15 Foxy Photos Of Emmy Rossum We Can't Get Enough Of

Emmy Rossum is not just beautiful; she’s insanely talent as well. She came onto the Hollywood scene in 2003, breaking into big budget films such as Mystic River with Sean Penn and The Day After Tomorrow with Jake Gyllenhaal. She made an impact in those movies that set up her career in the industry. She continued making a few more big-budget films such as Phantom of the Opera in which she received critical acclaim for and the disaster film Poseidon.

She became part of the Beautiful Creatures cast in 2013 and even appeared in a Jay-Z video with Beyoncé, Part II - On the Run in 2014. These days, she is back on TV, on the popular show Shameless. She has been on the show for a whopping 7 years now. She’s made a name for herself in both TV and movies, and she seems to be going strong in the industry. She has two movies slated for 2018, so it sounds like she’s going to have a big year. We love the fact that there are brains behind this beauty. She’s not just another pretty face; she has class, elegance, wits, and a unique look about her. Maybe that’s why she played the role of a teenage Audrey Hepburn in The Audrey Hepburn Story. It doesn’t seem to matter what role she plays; she always knocks it out of the park. We found some stunning photos of the actress that we know you are going to love.

15 Staying Clear Of Tabloids

You won't usually find Rossum in tabloid magazines involved in Hollywood scandals. She is full of class and won’t allow her private life to become public. She will let you in on one little secret though — “I can put my legs behind my head and sing 'Happy Birthday.' Because that's something that me and my friends used to do when we were in gymnastics class as kids, and I can still do it. I was doing it since I was 8 and 9. They used to call me Gumby. Very bendy.”

14 Role Model

Rossum believes in being yourself and she states that right in the title of her album. “Being yourself is one of the hardest things because it's scary. You always wonder whether you'll be accepted for who you really are. I decided to call my record 'Inside Out' because that's my motto about life. I don't think you ever succeed at trying to be anyone else but who you truly are.” She sounds like a great role model for women everywhere, young and old.

13 Much-Needed Day Off

Like most of us, Rossum likes her days off and sometimes, all she wants to do is stay home where she can get cozy and relax. “It's the best feeling when you wake up and it's warm and cozy, and you don't have to go to work.” We couldn’t agree more; there is nothing better than a day off where you can just chill out.

12 Comfortable In Her Own Skin

There is just something urethral about Emmy Rossum, like she could be a fairy or something. Maybe that was why she was cast in Beautiful Creatures. Rossum is a class act all around, though while growing up, she had a hard time fitting in or being comfortable in her own skin. “When I was in school, I got there on the first day and everyone had long, blonde, straight hair, and I had short, dark, curly hair. I immediately felt I didn't fit in and started growing my hair. But I've learned that I'm only happy when I am truly me and feel comfortable and confident in myself.” It’s probably something that all young women struggle with.

11 A Woman Of Many Talents

Rossum truly is the complete package. She has come into her own and became comfortable in her own skin, especially when it comes to her music. “Too many times you come across lyrics that sound like you've heard them before or you can't really relate to them. And I think that I write songs that sound fresh and sensual in kind of a layered, lush way. But I also think that they are real, and that's why I wanted to call the record 'Inside Out.'” She’s an amazing talent and if you haven’t checked out her music yet, then you absolutely must.

10 Striking Face, Striking Voice

Singing has always been a passion of hers, and Rossum was lucky enough to spend five years on the opera stage singing with greats such as Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti — talk about an honor. When it comes to her career, she only takes the jobs that she loves and that’s truly admirable because not everyone can do that. “I've learned to take jobs as an actress that is meaningful to me because I've never taken a job for the money.”

9 For The Love Of Music

Aside from the fact that she's an opera singer, but Rossum can also sing in 6 different languages! Surprisingly, when she was singing for New York’s Metropolitan Opera, she was only paid $5 a night, which was less than the horse on set! She just did it because she loved being part of that experience. Some of her most famous operas are La Bohème, TurandotLa damnation de Faust, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

8 Growing Up In The Spotlight

We love the fact that this talented actress stays out of the spotlight as much as possible. You never hear scandals about Rossum, even when she was younger. You never once heard about her partying in a club or driving home drunk. When Rossum was a child, she was always in costumes, but by 12, she had grown out of all the costumes that she wore. That was where the acting bug came into play, the fact that she liked to be different characters. She started taking classes with Flo Salant Greenberg of The New Actors Workshop in New York City. The rest, we suppose, is history.

7 Finding Inspiration

Rossum finds inspiration for her music in many different places and the people that inspire her are very different as well. “I'd say that my musical influences are anywhere from pop-rock, electronica, new age, and classical. But I think that specifically, bands, I love Jem, I love Sigur Ross, I love David Gray, I love Elliot Smith — a lot of different people. But I don't find lyrical inspiration from anybody.”

6 Does What She Has To For A Role

Rossum isn’t one to shy away from nudity if it makes a role more realistic. If you are a fan of her TV show Shameless, then you know what we're talking about. She defends the fact that her character is nude a lot because it makes sense for the role that she plays. Sometimes, certain roles do call for it, and it isn’t a decision that should ever be taken lightly.

5 True Colours

Could this girl be any happier with her life? Rossum recognizes that her voice in the music industry is different, but she’s not going to apologize for it either. She has a true voice and she states that there are many legends in the industry that had a different tune to their voice as well. “People who take risks like Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones take a second to catch on, but eventually they do because they're different and honest in a musical landscape that's not always like that.” Rossum is true to who she is and doesn't apologize for being different.

4 Daring Diva

Well, she may not be a diva, but she’s certainly daring in her life. She takes chances and really puts herself out there, and so far, it's really paid off. Rossum has no intention of taking on a project that is below what she wants for herself. “If I can't find a project that I'm really interested in, I'll just go back to college where I've been studying art history and French. I'm also going to study English and philosophy — the whole curriculum!” We love a girl who cares about her education.

3 Sane In An Insane World

How can you not love this stunning shot? There may be a reason why this stunning girl is so cool and that’s because she doesn’t surround herself with just the Hollywood types. “I try to keep myself as sane and as grounded as possible by surrounding myself with normal people, such as all the friends that I've had from when I was little.” That’s the best way to stay normal in an industry that is anything but.

2 Organized Chaos

Rossum definitely has a method to her madness when it comes to writing music. “I never walk into the studio and say, 'I'm going to write a song called "X" or called "Slow Me Down."' I write a ton of lyrics, often the title is somewhere in those 10 pages of what I call brain vomit. It's kind of like whatever comes out of my head and I'm unabashedly just writing it down.”

1 Different From The Rest

Rossum doesn’t apologize for the decisions that she makes in her life because they come from an honorable place. Even her photos and TV scenes that are a little steamy are tasteful and different that what other female stars are doing. “I hope that I'm s*xy in a different kind of way than I think that a lot of girls are right now. I think a lot of girls in the public eye, especially musical artists, are just kind of objectified a little bit and wearing super-skimpy outfits and leaving nothing to the imagination.”
