Cash Warren Got Jessica Alba (And 21 Other Regular People Who Married Into Fame And Money)

Most people who pursue money and fame seek out relationships that will land them more money and more fame. Rarely does a person find success in Hollywood and marry someone from their hometown. When you're a celebrity, your dating pool is limitless. Celebs get together with celebs, and we just know this to be true, but there have been a few exceptions.

There are those who never imagined themselves becoming famous. They either get thrown into the "high life," or they realize they don't like it very much once they arrive. They take comfort in being with someone who reminds them of home and who adds simplicity to their very chaotic lives. When two famous people wed, the odds of their relationship lasting aren't good. Schedules conflict, they can't support each other as they should, and time passes quickly by with little interaction and intimacy.

It shouldn't be such a surprise to us when some of our famous choose to marry individuals they know will be home for them, and most "normals" are more than willing to make their lives about their famous spouses if it means they get to live comfortably.

Marrying a celeb doesn't mean your dreams will see their end, though. Some of the famous on our list have married painters and yoga instructors, jewelry designers and aspiring artists. These normals can afford to pursue their dreams without having to worry about how bills will be paid, thanks to the celebs they've synced hearts with. It sure seems like a win-win situation, but it's still odd to see a celeb out with a normal person.

His chosen career in the music industry didn't take off right away but it eventually did skyrocket. The two now have a combined worth of $40 million.

Ellen and Chris were married in 2007 at New York City Hall with mayor Bloomberg as their witness. Fun fact: they're both obsessed with the Boston Celtics. They rarely miss a game.

The two went out to dinner and the paparazzi went crazy. George, impressed with how Amal handled the paparazzi, knew he had to wife her.

George proposed in April over a home-cooked meal and some champagne. The comical part is that Amal made him wait for twenty minutes before giving him a "yes." They were married in Italy in September and were surprised with twins in June. It wasn't in the plan, but they're extremely happy, and now, Amal can afford whatever her heart desires.

Rumor has it, the two have split and are now living separate lives. When Julie was approached to deny or confirm, she simply said, "We're much too tired to divorce." Things were pretty smooth for about nine years, but unfortunately Tobey and Jennifer just called it quits. Nobody really knows why. They seem to have a drama-free relationship. In fact, they're best friends who still watch Netflix together and order in.

Maybe they'll rekindle their flame eventually, but Jennifer is doing well enough now with her business that she certainly doesn't need any of Tobey's help. The two genuinely want to remain close.

Scarlett has already been seen showing some PDA with Colin Jost, one of SNL's writers. She's been forward about not dating fellow actors, claiming that they're "too moody." Jerry Seinfeld met his wife Jessica while they were working out at the gym. She had just returned from her honeymoon, but didn't think twice about accepting Jerry's advance.

She dumped her new husband and got hitched to Jerry in 1999. Some have accused her of being a gold-digger since she didn't have any money of her own, but sought out the rich and famous to flirt with.

Whatever she did to land Jerry must have been impressive for him to be okay with her leaving her new husband to hang with him. Jessica has also been accused of plagiarizing her cookbook, Deceptively Delicious.  Jerry tried to come to her defence when the press started criticizing her, but there was really nothing he could say to justify her actions.

Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego are a pretty secretive couple, but there are a few things we know. They met in NYC in spring of 2013 and married that summer. No one had a clue they had tied the knot until they'd already been married for months.

Zoe was very pregnant with twins soon after, causing the media to believe they'd married because of her pregnancy. Zoe was pretty upset about the speculation and decided to spout off to the world and criticized the media for invading their privacy, which probably just ended up validating the rumor.

Marco is from pretty humble beginnings. His mom stayed at home with him growing up and his dad was a writer. Marco began painting at a young age. He worked for years to get some attention, which started to finally pay off around the time he met Zoe. That's when he sold his first piece for $30,000. What a good luck charm, that gal.

4 Matt Damon Married A Bartender Named Luciana Barroso

via: justjared.com

Matt Damon met his wife, Luciana Barroso, in a night club in Miami in 2003 while filming Stuck on You. He didn't want to go out but his buddies dragged him. He eventually went live with their love story on The Ellen Show, saying, "I literally saw her across a crowded room, literally. Eight years and four kids later, that's my life. I don't know how else our paths would've crossed if that didn't happen. If all those things didn't happen." That's quite sweet, Matt.

As a bartender, tips can add up to be quite a bit, but even on Luciana's best night, she wouldn't be able to give herself the life that Matt has been able to give her. Matt and Luciana's story is proof that you can still find true love in a bar.

He's snatched up a down-to-earth, techie with a free, fun spirit named Tasha McCauley. Now that Tasha is married to Joseph, she's been able to start her own company called GeoSimCities, which creates 3-D models of cities for clients. Pretty impressive.

"I'm married to a woman who doesn't want strangers being privy to her life," said Joseph. He and Tasha have done a great job keeping the two children they've had together sheltered from the spotlight, and they've done very well for themselves. Though Joseph had Tasha beat when they met, she just might be surpassing him in pay soon.

That chapel ended up being closed. A year later, they married for real and are soon expecting their first child, a baby girl.

Lauren is the co-founder of Kind Campaign, "a movement, documentary and school program based upon the powerful belief in KINDness, that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl crime."

Fun fact: Aaron and Lauren never fight. "People get in fights because they don't communicate, because you don't want to hurt the other person. My wife and I do not argue. We communicate. We talk. But we've never fought in our entire relationship," Aaron said in an interview with People.
