Since her 2005 debut album, Music Of The Sun, Rihanna has ruled the R&B, dance, and pop charts, earning multiple #1 Billboard chart toppers, Grammy awards, platinum plaques, and more. There hasn't been a moment since when Rihanna wasn't doing something to keep her in the spotlight.
Other than being known for her music and her bad girl persona, Bad Girl (you can add "gal" instead if you want to) RiRi is also known for her wardrobe and her fashion sense, although in some cases, sometimes the clothes she didn't have on can be considered just as good. While some find her appearance classless, tasteless, or just plain degrading to women, since she likes to shamelessly show off her body, others commend it. One thing is more than likely certain: whether you love it or you don't, she probably doesn't care either way. And that's why we love her.
Anyway whether you're a part of Rihanna's Navy, you're into fashion, or heck, you're just some pervert who just needs something to get off to, don't be shy about reading on. Trust me no one is looking... unless of course your significant other is peeping in on you in the not so rare case you get into an argument and she has some dirt on you, because if so, in all honesty, that's a pretty smart idea. Probably not going to happen though, so you probably don't have anything to worry about. Keep reading to see 15 of the absolute hottest photos of Rihanna.
15 Vanity Fair
In 2015, during her interview with Vanity Fair, Rihanna gave some insight on her bad girl or "bad gal" image, stating "I honestly think how much fun it would be to live my reputation. People have this image of how wild and crazy I am and I’m not everything they think of me." In addition to that, she also opens up about her sex and relationship life and says that when it comes to hearing certain rumors about the men she's allegedly with at the time being, she gets "freaked out." In her own words, she says "Sometimes it’s the first time I’m meeting this person — and then all of a sudden I’m ‘with them.’ It freaks me out. This industry creates stories and environments that can make you uncomfortable even being friends with someone. If you see me sitting next to someone, or standing next to someone, what, I’m not allowed to do that? I’m like, are you serious? Do you think it’s going to stop me from having a friend?”
As brought up by Vogue, this was the first time Rihanna dropped an album in 4 years (the last being her album, Unapologetic.) As with many photo shoots she does, there's more to it than just pictures. This time around she gives a back story on some of the songs featured on Anti and that's not all. When you read a little further, you begin to realize that Rihanna isn't the teenage girl who sang "SOS" and had brief a appearance in one of the Bring It On sequels. She is now a full fledged business women with a combination of power and beauty and then as you finish reading, you sit back relax and think "wow, f*ck my life!" as you, probably, very much like me, work a normal lifestyle, with minimum wage money, doing average things. For anyone going through the struggle, I just want to say, I feel your pain... I feel your pain my friend and you are not alone. We can't all be Rihanna.
13 Brit Awards (2016)
So yeah, the 2016 edition of the Brit Awards was a total snooze fest. Nobody deserved to win the awards they did and the show just plain sucked... sike! Just playing, overall the show was nice, had some decent performances, had some hot looks on the red carpet, and I didn't fall sleep, so that counts as a win in my book. If you're wondering why I wanted to fool you into believing that I thought this show sucked, it's because I had nothing better to do and wanted to catch you off guard. If you want to know what this has to do with the pic above, I'll explain that too: it's because it was taken at the event I was just telling you about and I thought, "hey this would be perfect to post." Lastly, if you're interested on learning about what I do in my spare time and if I have a life, to answer the last question first, yes...yes, I do have a life and to answer the first one... I enjoy taking long walks on the beach, thank you. Anyway, doesn't Rihanna look hot? I mean, does she ever look bad?
12 CFDA Fashion Awards (2014)
In 2014, Rihanna attended the CFDA Awards dressed up in an outfit that Family Guy protagonist Peter Griffin also famously wore in a picture circulating online (Rihanna shared the comparison photo on her own social media account). Now obviously looking at Peter in that outfit makes you want to laugh, but looking at the outfit above makes you want to do something else... you know, with some tissue and lotion... and potentially some blisters on a not so desired part of your anatomy. Or you could pretend your girlfriend or boyfriend (for all the ladies that swing that way) was Rihanna and fantasize about it. Just remember not tell your lover that you read this (which shouldn't be too hard.) On a side note, if you're wondering why I didn't post a more "revealing" photo... well, you should know why. As soon as Rihanna moves that fur, this photo gets an x-rating!
