15 Stupid Comments We Can't Believe These Celebs Actually Said

Everyone has several moments in your life (heck, maybe even your day!) where you've said something incredibly stupid.

Sometimes you might not realize what you've said and you had to be informed by others about your gaff. Other times you might realize right away that what you've said isn't the best, but that doesn't mean you can cram those words back in your mouth. And sometimes if you're really lucky, you'll be able to keep that stupid or embarrassing moment to yourself!

Celebrities are no exception to this. Except when they screw up and say something stupid, the entire world is going to take notice. Some of the celebrities on our list were not only stupid, they were downright offensive. Such as Amanda Bynes who blamed Rihanna being beaten on her not being pretty enough.

Though a large majority will also leave you laughing (if not amazed that they're real) like Snookie who was unable to understand how time works, Jessica Simpsons' infamous tuna screw-up and Charlie Sheen's rants!

These are 15 Stupid Comments We Can't Believe Celebrities Actually Said.

15 Paris Hilton's Delusions About Having A Tough Life

Paris Hilton has definitely had some moments in her life that must have been difficult to live through. But she has also obviously been gifted many luxuries that some of us could only dream of. Which may make it all the more stunning that in a past interview, Hilton literally said

"Everything bad that can happen to a person has happened to me."

Perhaps I have an issue with my memory but I don't seem to remember when Paris Hilton was homeless? I'm also sure there are plenty of people who are reading this list who would also be more than happy to trade some of their life problems with Paris.

14 Naya Rivera Makes An Oddly Racist Comment On Showering

There are some celebrities who have made a name for themselves for having less than stellar hygiene. While we don't know how much Naya Rivera showers, we do know she has some oddly racist views on the matter

"I have to say I have a theory about showering, [which] is that I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics. I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."

Rivera did not go on to explain as to where this theory could have possibly come from. Let's just hope her co-stars from when she was on Glee all had proper hygiene!

13 Jaden Smith Promotes Dropping Out Of School

There are plenty of celebrities who know the value of a great education. But that isn't a view that is apparently shared by everyone. When talking about his thoughts on school, Jaden Smith stated

"If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society."

We're not too sure what his line of thinking was, but it definitely wasn't the most intelligent thing in the world. Though we suppose it isn't a surprise that education is less important in the success of the life of Jaden when you consider he's the son of Will - something we're sure has helped open plenty of doors.

12 Britney Spears Says She Doesn't Want To Go To Japan In Africa

Britney Spears has spent over a decade in the spotlight as one of the biggest musicians in the industry. Her fame has understandably taken her to places all over the world to perform. But clearly, she must be too busy rehearsing and not enough time looking at a globe. Because along with the top half of this next quote being idiotic, she tops it off with a hideous lesson in geography

"I've never really wanted to go to Japan. Simply because I don't like eating fish. And I know that's very popular out there in Africa."

What the what?! With all of her income, you would have hoped that Spears would have spent some of that money on a map.

11 Jessica Simpson's Chicken vs. Tuna Incident

Back in 2003, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey were the hottest couple in Hollywood. Their reality shows Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica had plenty of forgettable moments, but even years later people are quick to remember Simpsons' infamous Tuna gaff.

Unaware that "Chicken By The Sea" is a brand of tuna (which she was eating), Simpson asked Lachey

"Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish? I know it's tuna, but it says 'Chicken of the Sea...is that stupid?'"

Sorry Jessica, to be putting tuna in your mouth and even kind of question on if it was chicken remains one of the dumbest moments in reality TV history.

10 Snookie Doesn't Understand Time

The people on Jersey Shore didn't exactly make a name for themselves by being the most intelligent group of people on television. But only Snookie has the distinction of earning a spot on our list. Though when you read her quote, you'll understand how there's no way we could have left it off

“I’m not good with time. Like, if I ask you the time and you say ‘A quarter to 2’ I wouldn’t know. Why can’t you just say 2:30?”

At least we know she isn't lying when she said she sucks at telling time. Though honesty doesn't mean you're going to be left thinking she is the most intelligent person!

9 Mariah Carey Explains Why She's Jealous Of Poor Starving Children

There are countless celebrities who have done a tremendous job at helping make the world a better place. Mariah Carey definitely has the means to help in those efforts. And when you start to read her next quote you might be struck by how empathetic she sounds in the first half.

But then she keeps talking and it all goes to sh*t.

"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that but not with all those flies and death and stuff."

