The truth is that the little brat the world has come to know as the "Cash Me Ousside" girl may not really be as tough as she wants us to think. She likes to act tough, threaten people, and challenge authority, and by doing so, she became famous. To the world, 14-year-old Danielle Bregoli is a joke, and because of the way she acts, most people assume that there's nothing about her life that she would prefer to keep hidden. After all, she doesn't care what people think. Or does she? She's still an impressionable teenager, and she's still a human being, so no matter how she acts or what she says, she can only be so tough.
Danielle was 13 years old when she became famous after appearing on the Dr. Phil show. Her mother had brought her there because she was at her wit's end with Danielle's behavior. The mother-daughter duo appeared on the episode titled "I Want To Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime." It's a very descriptive title and one that proved to be accurate to the situation. While on stage, Danielle insulted people, called the audience names, and spat out the words that would make her infamous: "Catch me outside, how about that?" However, because of her accent she claimed was from "the streets," it came out more like, "Cash me ousside, how bow dah?" What she meant by that was that anyone who wanted to fight her could meet her outside. It was so over-the-top ridiculous (in an entertaining way), that the catchphrase went viral, and now, Danielle is set to have her own reality show, has starred in a music video, and is on track to make one million dollars.
A lot about Danielle's life has been revealed to the world after she became famous, and she's even been on Dr. Phil a second time since her first appearance in 2016. But there are some things that many people don't know, and Danielle would prefer to keep it that way. Tough or not, things like embarrassing moments, a painful past, and silly rumors she has no control over are some of the 19 things that Danielle Bregoli doesn't want us to know about her.
18 Pregnancy Rumors
Thank goodness these were found to be just rumors because the girl is only 14, no matter how old she wants to act. But there's a price to be paid for fame, and nasty rumors are one of them. The news of her possible pregnancy started last spring after a photo showed a "baby bump." Fans were also convinced that a little Cash Me Ousside Junior was on the way because rapper Kodak Black announced he was going to be a dad around the same time as the photo came out (Kodak Black is her celebrity crush, and she starred in his music video). But Danielle just said, "I've never hung out with Kodak Black- ever. He's 19- goddamn!" She also brushed it off by saying, "That's stupid and obviously not true. I don't know where people come up with this sh--."
17 Mom Sued for "Being a Bad Parent"
A 27-year-old Florida woman is suing Danielle's mother, claiming that bad parenting caused the teen to instruct her posse to attack her. She's suing for $15,000 in damages plus attorney's fees. Kimberly Peterson alleged that Danielle instigated a verbal argument and that this led to a physical assault. Danielle then summoned her friends to throw food and kick and punch her. Peterson says that because of this attack, she's suffered "disability, impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of the enjoyment of life, loss of the ability to earn money," and other things. She claims it was Barbara Ann's fault for not watching her daughter and for being a bad parent, in general, and accused Barbara Ann of exploiting her teen's behavior for fame and fortune. Both Danielle and Barbara Ann deny this all and have tried to get the lawsuit thrown out in court.
16 Picking Fights "Ousside" Bars
I do not know what a 14-year-old girl is doing outside of bars, but that's beside the point. She's been known to pick fights before, but this one made the news. In February of this year, the same month she got kicked off of a Spirit Airlines flight, Danielle and two of her girlfriends were in downtown Lake Worth, Florida during the annual Street Painting Festival. That night, the three of them helped to start a huge bar brawl. So, what was their role? Apparently, customers seated on the patio started taunting her with the catchphrase for which she became so infamous, and, at first, the girls played along, shouted back to them, and even tried to sell selfies for $10 each. One of the patrons questioned Danielle about her curfew, then one of Danielle's girlfriends threw ice-cream in her face. Then, a crowd reportedly chased the three teenagers down the street, while another fight with the lady they'd creamed broke out in the middle of it all.
