Breastfeeding with implants has been a source of controversy ever since the procedure was first invented. With so many women getting breast implants these days, it's something that's bound to come up again and again. And since celebrity females are a group of people who seem to love getting their breasts enhanced, we often hear about their breastfeeding stories firsthand. Many people react with disgust at this news, or are concerned at the safety of their baby. What if the implant ruptures or leaks? Is there a possibility of the baby ingesting silicone or other "foreign material?" The truth is that there is in fact a small possibility of that happening, but the chances are so slim that most doctors will give the green light for women with implants to go ahead and breastfeed their children normally.

That doesn't stop a lot of people talking about it though. Sometimes it's the media or regular people that draw attention to it. Sometimes it's the women themselves. They often come out in interviews and readily admit what they're going through, so that other women know what it's like to breastfeed with implants. In some ways this is reassuring to women who have breast implants or are considering getting them, but other celebrities have a darker story to tell - one that reveals the cons of getting implants, especially in the context of breastfeeding. In these cases, it may make women think twice before getting their assets enhanced.

Kendra Wilkinson

Kendra Baskett, formerly known as Kendra Wilkinson, was a Playboy model once upon a time, and still bears those gigantic implants from her days posing on the pages of the men's magazines. Since then, she's settled down with NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett, and predictably the two decided they wanted children. However she sparked a debate on the Internet and in the medical community when she posed the question of whether or not she would still be able to breastfeed with her sizeable implants. The general consensus was yes. In most cases you can, and many other women who had been able to breastfeed with implants came out and sent a message to Kendra that it was indeed possible.

She admitted in an interview that "I was so scared that I wasn't going to be able to nurse that when I saw stuff come out of my nipples the other day, I was like, I can breastfeed? And I asked my doctor, who said, 'That's fine, but it's not milk yet!'" Looks like Kendra did just fine in getting what she needed out of those giant boobs.

JWoww

JWoww, also known as Jenni Farley is famous for a lot of things, but her enormous breast implants are pretty important to her claim to fame. She's been getting boob jobs throughout her career as a reality TV personality, and she's unique in that she got her breasts done before and after she had her child. But JWoww had no problems breastfeeding, it would seem, as she talked at length about the effect breastfeeding had on her enhanced breasts:

"I kept them the same size, so they are still Fs. I just switched them out from breastfeeding!" She later admitted that she wanted to use the opportunity of not being pregnant to go ahead and get another boob job, before she got herself pregnant with a second child: "YES, I said it! I want another baby, and that's why I wanted to get them done now before we try again and before our wedding, too." Looks like her babies are going to grow up feeding on silicone-inflated boobs. And they're not alone.

Kourtney Kardashian

One woman that most certainly breastfed while she had implants was Kourtney Kardashian. Kourtney has never been shy about sharing her history with cosmetic procedures, and she actually laughs about the fact that everyone knows she got her boobs done. And she also made no secret about the fact that she was going to breastfeed after she had her child. She actually talked about her discussion with her doctor:

"I actually went to my doctor today and asked him about it, and he said you usually can. You just need to try it because you won't know until you try. They say usually you can [breast-feed with implants]. I want to." She was also spotted breastfeeding on a few occasions, confirming that a little silicone wasn't going to stop her from giving her child milk straight from the source.

She later admitted that she regretted getting implants, saying: "I had my boobs done but if I could go back, I wouldn't have done it. I was so cute before. I've realized that I was made to look a certain way and I'm considering removing them."

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is another mother that managed to breastfeed, even with her alleged implants. Before the pop singer supposedly had her implants put in, she was decidedly flat-chested. But the marvels of modern medicine were able to fix her little problem, and suddenly her sex appeal went through the roof. She probably wasn't thinking about having kids and breastfeeding at that point in time. It might have been something that could have stopped her from breastfeeding, but luckily it didn't interfere and she went on with being a normal mother.

Speaking about her experiences with breastfeeding, the star said: "I'm like totally lopsided right now, because he only wanted to have one little bit." She later said in an acceptance speech, "Janel Moloney just told me she would pay me $1,000 if I thanked my newborn son for making my boobs look so good in this dress." Note that Gwen Stefani has never actually admitted to getting her breasts enlarged, so it's just speculation at this point. But look at before and after photos and it's pretty clear they've changed a lot.

Amy Childs

One woman who didn't have the greatest time breastfeeding with her implants was Amy Childs. She's a reality TV star who first got her breasts done when she was just 18. She later had a second procedure done a few years later, inflating them to a whopping 30EE. She admitted she was having trouble breastfeeding as a result of her implants, saying:

“I really struggled with breastfeeding last week – she just wouldn’t latch on at all. She was on my boob for 90 minutes the other day and screaming as she couldn’t get anything. My midwife said she wouldn’t recommend someone with implants feeding as you don’t know what the baby is getting – she said the implant could leak. But I had a consultation early in my pregnancy and they said it was fine. I do feel like I get told different things from different people, so I just have to go with what I think is right for Polly.” It must have been heartbreaking for her to try and breastfeed with no luck, and to suspect it might be a result of the implants...

