better than Ben Stiller did. A massive movie star, Ben has starred in a long list of movies like There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Night at the Museum, The Royal Tenenbaums, and way too many more to list here. Also a film director, a lot of people may not have realized that he worked behind the camera on films like Reality Bites, The Cable Guy, Zoolander, and Tropic Thunder. Considering that the films we just mentioned are only a fraction of his filmography, his 120-million-dollar fortune makes perfect sense.

8 Charlie Sheen – $125 Million

via Hollywood.com

A big star that appeared in a single episode of Friends as Ryan, an old flame of Phoebe’s and military man who comes to see her before getting chicken pox, it remains a memorable part of the show. A massive film star at one time, appearing in movies like Red Dawn, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Platoon, Wall Street, Young Guns, and Major League to name a few, Charlie Sheen relied on both his talent and undeniable charm. Charlie also found huge TV success in the years since his Friends appearance by starring in the shows Spin City, Two and a Half Men, and Anger Management. Over a huge and long-lasting career, Charlie has put together a net worth of one hundred and twenty-five million dollars which is more than enough to put him among the richest Friends actors.

7 Julia Roberts – $140 Million

via People

When Julia Roberts played Susie Moss in an episode of Friends that aired as part of its second season, it was big enough of a deal that it was broadcast immediately following the Super Bowl. A character that exacts revenge on Chandler by tricking him into undressing in a bathroom, stealing his clothes, and abandoning him there, it resulted in a hilarious situation. One of the biggest stars of her generation, or any other, she made a name for herself with movies like Pretty Woman, Hook, My Best Friend's Wedding, Notting Hill, and Erin Brockovich. Worth one hundred and forty million dollars currently, we think that the only reason that number isn’t larger is due to the fact that she chose to step back from her acting career in recent years.

6 Sean Penn – $150 Million

Via glamour.com

We’re just going to say it. Sean Penn is a huge star and a great get for a show to have on, but he seems like the last person to appear on a sitcom. Someone that appears to take himself quite seriously, he was surprisingly good as Eric, a man that was involved with Phoebe and her twin sister, Ursula, in an awkward situation. A movie star that also has raked in awards over his career, movies like Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Carlito's Way, Dead Man Walking, The Game, I Am Sam, and Milk are among his most notable films. Worth an incredible one hundred and fifty million dollars at present, he seems to be poised to increase that number a great deal in the years to come.

5 Jennifer Aniston – $150 Million

via YouTube

When Friends started, Jennifer Aniston may have been best known for the movie Leprechaun or the TV version of Ferris Bueller, but that changed very quickly. Cast as Rachel Green, the woman at the center of the show’s principle romance, she was popular enough to inspire a hairstyle and turn herself into a huge star. The most famous of the main cast in the years since the series ended, she is known these days for movies like Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly, Horrible Bosses, and We're the Millers. It should, therefore, come as no surprise at all that she has the largest net worth of any of the Friends stars at an impressive one hundred and fifty million dollars.

4 Penn Jillette – $175 Million

Via netflixlife.com

Of the long list of Friends guest stars, Penn Jillette’s role as an encyclopedia salesman has to be one of the most unique and entertaining cameos ever. Interacting with Joey and attempting in vain to sell him thousands of dollars worth of informative books, his befuddlement at this man’s ignorance was truly hilarious. Not predominantly known as an actor, despite making many movie and TV appearances, often times playing himself, he instead is one of the most famous magicians alive. Headlining in Las Vegas with his partner, Teller, for years on end now, the gig has made him a very rich man with a net worth of one hundred and seventy-five million dollars.

3 George Clooney – $180 Million

via Decider

A mark of how hot this sitcom was from the very start, George Clooney and his former ER co-star, Noah Wyle, made a guest appearance during the seventeenth episode of Friends’ first season. Playing a pair of doctors that briefly date Monica and Rachel, they didn’t stick around long but their presence alone says something. Going on to become one of the biggest movie stars around, George appeared in movies like From Dusk till Dawn, Out of Sight, Ocean's Eleven, and Gravity, to name but a few. With a resume as strong as that, it makes perfect sense that he has managed to amass a net worth of one hundred and eighty million dollars at the time of this writing.

2 Bruce Willis – $180 Million

Via YouTube.com

There is a story that has been out there for years now that Bruce Willis appeared on Friends as a result of a bet he made during the time they worked on The Whole Nine Yards together. While there doesn’t seem to be any proof that the bet actually took place, Bruce would appear on an episode as a love interest of Rachel’s shortly after that movie wrapped. Best known for films like Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense, and Sin City, he has had a huge impact on the recent history of film. That is why his bank account is huge figuratively due to his net worth of one hundred and eighty million dollars.

1 Brad Pitt – $240 Million

Via YouTube.com

Cameoing on Friends as an old friend of Ross that hated Rachel, a woman played by someone he was married to in real life at the time, the hilarity that ensued in large part played on that dynamic. Shockingly hilarious, if you ask us, his acting as a man barely able to hold in his rage at being in the same room as the girl he grew up hating is among the best any guest star did in the history of the show. Of course, Brad Pitt’s real career is as a movie star at the highest level. With massive movies like Interview with the Vampire, Seven, Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven, and World War Z under his belt, it is no wonder that studios are willing to drop off truckloads of cash to him. As a result, Brad reportedly has a net worth of two hundred and forty million dollars at the time of this writing, which earns him the top spot on this list.
