8 Female Celebs Who Play For Both "Teams" (And 7 Male Celebs)

Here are 15 famous celebs who have confirmed their attraction to both genders.

There are a number of celebrities who are in the spotlight right now who have used their position to support teenagers and other young stars who are struggling with their orientation. While there are now a number of countries who have made same-s*x marriage legal, there are still a number of countries that refuse to accept that there is any orientation other than being straight.

Having stars in the spotlight who proudly speak out about the problems that they have faced en route to where they currently are has definitely helped a number of their fans to push forward through their issues. It's a common trend now for celebrities to be able to reveal who they really are because the world is now considered to be a much different place than it was a number of decades ago.

While there are still a number of celebrities who don't want their personal life to be discussed in the headlines or used against them on social media, there are still a few who are happy to share who they really are with the public because if they don't feel the need to hide anymore then the hope is that it will help many other people in the same position to realize that they are not alone. The following list looks at eight female celebrities who have already confirmed that they swing both ways or have been rumoured to be, as well as seven male celebrities who are not shy when it comes to their orientation.

15 Female: Amber Heard

Amber Heard is perhaps best-known as the ex-wife of Johnny Depp, even though she had already had a lengthy acting career before she met the Pirates of the Caribbean star on the set of The Rum Diary back in 2011.

Amber first revealed that she was bi back in 2010 before admitting this year that she had been warned that coming out as gay could have meant the end of her career seven years ago. She said that filmmakers then began to doubt whether or not she could play the lead role of a female in a romantic movie. She said: "It was not easy. I was the only one working in this way, so it was definitely difficult because no one had done it. I did that even though everyone told me it would end my career, without a doubt." Amber said that she has never tried to hide her orientation and disagrees with reports that she revealed her s*xuality in 2010 since she never felt the need to come out.

14 Male: Billie Joe Armstrong

Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong has become a well-known star all over with world because of the music he has made over the past few decades with his record-breaking group, but being in the spotlight over the past few years hasn't prevented him from stepping forward and revealing his true s*xuality. Billie revealed that he identifies as bis in an interview with The Advocate back in 1995.

He said: “It’s something that I’ve always been interested in. I think people are born bis*xual, and it’s just that our parents say it’s taboo. It’s ingrained in our heads that it’s bad when it’s not bad at all. It’s a very beautiful thing.” Despite revealing more than two decades ago that he is also attracted to members of the same gender, Armstrong is currently married to a woman called Adrienne Armstrong and the couple has two sons named Jakob and Joseph.

13 Female: Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart will always be best associated with her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga, that ended a few years ago. It was while filming the sequence of films that Stewart met Robert Pattinson and the couple then dated until 2012 when it was revealed that Stewart had been unfaithful with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Since the breakup, Kristen has dated a number of men and women and is currently in a relationship with Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell. Stewart has never allowed stigma to dictate the things she does in her personal life but even she has admitted that she's seen it: 'I mean, yeah, it's definitely still there. People still have some horrendous experiences. But it's cool that you don't have to nail everything down anymore. That whole certainty about whether you're straight or gay or whatever. You're not confused if you're bis*xual. It's not confusing at all. For me, it's quite the opposite.'

12 Male: Andy Dick

Andy Dick has made headlines all over the world this year after he was fired from the independent film Raising Buchanan amid claims of s*xual harassment. Dick has become well-known for his controversial approach to other people and even revealed that he may have licked someone's face to say goodbye at some point.

The actor hasn't had the best personal life over the past few years, which has seen him admit to liking both male and female attention, but he seemed to turn being bi into a joke. Dick has had an issue with alcohol and arrests and it seems that he is now trying to sort his life out after his 13th visit to rehab. Despite these claims, Dick was married to Ivone Kowalczyk from 1986 until their divorce back in 1990 and is currently in a relationship with another woman called Lena Sved. Dick also has three children.

11 Female: Kesha

Kesha has taken the world by storm over the past few years and became a household name following the success of her single "TiK, ToK." The 30-year-old star has hinted about her orientation since the beginning of her career and back in 2010, when she revealed in an interview with Out magazine that she "liked people." She didn't confirm whether she was gay or straight.

Two years later in an interview with Seventeen magazine, the star finally revealed her romantic preferences with the world when she said, “I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with." It seems that Kesha had been keeping this to herself throughout her career, but she finally reached a point where she felt it was the right time to tell the public and her fanbase because she also stated that "negative comments motivate me."

10 Male: Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger is one of the best-known musicians in the world and at 74 years old, Jagger has been in the spotlight for the past six decades. The musician is known as one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones but has always been able to adapt his music to fit in with any generational gap over the past few years.

Even though Mick has been married to a woman in the past and reportedly in relationships with a number of others, the singer has always been plagued by rumours about a relationship between him and David Bowie. A number of stars who worked with the duo around the time that "Dancing in the Street" was released have confirmed that there was much more than just friendship between them. There are even reports that Bowie's wife found the two in bed together and hardly reacted at all, just offering the two men coffee instead.

9 Female: Evan Rachel Wood

Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood confessed her real feelings about how she found the same gender attractive at a recent HRC event in North Carolina. Wood revealed that the hate that surrounds orientation in society right now and when she was younger forced her to bury her feelings throughout her teen years.

She grew up as a tomboy but confirmed that she did still find men attractive as well. The actress stated that she currently identifies as bi, something that she originally revealed on social media back in 2012. Wood was married to Jamie Bell for two years and the couple have a son together. She is currently engaged to Zach Villa but admitted that she is still drawn to the same gender. She confirmed, "I think women are beautiful, but because I was born that way I never once stopped to think that was strange or anything to fear."

