The reality TV star Kim Kardashian is known for her outlandish outfits. However, while her outfits are often a little strange and flashy, more often than not she makes them work. She knows how to accentuate her curves and she knows exactly the types of clothes that will make her look amazing.

Still, Kim’s love for flashy and unusual outfits often results in epic fashion fails. Some of her outfit choices are so bizarre that we can’t help but wonder how she bothered to leave the house without even looking in a mirror.

According to Kardashian, her style has truly evolved over the years and it was her  husband, Kanye West who has inspired her to be a “bit more of an individual.”

Kim has said – “I think my style is evolving and changing, and I think it should, because that’s what life is about. He’s a fashion designer and he loves clothes, so I’m excited to collaborate with him and see what his take on fashion is.”

But it seems that not even Kanye West can keep an eye on Kim all the time. We have the proof--here are all her fashion fails that not even Kanye could save her from.

The Outfit That Made Kim Put Herself On The Worst Dressed List

There’s no disputing that the above outfit - made up of a cropped yellow jacket and a leather mini skirt - which Kim Kardashian wore a couple of years ago is absolutely awful.

We're not the only ones who think this outfit is awful. Kim put herself on the worst dressed list for this one.

In fact, the reality TV star put herself on the worst dressed list for this outfit and said – “I wanted a little color while I’m living in Miami, so my intentions were good, but the cut isn’t for me! You definitely need to be taller and thinner to pull this jacket style off! The mirror was lying to me this day! Where were my sisters or my boyfriend when I needed a good opinion?!”

The Outfit That Made Her Look Clunky

The above outfit – a black cropped turtleneck and high-waisted animal print trousers - is not exactly horrific, and may actually look good on someone else. The problem is, it is not really suited for Kim Kardashian and her figure. All it does is make her look extremely clunky.

While Kardashian has been able to pull off skin-tight and slightly weird outfits before, this time she has definitely failed. Plus, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day when she wore the outfit, making the outfit even worse – no one can pull off a black, sheer outfit on a sunny day.

Is It A Flower? Is It A Ball Of Yarn?

This outfit confuses us. It would actually be nice if it wasn’t for that strange white thing sitting on top of Kim Kardashian’s dress.

What is it, exactly? A flower? A ball of yarn? We don’t know what it is, but we do know that Kim should have yanked it off before she left the house.

Otherwise, the outfit is perfect – Kim’s makeup is on point, her hair looks amazing (who else thinks that she should wear her hair slicked back more often?), the dress is classy and elegant (minus the white decorative thing) and the shoes and the clutch are fantastic.

Latex Pants Fail

A couple of years ago the internet went mad when photos of Kim Kardashian wearing a peach fur jacket and pewter latex leggings in Paris went viral. While the reality TV star has a talent for making even the weirdest clothes combinations work, she was sadly not successful this time.

While there’s no denying that the above ensemble had potential, the pants were much too tight on Kim, and thus turned the otherwise fashion-forward outfit into a fashion disaster.

As you can imagine, the flashy outfit and the tight leggings garnered quite a lot of attention on the streets of Paris.

Peplum Top And Leather Pants

The above outfit – a peplum top adorned with fringe and black leather leggings – is another one of Kim Kardashian’s outfits that make the “what was she thinking?!” list.

While the outfit is certainly not as bad as some of the other ensembles she has worn over the years, we do wonder what Kim was thinking when she decided to wear the peplum top.

It certainly makes Kim look chubbier than she is in reality, and far from being fashionable and cool the fringe just looks... sad. Kim has confessed that she does have fashion regrets and we’re sure this look is one of them.

The Outfit That Makes Kim Look Like Mrs Doubtfire

Remember the floral print dress that Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Ball in 2013 when she was pregnant? We’re sure you do, as the outfit is considered to be one of the worst outfits ever worn by Kim.

The dress was created by the Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci which goes to show that designers don’t always get it right either.

Kim received tons of negative comments for the outfit. Some said the outfit was much too gaudy for the Met Ball, others compared the dress to a set of curtains. Others commented on the similarity between Kim and Mrs Doubtfire.

Baby Pink Outfit Full Of Holes

Kim certainly likes to surprise her fans (and haters) with her unusual choice of clothes. Take the rather strange, baby pink two-piece ensemble she wore during the Paris Fashion Week in 2014. The outfit was full of holes and looked interesting, to say the least.

One person who witnessed Kim in the hideous outfit later said –

“When Kim wore that weird two piece with holes in it, I genuinely thought she'd lost the plot. Who cares if Chanel designed it – it was hideous.”

Once again, maybe this just proves that celebrities should not always trust designers. Apparently they don't always know what they're doing.

