Hollywood may seem glamorous from the outside, but when you pull back the curtain you will be horrified at what you find on the inside. Below we have 15 of the biggest scandals to ever rock the entertainment world. Assault (on both adults and minors) and private "intimate" photos (or videos!) being leaked are just some of the situations which we cover in depth below.

Then, of course, you have some celebrities that Hollywood would either want you to forget about or ignore their biggest transgressions. But then again, how do you just forget that Bill Cosby may have raped over 50 women? Or the photos that emerged of adult performer Christy Mack or Rihanna after their partner decided to try and cave in their face? Speaking of adult performers, we also put James Deen on blast for his constant abuse on fellow adult stars and reveal some of the less savory qualities of Hugh Hefner and his treatment of his bunnies.

The spotlight might always be pointed at Tinseltown, but get ready to learn about what is hidden in the shadows.

15. Maria Schneider - Assaulted On Set

When Maria Schneider got cast in Last Tango In Paris alongside Marlon Brando, you can imagine she was quite excited for the opportunity. However, the movie featured some pretty explicit sexual encounters, made all the more awkward by the fact that Schneider was 19 years old and Brando was 48.

One of the most graphic scenes involves Brando applying butter "downstairs" and then engaging in rough intercourse. When talking about the scene, Schneider admitted "I felt humiliated and to be honest, I felt a little raped, both by Marlon and by Bertolucci. After the scene, Marlon didn't console me or apologize. Thankfully, there was just one take."

Schneider also divulged that the scene was not originally in the script, but was added by Brando.

When talking more about her director, Bertolucci, Schneider said, "He was fat and sweaty and very manipulative, both of Marlon and myself, and would do certain things to get a reaction from me."

14. Hugh Hefner's Abuse Of Women

While the adult side of Hollywood may not get as many headlines, there is definitely no shortage of big names that have stepped in front of the cameras for Playboy magazine. Which makes it all the more alarming when Holly Madison came out and said that Hefner may have a history of sexual abuse.

Madison said that on the first night of drinking with Hefner, that he went to her and offered her Quaaludes saying "Usually I don't approve of drugs, but you know, in the '70s they used to call these pills 'thigh openers.'"

While you can hope Hefner was more respectful to women he only met for the shoot, that type of respect did not translate to women he considered his "girlfriends."

Madison admitted that Hefner enacted a strict 9 o'clock curfew and that all his girlfriends were expected to engage in sexual activities with him on a nightly basis.

13. The Christopher Chaney Intimate Photo Hack

In 2011, Chaney hacked his way into 50+ celebrity personal accounts and shared intimate photos of the women. Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, and Christina Aguilera all came out confirming that it was them in the photos in order to ensure Chaney received the proper punishment.

Renee Olstead, a talented actress and singer that was also involved admitted that the scandal made her consider suicide.

Chaney was arrested in 2011 and later that year was sentenced to 10 years in jail. Part of the sentence was influenced by the fact that Chaney also hacked two women that he knew in real life, and in one of the cases sent nude photos to the girl's father.

12. The Biggest Age Gaps - Seinfeld 39, Girlfriend 17 

Jerry Seinfeld may be one of the funniest comedians of all-time, but there is nothing funny about dating a 17-year-old girl when you're 39, but that's exactly what he did.

Seinfeld met Shoshanna Lonstein when she was still a senior at Nightingale-Bamford high school. He originally tried to deny the relationship to Howard Stern saying, "This is the only girl I ever went out with who was that young. I wasn’t dating her. We just went to a restaurant, and that was it," but the tabloids showed the two of them out on several occasions proving quickly that his lie wasn't going to hold up.

The two dated for several years and Seinfeld later admitted to Vanity Fair that they were even talking marriage. Shoshanna allegedly left him after getting bored because all he would talk about is work.

Seinfeld eventually fell for Jessica Sklar who later became his wife. Though not afraid of controversy, she was already married when the two started canoodling!

Other prominent age gaps in Hollywood include: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham (20 years), Donald and Melania Trump (24 years), and Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor (31 Years).

11. James Deen Abuses Other Adult Performers

While you may love checking out some adult content in your spare time, don't be mistaken and think that every woman in the video is having a good time, especially if they're getting down with famous male star James Deen.

It was reported in 2015 by Deen's former partner (and fellow star) Stoya that Deen had often sexually assaulted her both on and off set saying, "James Deen held me down and f----d me while I said no, stop, used my safe word. I just can’t nod and smile when people bring him up anymore."