Well, you knew this one was coming and man, do I have a story to tell you. Yeah, I remember the first day I saw this picture. I remember it so well, because I was so mad. "Damn photographer!" I thought to myself. "Screw my life." It was on this day that I knew I was destined to become a handy dandy professional picture taker, due to me being salty and bitter about what had occurred.
Then it happened. I pinched myself to see if all this was real or if I was just having a crazy dream. Sure enough, I woke up and all seemed fine, but then out of the corner of my eye, I saw the most beautiful set of luscious lips that I had ever seen in all my years of existence. I looked closer and I saw a gorgeous, gorgeous face that looked oh so familiar and sure enough, it was exactly who I thought it was... a really close friend of mine that I knew back in third grade - unfortunately not Rihanna, though. I thought wow, what a night. I got up out of bed and happened to turn on my computer at just the right time to see someone writing about a new Rihanna photo shoot. I checked out the pictures and later, all I could think about was that.
For this next entry, we go all the way back a few years to Rihanna's GQ photo shoot. Keep in mind, this was the same year that Drake and Chris Brown got into that fight that was allegedly over her, so yeah, that was kind of a big deal (try saying that in a Ron Burgundy voice). Anyway, In her interview with them, Rihanna states, "Sometimes a person looks at me and sees dollars. They see numbers and they see a product ... I look at me and see art. If I didn’t like what I was doing, then I would say I was committing slavery."
I always thought this was pretty deep. Before you call BS, how many people do you know get up and work at a 9 to 5 job that they hate, but have to go to just to barely have enough to survive? I know this isn't the same thing, but it made me think about that, for some reason. So many people have get loads of opportunities to be who they want to be, but never can follow through with making their dreams a reality, because they fear rejection. Rihanna is living her dream.
9 GQ Part 2
And while we're talking about Rihanna and GQ, it is now time to once again talk about Rihanna and GQ. There are just too many great photos of Rihanna in GQ over the years! In the UK edition of the magazine, instead of laying naked on a couch, she can be seen laying half naked on a bed of roses, with beautiful red hair to match the rose petals and a sexy black outfit, as well as in some hot lingerie while eating cherries, of course. She gazes so seductively at the camera, as if to say "come and get me." Legend has it, that if you stare to long at this picture, you fall asleep and wake the next morning in a puddle... and you know it's not urine.
So stare but don't stare for too long, because you may end up regretting it later.
8 GQ Part 3
You know, it's no secret, that no one likes snakes. Doesn't matter if it's figuratively, as in a person who doesn't like even thinking about snakes in the grass near them, or literally, because some snakes bite. That's probably the case for this entry's picture and... well, you know why.
Here we see Rihanna posing with a head full of snakes (instead of hair) looking sexy as usual, even with eyes that resemble that of a nice big poisonous cobra. And wait what's this? It appears that she is not alone and happens to have a snake draped over her naked body. You know, to all the boobie lovers out there, this might not be your cup of tea, it might even scare you a little, but you have to admit, it's still hot. And yes... I did in fact use the word boobie, ladies and gentlemen, get at me, or get over it. Your choice.
7 Lui Part 2
The next entry is another pic taken from her shoot for Lui. This time around, Rihanna shows us she can be revealing without being too reveling, covering one of her eyes with her hair (because you know, all those Illuminati conspiracy theorist can have something to talk about). Anyway, she shows off some pretty expensive hand jewelry that makes things even more unique and... Okay, let's be honest, most of the people who saw this picture probably saw things way more explicit than this rubbish I'm writing right now and if your mind is ultimately in the deep, deep bottom of the gutter, let's just say this photo looks completely different to you right now. The full photo is a little too sexy, even for us!
Ah, Hawaii, what's there not to love about that place? The beaches, the culture... And now one more thing can be added to that list of reasons you love Hawaii so much. Now this is a little different than most of the entries on this list, because it's more of a personal picture, rather than something she shot for a fashion magazine. She spent the first part of her trip as a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding and also did a photo shoot with Dennis Leupold. Other than that, she also spent some time rock climbing and of course, rocking a bikini. On a side note, I have to admit, that me and heights haven't always been the best of friends as I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes down to stuff like that. It's not that I'm a coward or anything, it's that heights aren't my specialty. And with that being said, I can honestly say Rihanna, on the other hand, is a real bonafide, certified trooper!
