Jennifer Aniston made herself a household name when she played Rachel Green on the epic television series Friends.

Aniston won over the hearts of America throughout the nineties and she went from being a normal television star to one of the most famous human beings on the planet.

Pamela Anderson - Broke

Once upon a time, Pamela Anderson was not only one of the sexiest women on the planet but she was also extremely successful.

However, years have passed since her golden days in the nineties and her fortune, as well as her good looks, are slowly slipping away from her.

Rumor has it that Anderson owed over $1.7 million dollars in 2009. Apparently, her extravagant, diva-like lifestyle finally got the best of her. Without working as much anymore and without making any sound investments, Anderson is simply spending more than she is making, which is never a smart thing to do.

The notorious blonde once stated "I have to think of moderation, which is not a word that's in my vocabulary. But I try” and we hope she has tried to learn what moderation is when it comes to spending money.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen - Rich

When it comes to child stars in the 90s there are very few that are as successful as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The set of twins became household names as young children when they split the role of Michelle Tanner on the epic television series Full House. Full House was one of those shows that had and still has a huge following.

Full House opened numerous doors for the twins and from there they not only went on to appear in a variety of different movies but they also launched their own clothing line.

The Olsen Twins are a brand on their own and not only are they super talented they are also fierce business women. Although they put show business behind them, these sisters are still considered legends when it comes to 90s sitcom stars.

MC Hammer - Broke

Stanley Kirk Burrell, better known to the world as MC Hammer was a pretty big deal in the late 1980's all the way until the late 1990s. The American recording artist, producer, and entrepreneur has made some financial mistakes throughout his life.

In 1991 the recording artist made a little over $33 million dollars. Only 5 years later, in 1996, he was already $14 million dollars in debt and was forced to declare bankruptcy.

Many people are curious as to how he even spent so much money in that short amount of time and the answer is simple. Cars, planes, companies, and mansions, all of which were not necessary.

MC Hammer once stated “Money has never been an issue with me. I will make and continue to make plenty of money” however, that does not seem to be the case.

Mario Lopez - Rich

For many 90's lovers, Saved By The Bell is known as one of the best after school shows ever. The show was awesome and it is what launched Mario Lopez into stardom. Lopez has made quite a career for himself throughout the years, not predominantly as an actor, but more so as a host. Since his days on Saved By The Bell, Lopez has hosted shows like Extra and Dancing With The Stars.

His charming attitude in combination with his striking good looks is just a few reasons why America has fallen so deeply in love with him.

Lopez, who is of Hispanic origins is very proud of his roots and has said: “I'm proud of my background, so I hope there will be more roles where Hispanics are being portrayed.”

Jodie Sweetin - Broke

Full House was one of the biggest shows of the 90s and it is where actress Jodie Sweetin found the most success throughout her career. Sweetin who played Stephanie Tanner on the sitcom was once one of those girls every other girl wanted to be.

However, with great power comes great responsibility and the fame and riches proved to be too much for this child star.

Sweetin is a recovering meth addict and has not been the most responsible star with her cash flow. “We all have our demons. When we finally learn to let them go, we get to live and be free” said the actress.

It was stated in her divorce papers that her home with ex Cody Herpin had been in foreclosure. Sweetin had so much going for her and she continuously went down the wrong path which is what landed her in this situation.

Lucky for her, Full House came out with a spinoff show and she was asked to return to the small screen, which means, she is making more money than she was a few years ago!

Melissa Joan Hart - Rich

Growing up, girls across the country were hoping that on their birthday their family would reveal to them that they had powers, just like Melissa Joan Hart's character on the show Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Hart was living the dream then and she is still living it today. She has had many different roles after her big break and although none of them have had as much success she is clearly smart with her spending.

Melissa Joan Hart has always been a good role model and she continues to set a good example to her fans. We adore her and are happy to see she is still rolling in cash.