Stoya is not alone, another adult entertainer Tori Lux came out saying she was repeatedly beaten before "[he started] forcing my face into his crotch several times before shoving me to the floor."

Ready to be truly disgusted? Kora Peters also came out and said, "James [Deen] kept trying to get inside my ass but I kept pushing him away, so he choked me, then he slammed my face down into the couch and forced himself in my ass anyway. The crew all high-fived him and told him what a great job he did getting a [backdoor scene] for the price of a boy/girl scene.”

That isn't high-five worthy, it's rape. The fact that James Deen seems to not be facing any significant charges and continues to get work makes this whole situation all the more appalling.

10. The iCloud Scandal

One of the biggest scandals that many female celebrities are wishing would just disappear is the iCloud scandal from 2014. Over 500 private (and intimate) photos were taken from Apple's iCloud platform and published online, exposing every little bit of 20+ female celebrities.

Jennifer Lawrence, Kaley Cuoco, Kate Upton, and Kirsten Dunst are just some of the bigger names who had their privacy violated. While it did not get as much attention, it was also reported that these celebrities had their text messages/address books and other private data exposed.

The initial leak occurred in August, but 2 more "waves" of photos were released in late September. Ryan Collins was one of the rumored criminals and in March 2016, he was arrested and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

9. The Christy Mack/War Machine Fight

Now if we're being fair, neither Christy Mack nor War Machine are MASSIVE names in the entertainment industry, but the story was so sickening that you better believe Hollywood (and the papers!) would rather you not think about it.

Mack is an adult film actress and when her former partner, MMA fighter War Machine (literally, that's his name), came home one night and found Mack sleeping beside her friend... all hell broke loose.

War Machine proceeded to beat the sh-t out of Mack, breaking teeth and forcing her to strip. It was also reported that War Machine would then go through her social media, beating her further if he found things that upset him.

Mack suffered from a broken nose, fractured rib, a ruptured liver, and 18 broken bones.

War Machine is currently being held in High Desert State Prison and will go to trial in February 2017.

8. Hollywood Accounting Screws Actors Over

The word 'accounting' may instantly make you want to take a snooze, but trust us when we say you want to pay attention to this one. Do you know that despite Return of the Jedi earning more than $475 million and only costing $32.5 million to make, that it has yet to "make a profit" if you ask the producers.

Or how about Coming to America which grossed over $350 million off a $39 million budget?

"Hollywood Accounting" is the term used when film studios will go to extreme lengths to say that their film failed to earn a "net profit" in order to prevent paying their actors, whose contract would often ask not for gross profits of the movie but instead the "net profit."

When studios are looking to prove this, they can expense out damn near anything in order to help prove that the film was not profitable. In the case of Return of the Jedi, actor David Prowse's contract stated he would not receive part of the gross profit, but the net profit.

Other movies that have famously "not turned a profit" include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which reportedly lost $167 million while also earning $939.9 million on a $150 million budget.

Peter Jackson, alongside 15 other actors also sued New Line Cinema saying they never received the 5% revenue from the merchandise sold from the Lord of the Rings franchise.

7. Winona Ryder Almost Ruins Career Over Shoplifting

Winona Ryder very well could have had her career end because of her shoplifting incident that occurred in 2001. Ryder was arrested in December after she was caught on camera stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue.

Ryder later admitted that she was under the heavy use of painkillers, but just because she's huge right now with Stranger Things, didn't make this any less serious.

It severely hindered her career, including Woody Allen saying that his film company would not insure her when he wanted to cast her in Melinda and Melinda,

"I couldn't get insurance on [Ryder and RDJ] ... We couldn't get bonded. The completion bonding companies would not bond the picture unless we could insure them. [...] We were heartbroken because I had worked with Winona before [on Celebrity] and thought she was perfect for this and wanted to work with her again."

We're sure this was a life experience that Ryder didn't soon forget!

6. The Chris Brown/Rihanna Fight

Wouldn't that be nice if we'd be able to only have one blurb dedicated to abuse that was so significant it needed its own attention? Sadly the Mack/War Machine story only leads to the abuse story between two much bigger names; Rihanna and Chris Brown.

The two were romantically involved in 2009, but then Brown decided he'd rather physically assault Rihanna as well as make threats. An abuse story is sad enough, but then photos of Rihanna's abused face made their way to TMZ and exploded on the internet.