5 The O2 Arena
Since so far, I haven't included a picture of Rihanna from a live concert, I figured I'd do that right now. The photo above happens to be a picture taken from he Loud tour in 2011. The tour saw surprise guests like Kanye West, Jay Z, and, of course, the man many considered her to be dating at the time, Drake. You know when selecting this picture, I had the strangest memory of this time when Rihanna stopped one of her shows because the band wasn't all on the same page (someone was off).
Long story short, the song was restarted and everything was all peachy. If you're wondering what song it was, it was "Where Have You Been" and she was performing it in London. I was legit scared for whoever screwed up, the look on her face when it all went down, was the same look you get from your wife when she has found out you've cheating on her for the past 5 years with some random chick you met at the local strip club and you can tell your life is at a serious, serious risk of being ended right then and there.
4 Can't Remember To Forget You
If you recall, in 2014, Shakira, made yet another classic record, this time with the help of, you guessed it, Rihanna! The song did well on the charts and Rihanna and Shakira's vocals complement each other very well. The music video was another plus and if anyone is wondering, that's where the above picture comes from, but I'm pretty sure you knew that before I wrote it. It was definitely one of the steamiest videos the two of them have ever done, and it doesn't hurt that they're both extremely sexy to begin with.
The real MVP here, however, has got to be the director. Not sure if it was done intentionally or not, but either way, my hat is off to them. If I was wearing one, anyway.
Rihanna's single "Stay" from her 7th studio album Unapologetic proved to be quite a success. Just to give you Rihanna's take on this song, she stated, "It's a very emotional song and it's personal, so you just think about, it's almost like telling a story, and when you tell a story, even to yourself — if you're saying it out loud and expressing how you feel — it needs to be powerful because it needs to be authentic." The music video for said single shows Rihanna in the nude (as most of her videos are anyway), in the bath, with a bare face, strong with emotions. I can't help but think she looks naturally beautiful and innocent in this shot. It's rare to see Rihanna looking so vulnerable.
2 What Now
If you're into dark, eerie (not Illuminati eerie, just regular eerie), and hot women, this is probably going to your favorite out of the entire list. If you notice, I'm mentioning Illuminati. That's because when this video came out, it garnered a lot of controversy for its dark undertones and some of its themes. I know this is a common thing for a lot of artists and celebrities, like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Katt Williams, but this video was especially targeted by conspiracy theorists a lot more than some others. The cross on Rihanna's neck an example of what I'm talking about. I guess it's all a matter of opinion, but personally, I think now the directors of a lot of your favorite music videos just put things that resemble Illuminati symbolism in the videos for more views. In my opinion, I think that they get that the casual listener doesn't pay the sorts of symbols and so called "subliminal messages" any mind, but uses that sort of stuff to get the attention of theorists who think otherwise. At the end of the day it's more publicity for them and the artists, for that matter, don't you think?
1 Pour It Up
Since the pattern right now seems to be music videos, let's end this list with one. Some of you may know this, but the video's original director Vincent Haycock decided it was best for him to resign due to creative differences. RiRi was cool with that but responded to this decision by stating, "Just take your name off the check while u at it! Whatever your issue is leave my fans out of it."
With all that being said, the show obviously did go on and in that same year the world witnessed a strip club themed music video starring the women of the hour, Rihanna. While Rolling Stone's review for the video was neutral, Hitflix stated, "it' s a dimly lit video equivalent of a Playboy photo spread that is meant to serve the very same purpose for the boys and men who view it. And we're all supposed to scrape and bow and talk about how 'artfully' it's shot and pretend that it’s so very empowering for her to show off her body this way." Honestly, I don't think when the video came out that most people were saying it was empowering. I just think it was a matter of someone trying to be who they wanted to be and do what they wanted to do. In a world where both women and men are scared to be themselves out of fear of being called "whores" and "f*gs," I have to say, this video was a good thing. Be yourself!
