8 Stars Who Really Got Together On-Screen (And 8 Who Never Would)

It is perhaps understandable that co-stars in Hollywood often find themselves getting close to one another. You're spending countless hours working together and promoting your projects. Not to mention that in several cases, acting involves checking each other out in their birthday suit and getting hot and heavy.

In some of the cases that we have for you below, the level of intimacy that was seen on the camera paled in comparison to the heat that was happening when the cameras were turned off. Except in two cases where the cameras stayed on and the intimacy seen in the final project is as real as the action you may engage in on a regular basis.

But Hollywood isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Half of our list will consist of co-stars who definitely had to dial up their acting ability to a 10 when filming scenes alongside their counterparts.

Whether it was immature actions on the part of Leonardo DiCaprio, one actress who had to deal with Shia LeBeouf's drunken antics or Charlie Sheen acting like a jerk; these 8 actresses won't be signing up for a project with these actors again.

We have examples from some of the biggest shows on television, such as Game of Thrones, Seinfeld, and The Big Bang Theory, as well as some of the biggest films of all-time such as Kramer Vs. Kramer and The Amazing Spider-Man helping make this list all the more enjoyable.

16 Hooking Up - Anna Paquin And Stephen Meyer (True Blood)

There aren't too many television shows out there that feature more explicit nudity than True Blood. So perhaps it's logical that Anna Paquin and Stephen Meyer both felt comfortable enough around each other to start a relationship,

"We met screen testing for the show, we were both single at the time and there was just this kind of spark. I didn't see her for three months and she had gone from having dark hair to this beautiful blonde and I had gone from being blonde to this dark vampire."

The two have since gotten married. While Paquin and Moyer both booty bump in the series, Moyer also had to watch his partner engage in some adult activity with other characters such as Alexander Skarsgård's but thankfully she says it never felt awkward!

15 Never Would - Selma Blair And Charlie Sheen (Anger Management)

When Charlie Sheen sat down with Jay Leno, he calmly explained why Selma Blair's character had left the show

"Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thought the Anger Management character was a little dull."

That's much nicer than the report that had come out earlier that revealed how Sheen allegedly fired Blair over a text message. In which he also decided that calling her a c*nt was a professional way to end that relationship. Though to be fair, expecting Charlie Sheen to act in a professional manner seems like it'd be a surefire way to find yourself constantly being disappointed in his actions.

14 Hooking Up - Rose Leslie And Kit Harington (Game Of Thrones)

There is no shortage of characters in the Game of Thrones universe who are no longer around. While Kit Harington has had his own brush with death, he's managed to keep kicking. His partner, both in real life and on the show, Rose Leslie (who played Ygritte) wasn't quite so lucky.

Perhaps they just wanted to help keep each other warm as it was reported by Leslie that the temperatures during filming could drop to at least -18. You also need to hope that it was a bit warmer in the scenes where she lets the audience see her in her birthday suit.

While Ygritte died on the show, their love is still very much still alive. The two got together in 2012 and recently announced that they are living together.

13 Never Would - Julia Roberts And Nick Nolte (I Love Trouble)

There are so many romantic comedy films that Julia Roberts has starred in that it can be hard to keep track. But if you travel back to 1994, it was I Love Trouble that was making its way to theaters. The film starred Roberts alongside Nick Nolte.

While they were lovers on the screen, their relationship outside of it left much to be desired. When describing Nolte, Roberts said

"[He is] completely charming and very nice, he’s also completely disgusting. He’s going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people.

Perhaps understandably, Nolte wasn't that big a fan of her comments. At least Roberts knew that would be the case though!

12 Hooking Up - Kaley Cuoco And Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory)

People were ecstatic when Penny and Leonard finally started knocking boots towards the end of season 1. But perhaps the two had to practice kissing so much in rehearsal that it translated to their real life as well!

Cuoco and Galecki spent two years dating, but kept their relationship a secret from everyone; even their closest friends. You can imagine that must have meant plenty of dates at home, especially because the paparazzi follows their every move.

While they are no longer together, that may give some newly added enjoyment to the series for you. We also have to commend both of them for being able to stay professional and clearly taking the steps necessary to make sure their relationship ended in a healthy manner.

11 Never Would - Katherine Heigl And Seth Rogen (Knocked Up)

Katherine Heigl has the reputation in Hollywood as being kind of a bitch. One of the biggest reasons for that comes from the fact that she openly trashed her film Knocked Up after its release, calling it a little sexist.

The comments understandably put a wedge between Heigl and the lead of the film, Seth Rogen. When talking about his thoughts on her comments, Rogen said

“When I heard afterward that she didn’t like it, that she seemed to not like the process, and she did not like the end product either. I think when that happens – also your trust feels somewhat betrayed. We have a very open process. We’re like, ‘You have the ability to say anything at any moment – I don’t like this scene, I don’t like how I’m coming across here.'"

To Heigl's credit, Rogen did say that she was fantastic to work with during the making of the film.

10 Hooking Up - Natalie Krill And Erika Linder (Below Her Mouth)

The fact that the genre for Below Her Mouth is that it's a Canadian erotic romantic drama, you can understand that moviegoers were expecting some pretty raunchy behavior. But they still may have been shocked at how far the two lead females, Natalie Krill and Erika Linder, go to show their love and affection for one another.

The film garnered more attention when it was revealed that the women did, in fact, engage in intercourse while the cameras were rolling.

Perhaps adding to their comfort level is the fact that the film used an all-female crew, but it's definitely a unique film for both of these ladies to be adding to their resume.

