The Big Bang Theory is an extremely popular American sitcom that airs weekly on CBS. The show, created by Chuck Lorre, who also created Two and a Half Men and other popular shows, debuted in 2007 and is still running a decade later.
In 2017, the show was renewed for two more seasons so, we can expect to see one of our favorite programs at least through the 2019 season.
The show is so popular that the actors on it are paid Jerry Seinfeld-like salaries. Some cast members earn a cool million dollars per episode.
Jim Parsons plays the strange Sheldon Coop. Johnny Galecki portrays Leonard Hofstadter. Simon Helberg takes on the role of Howard Wolowitz. Raj Kotthrappali is played by Kunal Nayyar. The three main female characters, Penny, Bernadette and Amy Farrah Fowler, are played by Kaley Cuoco, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, respectively. Cuoco’s character, Penny, has never revealed her last name on the program.
On the show, all have a Ph.D., except for Penny and Howard. Howard has a Master's degree in engineering. One cast member from this bunch even has an actual Ph.D. in Neuroscience, which you will find out who in a moment. Ph.D. or not, the actors who play the bunch of higher-than-average intelligent scientific misfits have each come into their own by garnering multi-million dollar annual salaries.
Successful stars of a current TV program like The Big Bang Theory are automatically given A-List celebrity status. People in that kind of elite social class do NOT want their potentially embarrassing photographs circulating. This is why we have compiled this list of 15 Photos Big Bang Theory Cast Members Don’t Want You To See!
15 Supergirl Kaley
We dug up this picture of Kaley Cuoco during our investigative reporting. As you can see, the photo of Kaley is right next to an identical photo of who appears to be someone who looks like Britney Spears. It appears that someone has edited one of the photos. Both copies look so realistic that it's hard to tell who's who. Do you even care which one is real or if either of them is authentic? In the case of not being Kaley, she would not want us to see it because it is clearly a totally-edited photo made to look like her. If it is Cuoco, she probably would not be happy if she knew the thoughts some of you guys were having while looking at her photo. In either case, this is not a portrait Kaley Cuoco wants out there for the world to see, although we KNOW it is a photo that YOU want out there to see.
14 Kaley Cuoco Nose Job
Not only is this photo of Kaley Cuoco taken during her worst, but it would also later prove that she was a liar. The picture is clearly of Kaley after some injury or surgery as she looks battered and has gauze jammed up her snout. At first, Cuoco slammed the press for saying she had a nose job and claimed it was surgery on her sinus to alleviate breathing issues. Almost two years later, once the starlet felt secure in her new appearance, she came out and publicly stated that getting a nose job and breast enhancement was the best thing she had ever done. Would this be the same nose job you didn't have before, Kaley? Being exposed as a liar is not so bad when you are the one perpetrating the big reveal because then, it is just called coming clean or taking responsibility. However, no one, especially Hollywood actresses, like pictures taken while they are injured or recovering.
13 Rusty Griswold
Johnny Galecki is a big TV star these days who at one time was commanding a salary of $1 million per episode of The Big Bang Theory. We say at one time because he was so pleased with his paycheck that he recently sacrificed $100,000 per episode, along with other cast members, so that cast members who are paid less could now earn more. That's quite generous considering an average season could be around 26 episodes. That calculates to $2.6 million for a season worth of filming. That isn't even one year's labor. In this photo, we are reminded the wealthy actor was not always so fortunate as he is now. At one time, he was Rusty Griswold, son of Clark W. Griswold. He starred opposite Chevy Chase in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation which means he was related to Randy Quaid’s character, Cousin Eddie. No one would want to be remembered for that.
12 Simon Helberg Yearbook Photo
Who likes embarrassing yearbook photos from their youth? We don’t! You don’t! Simon Helberg probably doesn't like them either. In this picture, Simon can be reminded of his academic endeavors as a youth. Judging by what we see in the photo, it would be a safe bet to say he was not an "A" lister during this period in his life. One could even assume that he might have been picked on, ridiculed, and made fun of. Seeing this photo makes us imagine that Helberg had his fair share of atomic wedgies and swirlies. Of course, if this were him today, he would be just fine since bullying has gone out of style. Nonetheless, he surely would not want to recall those memories, if they happened. We can only assume by looking at this picture.
11 Jim Parsons With A Weird Hairdo
What is going on in this picture, Jim Parsons? Are you playing a role? Why are you dressed as a woman? Much like bullying has become unaccepted in modern society, sexual preference has become more accepted these days. We respect your right to be whatever you want to be in life, but we want to know what that is. We tune in to see you each week, and we are the reason you make that hefty paycheck. So please don't confuse us anymore than we already are. You look like a woman from the 1950's in this picture and appear to be happy. Again, this is just fine, but let us know what's going on. We love you no matter what and will continue to watch The Big Bang Theory until Charlie Sheen does something to ruin that show, too.
10 Jim Parsons In A Wig...AGAIN!
Parsons is at it again in this photo. Is this a character he has taken on or a night-out on the town? In either instance, he cannot be intentionally confusing us. Seeing these kinds of photos of himself might confuse him even more. He does have long and flowing locks shown here but is actually a woman's hair. It's hard to determine if the photo is genuine. The hairline looks good. One big reason he wouldn't want us to see this image is that it opens him up for ridicule and makes him the butt of the joke. We doubt this is a real photo, but it's out there for all to see. It is never funny to the subject when your picture is altered to make you look silly. Parsons is a talented actor and a good person, and we can expect big things to come from over his career. Did you see his stellar performance in Hidden Figures? If not, check it out!