Blac Chyna

Blac Chyna is one female celebrity who quite obviously has breast implants, and when it came time for her to breastfeed, it was a source of concern. That didn't stop Blac Chyna from trying, and she reportedly was adamant that her baby, Dream, get her milk straight from the source. She even posted quite revealing pictures of herself breastfeeding her newborn child, showing the world just how beautiful that can be. But a lot of people on social media reacted negatively to this, saying things like "You can't feed a baby silicone," and other mean comments.

Regardless, Blac Chyna was determined to breastfeed her child, as unconfirmed sources close to the new mother revealed:“The midwives have suggested she sticks to formula now a few days have passed, but Blac’s stubborn. She insists her daughter must have mommy’s milk, even if it means she’s in agony. It’s absolute agony and Dream can’t get a good feed unless she spends twice the average time [on breastfeeding duty.]”

Coco Austin

Coco Austin is another famous celebrity mother who tried her hand at breastfeeding her child, even with her considerable breast implants. This proved to be a little bit of a hurdle. She revealed: “I’m kind of obsessed with [breastfeeding],” she says. “[Chanel] is 6 months now, but for a good five months, she was great at breastfeeding. Just recently she got a little congested and, since then, it was hard for her to drink from my boob so I had to force the bottle in her mouth. Now that it’s cleared up, she wants the bottle more, and it hurt my feelings … I’m doing whatever I can because now, she’s growing, so she needs more milk … so I have to go from breastfeeding to formula, breastfeeding to formula, but I wish she would want a little more of me.”

Speaking directly and honestly about her breast implants, she revealed: “I got breast implants, so I wasn’t sure if I could even breastfeed … I was hoping I’d be one of those women who can because my whole family have been really pro-breastfeeding."

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland is another female celebrity who tried her hand at breastfeeding with implants. For the most part, she was successful, although she admitted later in her book, Woah, Baby, that the breastfeeding took a huge toll on the appearance of her breasts. So much so, in fact, that she is considering getting a second surgery on her breasts, to fix what breastfeeding did to them. Kelly Rowland first got her boobs done in 2007, long before she had her first child. Speaking about her experience breastfeeding with implants, she revealed in her book: "All that gnawing at your nipples will take its toll. In those early days, I was fascinated (my polite way of saying ‘horrified') by the transformation of the breasts. My nipples were huge - we are talking the size of Frisbees - and sometimes I could see these veins bulging out while I was nursing. My breast themselves were so long and stretchy that I sometimes felt like I could've swung them over my shoulders. I can't speak for everyone, but I know I'm going to see someone (wink, wink) after I have my second kid. In the meantime, I just tried to enjoy my ability to feed my baby!"

Oksana Grigorieva

Oksana Grigorieva is another woman who definitely breastfed while she was pregnant. This was made clear when audio files were leaked that contained arguments between her and her ex-husband, Mel Gibson, who accused her of breastfeeding while she had implants, an accusation which Oksana makes no effort to deny:

“You’re trying to breastfeed with f****** foreign bodies in you," Gibson can be heard saying. When Grigorieva tries to defend herself, he continues, "Oh, it had nothing to do with what? The fact that you had foreign bodies in there? OK. Good. So you’re not lying to me about fake t***." Then his then wife denied lying to him about having breast implants, to which he replied: "Yes. Yes you did. You said they weren’t. You f****** lied to me. Not a lie. Who cares? They look ridiculous. Get rid of them why don’t you. It is, it is. They look stupid. I’m just telling you — just an appraisal ... Keep ‘em if you want. Look stupid, see if I give a f***. You know, but they’re too big and they look stupid. They look like some Vegas b****, they look like a Vegas w**** and you go around sashaying around in your tight clothes and stuff. I won’t stand for that anymore.”

Perhaps the most famous outburst from Mel Gibson was this rant about her implants and her choice of outfits: “You go out in public and it’s a f****** embarrassment to me! You look like a f****** b**** on (ecstasy). And if you get raped by a pack of n*****s it’ll be your fault. All right? Because you provoked it. You are provocatively dressed all the time with your fake boobs you feel, you have to show off in tight outfits and tight pants that let me see your p**** from behind." Yikes.

Jenelle Evans

Jenelle Evans is another female celebrity that went ahead and breastfed her child even with her enormous breast implants. This reality TV star is famous for being a mom at a very young age, something that was explored thoroughly in the reality TV show Teen Mom 2. It's pretty obvious that this star has breast implants, but it seemed like despite their incredible size, they didn't pose too much of a problem for the young mother, and she easily overcame that small hurdle.