15 The Celebrity Death Hoax
Yes, just admit it: the "Cash Me Ousside" girl is pretty much a celebrity. As sad as that is, it was proven that she is, indeed, a celeb because she's already been the victim of a celebrity death hoax. This means that rumors surfaced online that Danielle had committed suicide after being bullied because of her infamous appearance on Dr. Phil. But she took to Instagram to inform her fans that she was still alive. In a short video clip, she said, "I'm alive motherf--kers!" A website called NBC-News.net published the fake details: "After months of bullying from social media and peers at school, Danielle Ann was found dead in her room on January 23... Danielle was found unresponsive by her mother in her bedroom. She was then rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead late Monday evening." Even though this is from a fake news website, things take off on the internet, and the rumor spread.
14 She Framed Her Own Mother For Substance Use
I just cannot keep up with these two; Danielle and her mother, Barbara Ann, seem like best friends one day and worst enemies the next. And they do horrible things to each other! Well, Danielle does, at least. In 2016, before the pair went on Dr. Phil, Danielle was really giving her mother a hard time, doing things like stealing her credit cards and cash. But she did one thing that took her rebellion to a whole new level, and that was try to get her mother in trouble for drugs. She falsely reported to the police that her mother, Barbara Ann Bregoli, was using heroin. She even went as far as to spread powdered sugar on a bathroom counter to make her story more believable. She put the powder, a little baggie, and a razor blade on the counter and then called 911. That's just messed up on so many levels. Obviously, any substance would be tested and they would find out what it really was, but that could cause a lot of problems for her mother, and it was all over the news, too, which must've been embarrassing.
13 Pizza, Fidget Spinners, and House of Wax
Danielle Bregoli may be many things, but she definitely knows what she wants, and she's not afraid to make her wishes crystal clear. The entitled 14-year-old and her mother demanded certain things to make their second appearance on Dr. Phil, and Danielle has a long list of demands for her national tour. In addition to the $50,000 she'll make (assuming it's sold out), she wants $750 per day for living expenses, $3,000 for security costs, and a hotel with a minimum of four stars. Then, she added on that she wants three fidget spinners, four large Domino's pizzas, a fruit platter sans pineapple, five Gildan or Fruit of the Loom brand white tank tops, and a 50-inch TV with Netflix and a DVD player so she can watch Paris Hilton in House of Wax. Wow! I wonder how she ever lived before people started actually giving her everything she wants. But even Dr. Phil caters to her and her mother's every desire; before agreeing to their second appearance on his show in February, their demands included being put up in one of the city's finest hotels, agreeing to not contact Danielle's father, and that they wouldn't talk about certain things like hiring an agent or a lawyer. Obviously, Phil caved, although he called Barbara Ann out for it during the show because apparently, no one has ever made demands in the history of the show.
12 The Pole
Yes, we're still talking about a 14-year-old girl. It's common knowledge that rebellious teen Danielle Bregoli was giving her mom lots of trouble in recent years, which is sad because they used to be very close, judging by all of the photos of the mother-daughter duo from her childhood. In 2009, Danielle even helped nurse her mother back to health as she went through chemo! But time changes people, and she went from a sweet little girl to a teenaged hellion (hopefully, for everyone's sake, time changes her again, into a decent human being). One story her mother told was how after Danielle had stolen money from her, she used it to buy a stripper pole! When I was 14, I was all about boy bands and choir practice, so it's either times have changed or this is one crazy child. Danielle allegedly bought this stripper pole with the stolen money from her mother (who's not exactly innocent in all of this), but who knows why she wanted it? And really, who cares?
11 The Hood Rat's Rap Sheet
This could probably be expected from someone who threatened Dr. Phil's audience and called them whores. So, maybe, we should've seen Danielle's long rap sheet coming. As you can see above, she doesn't mess around when it comes to living like a hood rat. And the police were called to the Florida home she shares with her mother an astonishing 51 times in the last year! Danielle's offenses include things like automobile theft (she can't even legally drive yet!), fraud, and domestic offenses. She's run away six times and been reported missing once. This summer, she officially pleaded guilty to four charges -- two counts of grand theft, possession of marijuana, and filing a false police report. Other charges were dropped as part of her plea deal. She will not do jail time but was sentenced to five years probation.