9 Johnny Galecki With Roseanne Barr
When we see this photograph of Johnny Galecki, we recall his days on the television program, Roseanne. When we think of Roseanne Barr, we think of her horrible performance of the national anthem. Roseanne also makes us think of Rosie O’Donnell. Both women are people we have all tried hard to forget. This photo undermines all your hard work and effort to move on and makes them fresh in your mind. For that reason, Galecki would not like this photo seen. Plus, look at how Roseanne looks. Additionally, it takes the focus off the mega star he is today and the household name he had become and reminded us of a time when he was just lucky to be part of a household. That household was the Conner family home.
8 Big Bang's Most Wanted
Kunal Nayyar is a popular television sitcom star. You would never know that by looking at him in this picture. He looks like a few things, one of which is not a Hollywood celebrity. He does, however, look like a movie star in the photo. The kind of movie star that acted in adult films in the 1970's with that poorly trimmed bushy mustache. He does not look like a person you would see in one of the top ranked shows on TV. He looks more like someone you would see towards the top of a list at your local post office. He might be able to dismiss all those theories by saying he was auditioning for a role as a young Pablo Escobar. But just looking at him in this picture, it does seem like a viable explanation.
7 High School Raj
This is probably the least embarrassing photo on this list. Kunal looks like a fine young man in this photo. If this were us, we would not want this picture distributed. Even though he was a cute kid back then, he has grown into a handsome man today. Having this type of picture out there might block him with the chicks. Kunal does have a stunning and beautiful wife who is also an actress and a model. You know, those Hollywood types. He might want to keep things open just in case they don't work out at home. Seeing him portrayed as a young nerd might remind the girls that he is a nerd and blow off his chances as he rounds the bases to home. Eventually, they will remember that he isn't a nerd, he just plays one on TV.
6 Mayim Blossoms
When seeing this photo, we remember that Mayim Bialik got her start as Blossom on the so-so TV show of the same name. The show was centered around the awkward girl as she was growing up and coming of age. The show only lasted a few years, from 1991-1995 before NBC canceled it. NBC never really gave Mayim a second chance anywhere and it took her over 20 years before finding fame on The Big Bang Theory. Some people might not mind so much remembering where they came from, but in this case, it was Blossom. That reminds us that it took her over two decades to find fame. Other people might care about stuff like that, but Mayim has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Bachelors in Neuroscience. So, Dr. Mayim Bialik probably doesn’t care as much as some.
5 Mayim in the Middle, as Midler
Now, this is a photo Mayim Bialik might care about more. She may not be so partial towards digging up her roots and not because she was playing a young Bette Midler, in Beaches. This was when she was just an awkward-looking kid who had not yet grown into her body. We don't mean any insult by saying she was awkward; you should see what the author of this piece looked like then and now. It's just that she might not want us to see this photo. Most celebrities do not like bringing up their past from when they were younger and less attractive than they are today. Mayim has grown to be a very beautiful woman. Seeing this photo reminds her that it was not always so for this celebrity.
4 Bowl Cut 1.0
If nothing else, this picture shows Kaley Cuoco with, well, to be honest, an ugly haircut. It resembles the old home haircut from the 1980's where your aunt or aspiring beautician sister, thinks it is a good idea to put a mixing bowl over your head to serve as a guide. Guess what? It's not a good idea because the result makes you look like a child mannequin. That is exactly what Kaley looks like in this shot. The photograph was taken during the time when she was filming commercials as a child. That means a casting director saw her like this and hired her. It would be hard to accept that a casting director made her look this way. Imagine if Kaley brought that style back to The Big Bang Theory. The casting personnel there probably would not feel the same as the commercial caster did back then.
3 Simon Says: "Say hello to my little friend!"
Thank goodness, the editors cropped this photo for publication. This is Simon Helberg at some costume party. The outfit he's decked out in consists of a full-bodied Caucasian-skin-colored suit. This conveys the image of nudity. Then there is some accessory sewn on made to look like chest hair. The part you can't see in this image has hair in another, more personal region of the body and a pink colored man part. Some people think it is funny to dress like this at functions, but it really isn't. It opens the door to make others feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. The only good thing it does, and we are not even sure if this is a good thing, it allows one to be obnoxious, overbearing, sexually-harassed members of both sexes. For this, Simon should be ashamed that this picture exists.
2 Penny and Bernadette "Cupping"
Melissa Rauch plays Bernadette Rostenkiwski on The Big Bang Theory. On the show, she has a PhD in Microbiology and is married to Howard Wolowitz. Rauch’s character is a former waitress at the Cheesecake Factory. In this photo, Rauch looks more like an overdressed waitress at Hooters or any street corner pub. Had Rauch used this photograph in her portfolio, she might have been offered a role in the next Girls Gone Wild DVD instead of one of the most successful TV sitcoms on the air today. In 2014, Rauch was making around $100,000 per episode and around $200,000 in 2016. However, the show's top earners at $1 million per episode each took pay cuts of $100,000 per episode so Rauch could get a raise to $450,000 per episode. What an incredible and rare act on their part. Perhaps the show should be called Friends. Wait, they already had a show with a similar name, didn’t they?
1 Bowl Cut 2.0
Here we have Jim Parsons as a child. He is wearing a geeky-looking sweater and ugly colored pants. He's sporting that same dorky bowl cut we can see on Kaley Cuoco in another picture. The one good thing for Parsons in this picture is that based on the gingerbread men and decorations see in the background, we can assume it is near the winter holidays and he was not forced to wear a hideous Christmas sweater. We all hated wearing those kinds of sweaters as children almost as much as we hate having people see pictures of us when we were younger and not one of those cute kids. Besides there being no holiday sweater, the other redeeming factor of this photo is that there is at least one cute, properly-groomed, and well-dressed child in the picture. That adorable child is sitting directly next to Parsons.