Latex Dress That Creased In All The Wrong Places

Kim Kardashian obviously loves tight-fitting clothes. If you have been following her style evolution, you probably know that she also loves latex.

So we weren’t really surprised when she wore a pink latex dress to promote her perfume in Australia. While we were not surprised, that is not to say we were not horrified at her choice of clothes.

The latex bodycon dress clung tightly to her curves but far from accentuating her body shape, it actually made her look terrible. The dress creased in all the wrong places. We’re not so sure that salmon pink is the right color for Kim.

Billowing Pink Dress That Made Kim Look Like A Balloon

Kim wore the above outfit when she was pregnant so we won’t be too harsh here. For once, she decided against tight-fitting clothes and opted for a looser fit, no doubt surprising many fans (and haters) in the process.

However, while we often criticize Kim for her tight-fitting clothes that doesn’t mean that baggy ensembles make her look any better.

Unfortunately for Kim, the day she decided to wear the above outfit proved to be extremely windy. The gusts of wind resulted in her dress billowing out like a balloon thus making Kim appear chubbier than she actually was.

Monochrome Fail

When most women are pregnant they opt for comfort clothes, loose fits and soft textures. Not Kim Kardashian. Known for her glamorous and sexy outfits (most of the time) Kim had no intention of letting pregnancy stand in the way of making a fashion statement.

And while she was successful most of the time, she could not escape making a few fashion mistakes on the way. Take the above monochrome outfit for example. It certainly did not look good on her.

One of Kim’s fans said – “Kim Kardashian does look glamorous a lot of the time, but when she was pregnant she really had no idea. When I was having a baby, I just stuck to comfy clothes that were loosely fit. She still tried to wear skintight clothes and shoes that made her look massive and must have been so uncomfortable.”

Yellow On Yellow On Yellow

The reality TV star Kim Kardashian rocks yellow and she knows it. That is why she wears so many yellow outfits, but sometimes she truly goes overboard. Take the above outfit for example – gold satin dress, yellow coat and gold shoes – which she wore on the red carpet. She looks absolutely ridiculous and yet it doesn’t even seem like she knows it.

While Kim certainly stood out on the red carpet we’re not so sure that she should try and replicate the look ever again. In fact, some have dubbed it the “golden nugget” outfit and we couldn’t agree more.

Sports Clothes Underneath A Silk Dress

Who said you can’t wear elegant dresses with sports clothes underneath them? While your good sense may tell you that that type of ensemble would look ridiculous, not everyone listens to their good sense.

Take Kim Kardashian for example. In 2016 she wore a zip-up sports jacket underneath a black satin dress. Apparently, Kim was inspired by her daughter North West -

"I love to dress North in slip dresses and layer T-shirts underneath, so I figured I would copy her '90s vibe for my latest street-style look.”

Kim completed her look by adding a pair of heels and a furry cardigan. While the look was certainly interesting we’re not so sure that Kim should seek fashion inspiration from her daughter ever again.

Adidas Tracksuit Bottoms And A Lace Top

Kim Kardashian is known for her crazy outfit ensembles, and the above outfit certainly makes the “what was she thinking” list.

Kim sported the above outfit – Adidas popper tracksuit bottoms, lace top, fishnet stockings, heels and a choker - in 2016. As you can imagine, her strange outfit surprised quite a few people and turned quite a few heads.

Kim was seen wearing the above outfit when she was leaving the Givenchy office in Paris with her sister Kourtney and husband Kanye West in tow. Surely Kourtney and Kanye West could have told Kim that the look she was sporting was hideous?

Squashed Toes Is Not A Good Look

We certainly admire Kim Kardashian for all the effort she put into her appearance when she was pregnant. After all, most women would just opt for comfy, loose fitting clothes and leave it at that. Not Kim. She continued to wear tight-fitting clothes, heels, and spent hours doing her hair and makeup.

However, while it is true that Kim looked amazing most of the time during her pregnancy, she sometimes took things too far. Take a look at her outfit above, and particularly at her swollen ankles. In our opinion, if you can’t fit into the shoes you want to wear just don’t wear them at all.

Large Pattern Fail

The above patterned dress that Kim Kardashian wore out in town has also resulted in many negative comments, and you can probably see why. While small patterns are visually appealing, large patterns are often extremely unflattering, as illustrated above.

Kim has once said – “I look back at photos and I want to cringe when I matched, like, turquoise eye shadow with turquoise sweater with turquoise flowers in my hair. Like, I was so bizarre. If I could go back [in time] I'd just be classic. That's why I try to dress my daughter classic so she can look back at her baby pictures when she's older and know that she was dressed so simple and cute." We think she should stick to her advice more often.