10 She Wants $30,000-40,000 for Appearances
This girl thinks very highly of herself, as if she were an actual celebrity who had done something other than threaten Dr. Phil's audience with a catchphrase that happened to go viral. She's now expecting (and demanding) hugely ridiculous amounts of money for meet-and-greets and other events. In May, she reportedly received a paycheck of more than $40,000 for a meet-and-greet at the Rolling Loud Music Festival. The owner of the company throwing the festival also threw Danielle's 14th birthday bash in March, and she got a percentage of the sales. Danielle's reps say that this price for meet-and-greets is typical: a $30,000 minimum for domestic appearances and $40,000 for international ones. Allegedly, one bar in New York City offered Danielle $5,000, and she laughed in their face. Twitter wasn't happy with Danielle's hefty sum for appearances, and they made their thoughts known when this was revealed.
9 She Almost Got Sued For Copyright Infringement
This is interesting since she and her mother were so worried about Wal-Mart using Danielle's catchphrase that they threatened to sue them. In February of this year, she received a letter from Hanesbrands, Inc. because she was seen wearing a "Cashmeousside" sweatshirt, and it was using Champion's iconic "C." Hanesbrands, Inc. owns Champion, a successful athletic-wear company. They gave Danielle one week to stop production of her merchandise that used the Champion "C," and it seems like she obeyed. It's not like she's cared about legal ramifications for her actions in the past, so her obedience is almost surprising. However, the logo does still appear on her Instagram account, so perhaps, Hanesbrands, Inc. doesn't take issue with that.
8 Cyberbullying and Death Threats
In an ironic twist of events, Danielle has become a victim of bullying herself. The tough girl who acts like she can handle anything is known for being a bully -- she even bullied Dr. Phil! But after her catchphrase went viral, she became the victim of cyberbullying and even receives a couple of death threats a day. We already know that cyberbullies find it so easy to judge and make fun of others because they're able to hide behind a computer screen and never face their target, themselves. But it can have real-life consequences. Danielle revealed that her goal is to become a nurse one day, and that she wants to help victims of cyberbullying. So, at least in this way, she doesn't come across as such a monster, the way people usually imagine her to be. Maybe these are her goals because she knows how terrible it feels to be cyberbullied. After all, most of her antics are just silly, not really about hurting other people. And when push comes to shove, I don't care how tough a little girl wants to act; she's a little girl, and she's not immune from being hurt or embarrassed by cyberbullying and death threats. Real-life things have happened to Danielle, too, like when she got pulled out of a car by her hair and punched by a girl.
7 Mother Investigated for Child Abuse
Danielle Bregoli's mother, Barbara Ann, is being investigated for potential child abuse of her daughter. There was a video clip that surfaced showing her hitting Danielle when she was just 11 years old. She was also heard calling her a bitch. You would think that Danielle wouldn't care about this video surfacing since she and her mother aren't exactly close. But, in fact, she stood up for her mom and said that what the video showed was nothing more than a mother and daughter messing around. Whether you believe that or not, there's no denying that it's a strange way to "mess around" with your 11-year-old. Danielle further explained, "Me [sic] and my mother are not fighting on the floor. We are play fighting. My ex-best friend took it to a whole other level. It wasn't what it was at all."
6 Thrown Off of a Flight and Banned Forever
Danielle and her mother made headlines once again when they got into a fight on an airplane and ended up being kicked off of it and banned from flying with Spirit Airlines ever again. The incident took place on February 7 of this year. Barbara Ann got into a fight with another female passenger, who was complaining that she was taking too long to load her luggage into the overhead compartment. She was having trouble because she was wearing a cast on her foot. Of course, there was video footage shot by witnesses on board the aircraft, and the video shows the woman calling Barbara Ann a whore and then spitting at both her and Danielle. In the video, Barbara Ann can be seen yelling at the woman not to call her daughter trash, then, Danielle starts screaming in her face as her mother holds her back, and the woman jumps up and Barbara Ann lunges at her, grabbing her throat. Other passengers tried to break up the three fighting women, who were all banned from Spirit Airlines. Danielle said, "I only hit her one time," and she claimed it only escalated because the woman kept threatening to fight her.