We're sure Carey will choose her words very carefully in the future when talking about people around the world who are in need of help.

8 Sienna Miller Has The Cure To Health-Related Smoking Issues

We're going to be glad to state that Sienna Miller has recently stated in an interview that she is smoking significantly less than she used to. As well as saying that it is no longer a big part of her. But in the past, she was definitely a heavy smoker. Don't worry about the health risks though, Miller had that covered with the power of positivity!

"I love cigarettes. Love them. I think the more positive approach you have to smoking, the less harmful it is."

Sorry, Miller we don't think it exactly works like that! Though for the sake of her daughter who was born in 2012, we hope she was able to avoid the potential health ramifications.

7 Kanye West Is Anti-Thinking

Kanye West is considered by many to be a musical genius. It's evident when listening to his music that even if you are not a fan, that he definitely puts a significant amount of time and thought into the work he produces. But perhaps music is the only thing that West likes to ponder, as in a past interview he revealed

"I actually don't like thinking. I think people think I like to think a lot. And I don't. I do not like to think at all."

Something tells us you might also think that this was far from the most intelligent thing to come out of the mouth of a celebrity!

6 Charlie Sheen's Tiger Blood Comments

Let's be honest, there is no shortage of moments in Charlie Sheen's life that must have left you scratching your head. Following his high-profile exit from Two And A Half Men Sheen engaged in a series of bizarre interviews. The most infamous perhaps being when he stated,

"I've got a different brain. I've got a different heart. I've got tiger blood, man."

Perhaps the different brain would help explain some of his actions! That and y'know, the copious amounts of drugs and partying that he engaged in. Something he also talked about saying,

"I was banging seven-gram rocks because that’s how I roll. I have one speed, I have one gear: Go."

5 Shailene Woodley Bashes TV At The Emmys

You can imagine that anyone who is attending the Emmys is going to be a fan of television. But that wasn't the case for actress Shailene Woodley, who when asked if she watches TV responded

"I'm a reader. So I always read, so I always read a book instead of turning on my TV."

If we're being completely upfront, Shailene Woodley probably wasn't trying to come off as anything but upfront and honest. And there's nothing stupid about reading. But the avenue was not the best for that comment, especially considering her show (Big Little Lies) was nominated for several awards! Though we do have to thank her because this incident did remind us of when Joey said he doesn't watch soap operas on Friends.

4 Amanda Bynes Blames Rihanna's Assault On Her Being Ugly

One of the most upsetting things to read about in Hollywood is when someone comes out and says they have been in an abusive relationship. It can be even more difficult if photos also emerge that show the extent of the abuse. Many people rushed to show support for Rihanna after photos became public of her face after it was abused by Chris Brown.

Amanda Bynes took a different, and much more insensitive, approach saying

"Chris Brown beat you because you're not pretty enough."

Bynes has recently re-emerged in Hollywood after taking a leave of absence for her mental health. Hopefully this time she is going to be able to avoid saying offensive things like this again!

3 Sophie Monk Didn't Know Who The Beatles Were

Sophie Monk has found success in a variety of avenues. She started her career in the world of music but is also an accomplished model and actress.

But despite her musical background, you may be surprised that when asked if she felt her music was influenced by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, that she responded

"I don't know. I don't know who they are."

We suppose the flipside is that she did get the benefit of getting to experience one of the greatest and most influential bands (not to mention individual artists) for the first time! It doesn't make her comment all the less shocking to read though.

2 TI's Stance On A Potential Female President

T.I. is one of the most influential and recognizable rappers of the 2000s. But just because you love his music, doesn't mean you love who he is as a person. Especially when you read his stance on the potential of having a woman president

"Not to be sexist, but I can't vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. ... Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. Every other position. But president? It's kind of like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally....The world ain't ready yet. ... I think you might be able to get the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman elected president]."

1 Charles Barkley Explains 3 Things Women Are Good For

There are plenty of comments on this list that are just mind-numbingly dumb that you can't believe people - much less respected celebrities have said. The next one may not be as much "stupid" as it was just downright offensive.

When talking about women, famed NBA star Charles Barkley stated

"Listening to a woman is almost as bad as losing to one. There are only three things that women are better at than men: cleaning, cooking, and having s*x"

Something tells us that definitely must have lost him some of his supporters. Not to mention pissed off plenty of women. We're sure sending Barkley hate mail is another thing that Barkley might soon think women are better at then men.
