What would you do if you had the chance to be with one of your celebrity crushes? Would you leave your spouse for that person if given a chance? We all have our fantasies, including celebrities themselves. We lesser folk have less of a chance of scoring with our favorite celebrity, but for famous men and women, it’s a much easier task.

It’s easy for lust or love to happen while on set because you spend so much time working with your co-stars. They spend more time with their co-stars than they do with their significant others. It can be easy to succumb to temptation. However, things are different when a celebrity is married. Instead of honoring their marriages, these celebrities are crossing the line and getting themselves into trouble. It’s hard to keep an affair between two celebrities hidden these days, especially since the crew and other co-stars tend to find out about it.

Once it’s out, it hits the magazines, and then the spouses get brought in, and that’s the most heartbreaking part of this whole thing. There are many affairs that have happened on movie sets, and some of them were with some pretty big names. We all get tempted; it’s just a matter of what you do with that temptation. Here are 15 actors that ruined their marriages by hooking up on these movies. If you thought you knew every scandal out there, you'd be wrong.

Titanic

At the time that Titanic was being filmed, James Cameron was married to Terminator star Linda Hamilton. While filming the movie, Cameron started an affair with actress Suzy Amis. Cameron had been with Hamilton for many years, although it was his third marriage at that point. News broke out about the affair, and Hamilton left him. There was a period of time when Cameron went back to Hamilton, but it didn’t last long before he was back in the arms of his lover, Amis. The two eventually married, and it became his fourth marriage. They're still married to this day and have three children together. “Titanic was the most painful thing in the world,” says Linda. “But this wasn't because Jim was cheating on me. Jim went off with Suzy because we were taking a break from each other, and he was free to go with her. It was a painful time because we'd had a relationship where I'd push him away, then he'd push me away. Frankly, most of our relationship was us taking a big break.”

Gigli

Ben Affleck has a habit of getting involved with co-stars, and his affair with Garner wasn’t the first one that he had. He met Jennifer Lopez on the set of Gigli, and the two started up a heated affair as well. At the time, Lopez was married to her second husband, Cris Judd. No one could figure out how the two of them got together; they seemed like polar opposites. The movie was a total flop, and it turned out, so was their relationship because Affleck ended up falling in love with another co-star. The affair ended Lopez’s marriage to Cris Judd, however, and the two never reconciled. Lopez went on to get married again to Marc Anthony. Affleck said this about the relationship between him and Lopez, "It could have been a bad movie no one cared about. Angelina Jolie had a bad movie that year, and no one cared. But it was because I was dating Jennifer Lopez that made it a big f--king deal. So, not only was it just a bad movie but ‘they dated each other.’”

Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively seem to be the perfect couple these days; they're always gushing to interviewers about each other. But they have a tangled story as well. When the two met, they were working together on Green Lantern, which turned out to be a flop of a movie. We’re not entirely sure when the two fell in love because they've always been rather coy about the whole thing. Although it’s never been confirmed, many people believe that it happened while filming Green Lantern. People speculated about it because the two became cozy friends during filming and were often seen hanging out in New York. At the time, Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson, and Lively was in a relationship with her Gossip Girl love, Penn Badgley. Their friendship caused conflict in their respective relationships, and they eventually ended. We don’t know if Lively and Reynolds were hooking up on set, but they did eventually get together and married in 2012.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Brangelina was born due to the collaboration of these two actors on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, and everyone believed that they were the golden couple. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt denied that they had an affair while he was still married to Aniston, but that argument soon fell apart when Jolie admitted during an interview that she couldn’t wait for her children to be old enough to see the movie where she fell in love with their father. Oops, the cat's out of the bag now! At that point, rumors started flying, and it was pretty obvious that Jolie was a homewrecker. Jolie said this about it: "It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we’d earlier allowed ourselves to believe," she said. "And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that was going to take a lot of serious consideration."