9 Never Would - Margot Robbie And Jared Leto (Suicide Squad)

There aren't many relationships that are weirder than that of the Joker and Harley Quinn. Jared Leto's performance may have been disappointing as far as many critics and fans were concerned, but he still went through a great deal of effort into preparing for the role.

While Leto may be perfectly friendly, you can imagine Robbie would want nothing to do with him if he's in Joker mode. During filming of Suicide Squad, fellow cast member Ike Barinholtz revealed how Leto had tortured Robbie

"All the actors were rehearsing, and his character is in love with Margot Robbie, she's Harley Quinn. So, we're rehearsing, and this actor who plays the Joker's kind of lieutenant, walks in and he goes, 'Present for Ms. Quinn.' Hands her a box. She opens the f**king box, and a live, giant black rat pops out. And we're like, 'What the f**k is going on? That's crazy!'”

8 Hooking Up - Emma Stone And Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man)

You can imagine that getting the role of Spider-Man was one of the most exciting moments of Andrew Garfield's life. But just as exciting may have been his relationship that developed with Emma Stone.

"Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn't help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her and not let her get away. [Laughs.] Like an animal preying on a smaller animal, but a wily smaller animal," said Garfield when talking about their real-life relationship.

The two started dating during filming, but unfortunately ended their relationship in 2015. Let's hope Garfield used his spidey senses and was able to foresee the breakup coming if it was Stone that initiated it!

7 Never Would - Meryl Streep And Dustin Hoffman (Kramer Vs. Kramer)

There are plenty of fantastic films on our list, but the most successful of all of them may be Kramer Vs. Kramer. It came out in 1979 and was a dominant force at that year's Academy Awards, taking home 5 awards.

But when talking about her relationship with Hoffman, Streep was less than positive

"I found out much later, while we were doing the publicity, that he was mad at me. He, Dustin, was mad at me, Meryl … I still don’t know why … He was doing the interviews and he was saying that he was so furious with me and that I was playing a game with him."

Hoffman was later asked about the situation and admitted that his real life divorce with his wife may have been impacting his mood. Funnily enough, both Hoffman and Streep were recipients of an Academy Award.

6 Hooking Up - Sophia Bush And Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill)

When Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray announced their engagement back in July 2004, there were plenty of people who were quick to offer their congratulations. The two had an intriguing relationship on the series One Tree Hill and things could have been great.

Yet their marriage proved to be a disaster and after only 5 months, filed for separation.

"We were two stupid kids who had no business being in a relationship in the first place. To all the other costars who've worked it out, more power to you," said Bush when talking about their relationship.

One reason for their split? It was reported that Murray allegedly cheated on Bush with Paris Hilton!

5 Never Would - Claire Danes And Leonardo DiCaprio (Romeo + Juliet)

Claire Danes has had an incredibly successful run on the series Homeland. As well as this, Danes has found love in the arms of Hugh Dancy who she married back in 2009. The two have one child together.

Their son was born in 2012 but when he is in high school though and reading "Romeo and Juliet" perhaps Danes will pull out one of her earliest films, Romeo + Juliet which she starred in back in 1996.

Don't expect her to shout praise towards her co-star on the film, Leonardo DiCaprio, as he was according to her a nightmare to work with and would often be incredibly immature around the set.

4 Hooking Up - Chloe Sevigny And Vincent Gallo (The Brown Bunny)

While we aren't too sure if Chloe Sevigny and Vincent Gallo were hooking up behind the scenes, you better believe they were getting down and dirty when the cameras were rolling. In fact, despite being an independent film that entered various festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, The Brown Bunny featured explicit oral loving given out by Sevigny on Gallo.

The fact that Gallo also wrote and directed the film means you can definitely credit him with the idea of going with such a raunchy scene.

When talking about the scene 7 years after it was filmed, Sevigny said

"What's happened with that is all very complicated. There are a lot of emotions. I'll probably have to go to therapy at some point. But I love Vincent. The film is tragic and beautiful, and I'm proud of it and my performance."

3 Never Would - Heidi Swedberg And Jason Alexander (Seinfeld)

Seinfeld had several side characters who helped make the fantastic show, all the better. Jerry perhaps had the most famous flings, but one of the longest came in the form of George's on-again, off-again relationship with Susan. At least prior to her untimely demise.

But when talking about working alongside Swedberg, Alexander was far from kind

"I couldn't figure out how to play off of her. Her instincts for doing a scene, where the comedy was, and mine were always misfiring. And she would do something, and I would go, 'OK, I see what she's going to do — I'm going to adjust to her.' And I'd adjust, and then it would change."

2 Hooking Up - Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song)

Miley Cyrus is one of the many stars in Hollywood that got her start on the Disney brand. But while Hannah Montana may have played a large role in her career, the most influential project she has ever worked on may have been The Last Song. While the film wasn't exceptional by any means, it was where Miley met and fell in love with Liam Hemsworth.

While the two have had an on-again, off-again relationship over the years, they're at least at the moment very much in love. Cyrus' acting career has taken a backseat to her musical talents, but in 2016 she did appear in the Woody Allen series Crisis In Six Scenes.

1 Never Would - Mia Wasikowska And Shia LaBeouf (Lawless)

Shia LaBeouf's character in the film Lawless was plenty familiar with getting inebriated. And Shia, wanting to be a method actor, would often get drunk off-set in order to help hammer home the intricacies of the character.

His behavior when under the influence (which is also documented by his time in handcuffs in real life) was enough to severely turn off his love interest in the film, Mia Wasikowska

She was calling her attorney, like, ‘Get me the [bleep] out of here.' Mia was ready to walk away from the movie. I was really pretty aggressive about it, and not in any kind of weird, strange way, but I don’t think she had ever experienced anything like that," said LaBeouf when talking about their working relationship.