5 Her Police Officer Father Wants Custody
There's always so much talk about Danielle Bregoli's mother. After all, she's the one that started this all by bringing her daughter on the Dr. Phil show. But what about her father? He's not happy about his daughter's infamy, especially her music video. He slammed her hip-hop music video and said he was "disgusted" to hear her rapping about sexual intercourse when she was just 14 years old. His name is Ira Peskowitz, and he's called this video child exploitation and even apologized to Kylie Jenner, whose likeness, getting lip and buttock injections, is used in the video. The 49-year-old sheriff's deputy has been absent for most of Danielle's life and lives with his wife and two other children in Florida. He now wants custody of Danielle and has said, "That behavior is appalling. And it's appalling that anyone can think it's acceptable behavior. She is still young. Danielle needs to be allowed to be a normal, healthy 13-year-old girl. Danielle needs to get treatment, needs to get a good education, [and needs to] get involved in physical activity." Peskowitz has also said that he thinks she's being groomed for a career in pornography the way things are going now.
4 Her Father Was Absent for Most of Her Life
Ira Peskowitz may seem like a stand-up guy now as he's slamming Danielle's reckless behavior and fighting for custody of her. He also now has a wife of 13 years and two other children and seems like a rather stable parent. But he's not been in Danielle's life since she was a toddler. According to him, it was because of parental alienation -- her mother's fault. But there are two sides to every story, and Barbara Ann's is that he didn't want to be a father, always changing his address and working too much. When she was a toddler, he began paying Barbara Ann child support in the amount of $1000 per month, and that amount was raised as Danielle got older and was in daycare, extracurricular activities, etc. He says, "Danielle feels rejected by me. That poor girl. I did not abandon her. I left her mother, but I did not abandon her. I know there is a little girl in there, and I hope, one day, she can hug me and say, 'I love you, Daddy.'"
3 Her Parents' Violent Relationship
Danielle Bregoli started experiencing her parents' volatile relationship from the time she was just four months old. According to court documents, her mother threatened to "stab and kill" her father and then hit him in the back of the head with her fist and a hanger. The very next day, Barbara Ann alleged that her boyfriend had grabbed her forcefully as she had held her four-month-old daughter and that he had threatened to kill her, her daughter, and himself." They both sought protection from one another, but the violence had taken its toll. The years went by, and Peskowitz attempted to make contact and set up visitation, threatening to sue for full custody based on false allegations, Barbara Ann's mental state, and arrest warrants. But it seems as though that never came to be -- until now, that is.
2 Oh, the Memes!
Danielle Bregoli likes to act like she's tough and untouchable, but at the end of the day, she's still a teenaged girl, and you know she cares what people think, at least on some level. And 14-year-olds are obsessed with their social media, so she has to see these ridiculous memes about her and be embarrassed at least a little. Some of them, while funny, are downright mean. Many, however, have taken the infamous photo of her face looking snotty on Dr. Phil and her catchphrase "Cash me ousside, how bow dah?" and made memes simply poking fun at those things and not her. In the end, some of the memes are quite hilarious, some are mean, some are very true in what they're saying, and some are just plain stupid. That's the internet for ya. But I'm sure Danielle would prefer that people see less of them than more (even if she'll never admit it).
1 She Faked Her Behavior to Get Out of Rehab
As we know, Dr. Phil likes to send people away to rehab -- of all different kinds. After Danielle's first appearance on his show in 2016, he recommended that the 13-year-old be sent to a top-level treatment care facility in Utah. It was called the "Turn-About Ranch," and it was there that Danielle took care of horses and even enjoyed herself. Although initially, it seemed that she was making progress toward improving her life and her attitude, overall, it didn't do the trick. Danielle spent four and a half months in treatment, but when she came on Dr. Phil for the second time in February, she was back to her sassy ways. Still, Dr. Phil said she had made improvements, and some of these were noticeable on the show, like when she even thanked him. But ultimately, Danielle is still the Danielle from the first appearance, and she proved that when she told Dr. Phil that he was "nothing" before she came on his show. She also told producers that she had faked good behavior to get out of Utah.