She made it clear that she was going to try and breastfeed even while she was still pregnant, as she replied to a question about whether she would breastfeed on her social media account, saying: "Yes I am going to breast feed! I can with implants! That blows my mind lol only if they r under the muscle." Responding to criticism, the expectant mother later posted the comment: "Idc if u guys think I’m 10 weeks or 20 weeks… That’s none of yr business and shouldn’t even concern yu. Nice try stirring drama again."

Melissa Gilbert

Melissa Gilbert is a name many of you might recognize, at least those of you who watched Little House On The Prairie as a youngster. Even at a young age, the people on the set of the show made her wear a padded bra, which made her feel like she didn't have big enough boobs. Later, after she breastfed her second child, her boobs were completely ravaged, as she revealed: "My husband at the time, referred to my boobs as ... and I quote ... ‘Socks full of marbles with knots at the top. I took his words to heart. After that I rarely went bra-less. That includes while sleeping, making love etc."

When she had her second child, she had surgically enhanced her breasts, and she revealed that when she was breastfeeding her child, her boobs were colossal: "My boobs? ... well ...they were enormous," she admits. "At their peak, they were a double E! specifically 34EE!!"

Nowadays, she's actually come full circle and has made the decision to get her breasts reduced in size. "A. I am concerned for my health and 2. I don't like the way they look or feel," she explains. "Frankly, I'd like to be able to take a Zumba class without the fear that I'll end up with two black eyes."

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling is another celebrity that breastfed while she had implants, although for her it didn't go as smoothly as it did for others. You may remember this star from her appearance as Donna in the hit television series, Beverly Hills, 90210. She's also appeared in a string of other movies and television shows. But nowadays she's more focused on being a mom. And that means taking a long hard look at some of the decisions she made when she was younger - such as getting a boob job in her early 20s. As it turns out, Tori Spelling actually readily admitted that she regretted getting her breasts surgically enhanced, because she's worrying about the impact it might have on breastfeeding and being a mother to her children: "Well I got my boobs done ... in my early 20s. If I had known that it would or could possibly impact production of [breast] milk, I wouldn't have had them.  I love being a mom. I'm on my third baby. We want to have more. Like, that's my role. These [big breasts] don't matter."

Brooke Burke-Charvet

Brooke Burke Charvet is another celebrity mom who managed to breastfeed while she still had implants in those breasts of hers. When asked about her experience with breastfeeding while having implants, she revealed her take on the whole matter: "Having breast implants didn’t affect my breastfeeding experience at all. [Breastfeeding] is such a personal and individual journey for every woman. I had no problems whatsoever — I breastfed some of my children and didn’t with some of my other children. I think as a woman you either make milk or you don’t make milk, but it wasn’t related at all to breast augmentation."

She went on to reveal: "I think most importantly, whatever your body decides to do at that time, that you don’t have a lot of guilt related toward that. I was a very busy mom, I was a working mom, and I worked really hard with my third child and breastfed for about 8 months but with some of my other children I wasn’t as successful for just, I think, life reasons. I really tried to let myself feel OK about that. Nowadays it can be very controversial, but they’re all very healthy kids."

Masika

Masika Kalysha is a reality TV star and model made famous by her appearance in Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. She, too, has been able to breastfeed with her incredible implants, and she made no qualms about showing the world that it was indeed possible with a very revealing post on social media. She's appeared in many rappers' music videos, and that child she's breastfeeding is from her relationship with well-known rapper Fetty Wap. She actually revealed in an interview that she was going in to get her preexisting breast enhancements redone when she found out she was pregnant: “So the craziest thing is my self-centered ass was at the doctor getting my pre-op appointment, I was getting my boobs redone because it’s just a f—n’ mess under here…And he said okay, everything looks great, your blood-work came back perfect, but the pregnancy test came back indiscriminate."

Can you think of a crazier way to find out you're pregnant? Looks like she didn't have any trouble getting her baby to feed from those enhanced goodies.

Katie Price

Katie Price is another female celebrity who has probably breastfed with her implants in. Or at least tried to some extent. This may seem surprising to many of you who know Katie Price, because she's made some pretty controversial statements about breastfeeding in the past. She apparently doesn't breastfeed anymore, and she is a firm supporter of formula over breast milk. But my personal suspicion is that she's tried breastfeeding and doesn't like it. Why else would she be so adamantly against breastfeeding? Or maybe her implants are stopping her from breastfeeding. Either way, you don't know whether it's possible until you try, and Katie Price has most certainly tried. But her views on baby formula aren't the only thing she's said about breastfeeding that have been deemed controversial. Speaking about her views about public breastfeeding, she revealed, "I don't agree with people putting up pictures of them breastfeeding. I don't want to see that, like people probably won't want to see me my selfies, my boobs and this and that.[But] if it's proper out then you can't help looking. I know it's a natural thing but I don't want to eat my dinner seeing a woman's boob out."