Proof of Life

Another high-profile couple that crashed and burned. Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe co-starred together on Proof of Life. Crowe was always considered to be a bad boy in Hollywood, and, maybe, that was where the attraction started for Ryan, who had been married to Dennis Quaid for a decade. Everyone was shocked by the affair because Ryan was known to be America’s Sweetheart. The affair came out, of course, and Quaid filed for divorce. Quaid actually thanked Crowe for taking Ryan off his hands because he believed that she was no longer worth his time. Ryan later admitted that although she stepped out on her marriage, Quaid had cheated on her many times. The steamy love affair between Ryan and Crowe fizzled soon after the divorce, however, as many of those types of affairs usually do. There was no reconciliation between Quaid and Ryan either.

House of Wax

At the time that he was filming House of Wax, Chad Michael Murray was married to his One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush. Murray was considered quite the hottie at the time, and the two fell in love quickly, and it looked to be like they were quite the perfect match. When they were married, One Tree Hill fans went crazy; they loved the fact that these two fell in love for real. But their love affair didn’t last very long when Murray starred in House of Wax alongside wild child Paris Hilton. The two hooked up despite his marriage to Bush, and it wasn’t long before rumors started swirling about the two on set. Bush immediately filed for divorce, disgusted with her husband’s behavior. When asked about whether she keeps in contact with her ex, Bush laughed, saying, "That's such an interesting question. But my mother once said to me that if you don't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all."

Northern Lights

This is one cheating scandal that hit the headlines. If you aren’t aware of it, then we don’t know where you've been. Country music sweetheart LeAnn Rimes shocked the world when it came out that she was having an affair with her co-star from Northern Lights, Eddie Cibrian. Rimes, at the time, was married to Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian was married to reality star Brandi Glanville, so it was a double whopper. The two had a scorching love affair while on set, and when it came out, Rimes especially got a lot of flak from the media because everyone thought that she was so innocent. She and Cibrian won out in the end because they were truly in love, and they married. They're still together until this day, and she's the stepmother to his two children. Rimes and Glanville hate each other, for obvious reasons, and they've had some pretty epic Twitter wars.

Days of Thunder

At the time that Tom Cruise was filming Days of Thunder, he was married to Mimi Rogers. Their marriage was already a little rocky, and there were rumors that it was because he had cheated on her before. So, it came as no big surprise when it came out that he was having an affair with his co-star, Nicole Kidman, during filming. She must've been a hard one to resist, being the absolute fox that she was in that movie. That was the last straw for Rogers, who filed for divorce just one month into the filming of the movie. Kidman and Cruise married one year later and stayed together for a while, adopting two children in the process. It's said that a Scientology executive had something to do with initiating the divorce between them. Their marriage didn’t last either, and they eventually divorced as well.

Mind Over Murder

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott were involved in a Lifetime movie called Mind Over Murder. It, apparently, was love at first sight. The only problem was, McDermott was married, at the time, to Mary Jo Eustace. The affair between them started literally on the first day of filming when the two hooked up. Spelling was also married at the time, so it made the affair even worse. Spelling and McDermott eventually got married and had multiple children together. But it wasn’t the fairytale love that they made it seem like. Once a cheater always a cheater, however, because McDermott went on to cheat on Spelling as well. He had an affair with another co-star, Emily Goodhand, on the television series Chopped Canada. Spelling seems to be more forgiving than his previous wife, of course, because she's still with McDermott.

Dream House

When Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig met on the set of Dream House, they were both engaged to other people. That didn’t stop them from hooking up and starting a scandalous affair, though before the movie even hit theaters, the two had broken up with their partners and started a relationship. They eventually married and are still together to this day. There have been rumors flying this year, however, that the two aren’t doing so well. The word is that the two are leading separate lives these days. “Rachel and Daniel haven’t been happy for a while and nearly called it quits last year.” The two have not been photographed together in years. We hope the two will be able to work out whatever issues they have. “With the time difference and their focus on work commitments, no one would be surprised to learn they’ve split. Rachel wants to reignite her career this year, and Daniel’s heartbroken. Rachel is on a streak in her acting career, choosing roles that appeal to her moral sense of justice.”

