There is an old saying that “home is where the heart is”. Perhaps, for these celebrities home is where they can have an indoor swimming pool, home theatre and indoor bowling ally. Many people dream of the day they can be millionaires and can finally be financially secure. The dream for some is to win the lottery or become rich and famous. It would probably be wise to save money and plan for the future, unless you have too much money. Many celebrities work their whole life to gain fame and fortune. So, if they want to buy a ridiculously expensive house with a moat they should go ahead. It’s common for people to dream up their amazing dream home. Celebrities do that too but they can always go a step further than somebody just dreaming. If a celebrity wants an extravagant kitchen with multiple stoves and fridges, they can have it. They can pretty much do what they want and often they’ll purchase homes that a non-celebrity could only dream of.

Many of these celebrity mansions are on acres of land and in many cases are actually near each other. Many celebrities end up buying homes in the same neighbourhood and sometimes even buy homes from each other. Some of these mansions are actually more famous than the celebrity living in them. 15. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen once lived in a mansion that would put Buckingham Palace to shame. Tom Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and Gisele is considered one of the most beautiful and greatest models of all time. They purchased the property in 2008 for $11 million and built their dream home from scratch. The home is 22,000 square feet and includes an outdoor dining area, a swimming pool and a moat surrounds the entire property. Tom and Gisele’s master bedroom includes a massive marble hot tub, his and her walk-in closets and an outdoor water plunge pool built into the couple’s bedroom balcony. At the time, their newborn baby, Vivian, had her nursery across from her parent’s room. Vivian’s room included her own bathroom and outdoor terrace. The home also contains a large gym that includes a weights room and a separate cardio room. Additionally, the mansion contains a library, cigar room and wine cellar. In 2015, they sold the house to Dr. Dre for roughly $40 million. Tom and Gisele have since purchased a $20 million, 5,000 square foot apartment in New York City.

Aaron Spelling is best known for producing several critically and commercially acclaimed TV series, such as The Love Boat, Charlie’s Angles, Dynasty and Beverly Hills, 90210. The Manor is a 56,000 square foot French chateau-style mansion. The two-story home is built on 4.6 acres and includes 123 rooms. The cost of building the house was $12 million and features three rooms for wrapping presents, a gym, four two-car garages and a large theatre. The mansion also includes a bowling ally, a pool and a skating rink. Aaron Spelling died at The Manor in 2006. In 2011, socialite Petra Stunt purchased The Manor for $85 million. She removed the fireplace mantels, chandeliers and wall lights in order to upgrade the home. In 2016, The Manor went up for sale and is listed at $200 million.

The Grammy Award winning Taylor Swift is one of the best selling solo artists of all time. With the amount of money she makes it’s no surprise she’s living in a mansion that could be mistaken for a castle. Previously, she purchased a $2 million penthouse in Nashville and home in California for $3.97 million.

Hugh Hefner is the founder of Playboy magazine. He is known for his lavish lifestyle and extravagant parties. Hugh Hefner founded Playboy in 1953 and it quickly became the number 1 men’s magazine. He is also very well known for his impressive Playboy Mansion located in Los Angeles, which was originally designed in 1927. The house also includes a wine cellar, which features a Prohibition-era secret door. The boathouse contains a gym and a sauna. 'The Games Building' is a separate building and it includes pinball machines, a jukebox, a player piano and arcade games. Outside the mansion includes a koi pond with a citrus orchard. The property also includes an outdoor kitchen used for parties. In 2016, the Playboy Mansion was sold for $100 million but Hugh Hefner will remain in the mansion until his death.

Her California home is worth a whopping $85 million and has a breathtaking view of the ocean and mountains. The home is so impressive that it even has its own name “The Promised Land”. The home includes 13 fireplaces and has its own lake. Additionally, she owns a vacation home in Maui that sits on 163 acres. She also owns a $14 million ski house in Colorado. Prince is one of the most iconic and legendary musicians of all time. Prince won seven Grammy Awards and sold over 100 million records worldwide making him one of the best selling artists.