8 Male: Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller has been in a number of blockbuster films over the past few years, including last year's Fantastic Beasts. It was his performance in The Perks of Being A Wallflower that hit home the most for the star though since he played a gay star who was bullied for his s*xuality.

Miller himself has revealed that he had fallen prey to a number of attacks when he was younger from people who didn't fully understand him. While his comments made many fans assume that the star was gay, that isn't entirely the case: “The way I would choose to identify myself wouldn’t be gay. I’ve been attracted mostly to ‘shes’ but I’ve been with many people and I’m open to love wherever it can be found." Ezra reprises his role in the new Fantastic Beasts movie that's set for release in the near future and continues to speak out about how proud he is of his orientation.

7 Female: Megan Fox

Megan Fox has been an international s*x symbol for most of her career, but it seems that her role in the Transformers movies was something that really thrust her into the spotlight and allowed her to talk about her orientation. Megan has never tried to hide the fact that she swings both ways, but surprisingly it seems that she doesn't enjoy kissing women on screen as much.

She revealed that she found it hard kissing Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer's Body because it was so awkward. Despite this, Megan stands by her early claim about her romantic preferences, she told Esquire magazine, “I have no question in my mind about being bis*xual. I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who was bis*xual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.”

6 Male: Michael Stipe

REM singer Michael Stipe is another superstar in a long line of famous faces who waited until quite late in their life to confirm the rumours about their orientation. Michael confirmed that he was frightened by the 1980s and the problems with AIDS because he was unsure where he fitted in at that point along with many other young people during that time.

The REM singer confirmed the suspicions back in 2011 as part of an interview with Observer. He said, “On a sliding scale of s*xuality I’d place myself around 80-20, but I definitely prefer men to women. I [have been] with, and enjoyed [being] with, women until I met someone that I fell in love with, and who is now my boyfriend.” The 57-year-old has never tried to hide who he was, but he decided to wait until the most opportune time to reveal his true identity to the world.

5 Female: Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is one of the best-known actresses in the world and has taken Hollywood by storm over the past few decades, but as well as being a household name, she is well-known to have been married to fellow actor Brad Pitt until recently.

Before Jolie and Pitt became one of the biggest power couples in Hollywood, the Tomb Raider star was in a relationship with her Foxfire co-star Jenny Shimizu back in 1996. Jolie has never felt the need to hide her s*xuality over the past few decades and is even raising her children to be open to the way that they feel. When Jolie was voted as the hottest female actress by Jane magazine a few years ago, she gave a fantastic response to the fans who had voted for her. She said, "They're right to think that about me because I'm the person most likely to sleep with my female fans. I genuinely love other women. And I think they know that."

4 Male: Alan Cumming

Alan Cumming has been part of a number of controversial roles throughout his career, including a cross-dresser in the TV adaptation of Martina Cole's The Runaway. Cumming has also made a name for himself on Broadway over the past few years and it seems that he has openly been forced to reiterate that he is bi despite being married to a man.

The 52-year old recently spoke about this in an interview with New Instinct where he stated, “I have a healthy appetite and a healthy imagination. I still define myself as a bis*xual even though I have chosen to be with Grant. I’m attracted to the female form even though I am with a man and I just feel that bis*xuals have a bad rap.” Cumming has been married to Grant Shaffer since 2012 and has also been married to a woman called Hilary Lyon, but the couple divorced back in 1993.

3 Female: Anna Paquin

True Blood star Anna Paquin isn't exactly shy when it comes to the scenes she is willing to perform on-screen with members of the opposite gender, but as well as being the main star of the popular vampire series which has become famous for its blood-fuelled love scenes, Anna has revealed that it isn't only members of the opposite gender that she's interested in.

Paquin first revealed that she was bi back in 2010 despite being married to True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer for the past seven years. Paquin has since revealed that she feels that marriage and being bi are not mutually exclusive. She told Huffington Post, "There are people that are going to probably go to their grave thinking whatever they think about the LGBT community. That's their problem, not mine. And there are people that think that monogamy and bis*xuality are mutually exclusive. Again, their problem, not mine."

2 Male: Gavin Rossdale

Gavin Rossdale has become well-known as the Bush frontman, but he was also the husband of singer Gwen Stefani from 2002 until their divorce was finalized back in 2016. Throughout their marriage, there were rumours that Rossdale was "experimenting" with cross-dressing singer Marilyn, who was also known as Peter Robinson.

These rumours were finally confirmed back in 2010 when Rossdale confessed that he did have a affair with the singer. Even Boy George had revealed that an affair had happened between the two back in the 1980s but Rossdale claimed that he was worried about the media glare that would be on his band if he had come clean 15 years before when George first stroked the rumours. He has since stated that he regretted coming clean about the historic affair because he has three young children with Gwen who later divorced him, citing irreconcilable differences back in 2016.

1 Female: Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is one of the best-known actresses in the world after spending the past few decades at the top of the Hollywood ladder, but it seems that even though Drew has been married three times over the past two decades to men, she also has an interest in the opposite gender.

The Never Been Kissed star finally admitted that she was bi back in 2003 after keeping it hidden for a number of years. Drew admitted in an interview back in 2007,  "Do I like women s*xually? Yes, I do. Totally, I think a woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful." Drew is said to have had numerous affairs with women throughout her career and has revealed that it is something that she will continue to do. Drew filed for divorce back in 2016 from her latest husband Will Kopelman and has two children.