Daredevil

When Daredevil was filming, both Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were in committed relationships. Affleck was with Jennifer Lopez, while Garner had a long-term relationship with Scott Foley. Neither of the actors has admitted that they hooked up on set, though Affleck has said that he fell in love with Garner while working with her. "That’s where I found my wife," he said. "We met on Pearl Harbor, which people hate, but we fell in love on Daredevil." They may have fallen in love on set, but it took a while before they ever became official. Affleck was still with Lopez a year after the movie was filmed. Two months after that, Garner left Foley, and a year after that, Garner and Affleck made their first public appearance at a Red Sox game. They were truly a couple in love, but their love, too, fell apart when Affleck cheated on Garner.

Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll

Marilyn Manson is certainly a really weird person, but because of the fact that he’s rich and famous, he seems to bring in the ladies. On the set of Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, Manson hooked up with the young actress Evan Rachel Wood, which came as a shock to everyone around them. At the time, Manson was in a relationship with burlesque beauty Dita Von Teese. People couldn’t believe that he had two gorgeous women who were completely enamored with him. They must've seen something special in Manson. There were lots of allegations swarming around, and Von Teese decided she had had enough. Soon after she left Manson, Wood and Manson became engaged. That engagement didn’t last either, however, and the new couple split as well. It’s not surprising; no one could figure out why Wood and Manson were together in the first place.

Pushing Tin

Mr. & Mrs. Smith wasn’t the first movie that Angelina Jolie stirred up trouble in. She starred in Pushing Tin alongside Billy Bob Thornton, and, at the time, he was engaged to Laura Dern. It seems that Jolie has a habit of taking what she wants even if it’s not meant to be hers, to begin with. During filming, the two got pretty hot and heavy, and Thornton ended things with Dern. He was venomous about how he did it, though; Dern claims he never even told her he had moved on from their engagement. “I left our home to work on a movie, and while I was away, my boyfriend got married, and I’ve never heard from him again.” Talk about cruel. Jolie and Thornton did, in fact, get married and started wearing vials of each other’s blood while on the red carpet together. Their marriage obviously crashed and burned, and Jolie moved on to find new prey.

Stop Loss

You might be thinking to yourself, who would ever want to cheat on someone as talented and beautiful as Reese Witherspoon? She was probably asking the same question herself when Ryan Phillippe stepped out on her to fool around with his co-star, Abbie Cornish. It’s never been confirmed that he cheated on her, but there were certainly plenty of rumors. And not surprisingly, Witherspoon and Phillippe broke up a few months later, which was even less surprising was when Cornish and Phillippe announced they were dating soon after the split. It’s really not hard to put two and two together on what was really happening on the set of Stop Loss. The two have since broken up, and Phillippe still gets flak over losing Witherspoon. "I've been dumped on in the press for relationship stuff since Reese [Witherspoon] and I divorced. I'm tired of getting s*** on. I don't feel like I deserve it. Things happen! How many people have you broken up with over your life?"

Snow White and the Huntsman

The you-know-what hit the fan when pictures of Kristen Stewart and her director for the movie Snow White and the Huntsman broke out in the media. At the time, Rupert Sanders was a married man with two children, and Stewart was dating Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. The affair came as quite a shock, especially to fans who assumed she was in love with Pattinson. Sanders was a lot older than Stewart, which surprised everyone as well, and his enraged wife refused to stay with the director. Stewart publicly apologized for the affair: "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him... I love him... I'm so sorry." But despite the apologies made, Pattinson was humiliated by the affair and broke things off with Stewart as well. Many people thought the two would get back together, but in the end, it was too much for all of them.