Brown ended up pleading guilty to a felony assault and given 5 years probation. Despite all of this, Rihanna and Brown briefly rekindled their love in 2013.

Perhaps thankfully, they broke up within a year of getting back together.When talking about the incident, Brown admits he does not remember the night.

5. How Many Celebrities Bang Nannies

You know, I suppose when you consider that the nanny gets to build a close relationship with your child, I guess that creates some pretty easy bonding points. But you better believe every time it comes out that a celebrity has been "cleaning up" with the nanny, that it's going to be a story.

Ben Affleck is one of the most prominent examples who filed for divorce from Jennifer Garner after it came out that he may have been getting too close to their nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Thankfully for Affleck, he may have earned some forgiveness with Garner as it was reported in 2016 that the two had rekindled their love and were expecting.

Other prominent examples include: Arnold Schwarzenegger who also fathered a son with housekeeper Mildred Patty. Ethan Hawke who started dating their nanny after divorcing from Uma Thurman, Robin Williams who cheated on his first wife, and Jude Law who cheated on Sienna Miller.

4. The Celebrities Who Love Ladies Of The Night

You can imagine that one of the biggest perks that come with being a celebrity is that you often have women (or men) come up to you and make it very clear that they would be down for some bedroom time. Yet despite love making supposedly coming easily to them, several celebrities have engaged with a lady of the night when booty shaking.

The most prominent scandal came when Hugh Grant was arrested following a night with a lady. The situation led to Grant's marriage with Elizabeth Hurley coming to an end.

Sheen's love of the night ladies also came out in the 1990s when Heidi Fleiss who ran a prostitution ring was arrested and had checks from Sheen on her.

It was also reported that Tiger Woods spent $60,000+ on various women when he was cheating on his wife.

3. The Assault Of Child Stars

Child actors have an immense amount of pressure put on them at such an early age. You can imagine they rely heavily on executives and fellow actors to help them learn the ropes, which makes it all the more sickening to learn about the number of child stars who have been sexually assaulted.

One of the most prominent examples is Corey Feldman who wrote about his experiences being preyed upon in his book Coreyography.

In the book Feldman also talks about fellow actor Corey Haim who was raped on a set when he was 11 years old, saying "With me, there were some molestations, and it did come from several hands, so to speak, but with [Haim], his was direct rape, whereas mine was not actual rape."

Feldman went on to explain how actors typically aged 10-16 were invited to parties where executives (and other prominent figures) would encourage drinking.

Judy Garland who is best known for her role as Dorothy in Wizard of Oz has also admitted in past interviews to being sexually assaulted by studio executives who she said treated her like she was their property.

2. Revealed Josh Duggar Molested 5 People

Want to know a really great way to get your television show canceled? Have it get revealed that you have come out and molested several people. This was the case for Josh Duggar who previously starred in 19 Kids and Counting, but in 2015 it came to light that he had sexually assaulted 5 individuals, 4 of whom were his siblings.

Duggar allegedly touched his sisters (and the other victim) repeatedly when they were asleep between 2002 and 2003. At the time, Josh was 14 and 15 years old.

It also came to light that his father became aware of the assault in 2002, but elected on his own form of punishment, which included counselling and meeting with State Trooper Jim Hutchens where Josh again admitted his assault.

This is not the only controversy that surrounded Josh. It was revealed after Ashley Madison had a data breach that he had been cheating on his wife. Also in 2015, adult entertainer Danica Dillon came out and said that Duggar had assaulted her during a lap dance at a gentleman's club.

1. Revealed Bill Cosby Assaulted 51 Women

Bill Cosby is one of the most successful actors of all-time, which is unfortunate when you consider he clearly just used his fame to sexually assault people throughout his life.

It has been reported that 51 women have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them. It has been a long pattern of abuse that allegedly started in the 1960s and lasted until 2008.

One of his alleged victims Therese Serignese opened up about her experience with Cosby in 2014 saying, "My next memory is I felt high; I don't remember what happened in the meantime. Then my next memory is being in that vanity room, by that big mirror, and he didn't have any clothes on, and obviously I didn't either by that point. I don't know how they got off. I don't have that memory… I was just like bent over, and he was saying all kinds of dirty stuff. I felt powerless, I didn't know what to do."

Serignese's story is on par with the high number of women that said Cosby would drug them with Quaaludes (or a similar drug) prior to assaulting them.