Sinbad stated the following in a previous interview,

"We ask for way too much stuff - way too much stuff. You got a job making $100 a year and bought a house for $3 million. Talking about, 'I don't know what happened with the payment.'”

Jerry O'Connell - Rich

From 1995 until 2000, Jerry O'Connell played Quinn Mallory in the popular television series Sliders. This successful actor has also been in projects like Scream, Jerry Maguire, Crossing Jordan and of course, our personal favorite, Stand By Me.

O'Connell is one of those actors who is talented, smart and good looking. The New York Native also landed himself an incredible lady. In 2007 he married the beautiful Rebecca Romijn and the couple has been together ever since.

O'Connell is a successful actor, yes but what he is most proud of is being a father “When you have little girls, you're the coolest person in the world. I know at some point that's going to end; in their adolescence, I'll become the opposite of that, especially if I'm parked outside a high school party” stated O'Connell in a previous interview.

Dustin Diamond - Broke

If Hollywood teaches us anything, it is that money runs out quickly. Dustin Diamond is a perfect example of a teen star who did not take good care of his finances. Diamond who played Screech on the hit television series Saved By The Bell has come across some financial difficulties throughout his lifetime.

A few years ago, in 2006, Diamond went online selling T-shirt with his photo on them in an attempt to raise $250,000 dollars in order to not lose his home to foreclosure. Diamond had also filed for bankruptcy in 2001, only five years before this incident.

Regardless of what we all may think, Diamond is fairly wise and has said “Know your job and don't fake it. It looks easy, but the ones that make it look easy to know what the hell they're doing. They may tell you around the dining room table that you're funny and you should be an actor, but until you challenge yourself by getting on a stage or in front of a camera, that's when your knowledge of the craft separates you from the pretenders.”

Will Smith - Rich

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is what turned Will Smith from an actor to a household name. From 1990 until 1996, Smith was killing it on the small screen. From there, he moved on to bigger projects and bigger productions and has gone from being a successful actor to one of the most successful actors appearing in projects like Hitch, I Am Legend and suicide squad.

Will Smith is one of those people who is loved by so many, his talent is undeniable and his passion for his craft and the world around him is exemplary of the man he is. Smith, who is a father and husband has always put his family ahead of work, something that is very admirable. Smith, is an amazing father is always filled with great advice “Don’t chase people. Be yourself, do your own thing and work hard. The right people – the ones who really belong in your life – will come to you. And stay.”

Brendan Fraser - Broke

In the 90s it seemed as if Brendan Fraser was going to have a very long career. Starring in projects like The Mummy, School Ties and George of the Jungle, Fraser seemed to be the perfect leading man.

However, like many people in the world, Fraser did not know how to keep his success going. In 2013, Fraser asked a Connecticut court to reduce his $50,000 a month alimony payment in order to save him from being completely poor.

With fewer roles for him and faded good looks, Fraser's career did not turn out the way most of us had expected it to. The actor has remained positive throughout his downfall and has stated “I guess darkness serves a purpose: to show us that there is redemption through chaos. I believe in that. I think that's the basis of Greek mythology.”

Mayim Bialik - Rich

Mayim Bialik is a perfect example of someone who monetized her success over the years. Bialik who is currently known for her role on the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory was successful way before The Big Bang Theory was a thing. Bialik was a successful star in the 90s appearing in projects like Blossom and Don't Drink the Water.

Bialik is not only a successful actress but she is also quite educated “I have a neuroscience background - that's what my doctorate is in - and I was trained to study hormones of attachment, so I definitely feel my parenting is informed by that” said the actress. This background has probably prepared her for her role on The Big Bang Theory and may explain why she plays her character so well as it is someone she can relate to.

Toni Braxton - Broke

Braxton did admit to being obsessed to home decor, claiming that she went a little overboard when it came to decorating her home “I love dishes and house things so I kind of lost it a little bit on the house ware. One-thousand thread-count sheets, that's what I indulged in.”

We are not too sure how many dishes she had to buy to become bankrupt but the reality remains that she had to file.
