Hollywood is known for having some of the most beautiful women in the world to grace the small and silver screen. These starlets are constantly being photographed at various hotspot events and the red carpet is always a place to show off their glamour and physical appeal. While there are some celebrities that have been known to be incredibly intelligent, not every pretty face on the red carpet can boast having a good head on their shoulders. In fact, it's actually a rarity for these Hollywood beauties to have a college degree and that's why the ones that have advanced degrees are commended so highly. Mayim Bialik has a doctorate in Neuroscience, which actually came in handy when she landed the role of Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit television series, The Big Bang Theory. Yet, not every female celebrity can even come close to calling themselves a scientist.
Even though the stereotype of beautiful women being dumb isn't necessarily true, it should be noted that many of the hotties in Hollywood had to forego furthering their education because of their blossoming careers. Yet, that can't be the excuse that every woman in Hollywood can use in defence of some of their moronic words and actions throughout their careers. Check out our list of the 15 female celebs who are all beauty and no brain and see how some of these Hollywood hotties have just managed to coast along with their looks over the years.
15 Britney Spears
When Britney Spears first emerged as a pop star, she definitely proved to be the front-runner amongst the pack. Her singles featured catchy tunes that people couldn't help but sing along to and she became romantically linked to Justin Timberlake, a favorite from NSYNC. Yet, she didn't seem to take fame very well and it wasn't long before the public had a front row seat to her downward spiral. Once she became a mother, people hoped that she would be able to turn her life around, but the incidents in her personal life seemed to get worse. While walking with her new baby, photographers caught her take a tumble on the street and almost drop the baby on the concrete. In another paparazzi shot, she was driving with her baby on her lap.
14 Kellie Pickler
When Kellie Pickler first auditioned for American Idol in 2005, she was just 19 years old and people likened her to other country singers like Carrie Underwood. Yet, there was something unique about Pickler because she had much more of that sweet and simple country-girl kind of persona. The show played this up at every chance they could and even did a segment where she learned about fine dining from Wolfgang Puck. Yet, it didn't end when her American Idol season concluded since she often appeared on talk shows and unleashed a plethora of various statements that just showed that she's not exactly the brightest bulb in the box. While she isn't seen as incredibly intelligent, she's still a very likeable female celebrity and has become beloved in the world of country music.
13 Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is thought of as one of the strongest vocalists in the music industry and people have loved seeing her as a judge on The Voice. She offered amazing advice to the contestants and had a great way of showing them how to make the most out of their vocal range. Yet, just because she is an amazing singer doesn't mean she's the brightest tool in the shed. Over the years, she's made a number of dumb comments that have come back to haunt her, but the most infamous was when she asked about the annual Cannes Film Festival. This is seen as a coveted event that celebrities flock to each year and Aguilera wanted to know where it was being held. Obviously, someone forgot to tell her that it's always held in Cannes, France.
12 Aubrey O’Day
When Aubrey O'Day was just a lowly contestant on P. Diddy's Making the Band series for MTV, she was seen as extremely beautiful as a fresh-faced girl-next-door type. While she wasn't exactly the girl with the best vocal ability, she was definitely a keeper for being the eye-candy of the group. She ultimately made it as a band member of Danity Kane, but people couldn't help but notice her drastic change in her appearance and persona. From the over-the-top enhancements to posing for Playboy, O'Day showed that she no longer wanted to appear as the all-American girl. Yet, she didn't seem to want to evolve her brain along with her looks, which became blatantly clear during a television interview in 2016. She was quoted as saying that "Hitler was a brilliant man."
11 Paris Hilton
When Paris Hilton became known to the public, she was seen as an heiress that was making her way through life as a socialite that rubbed elbows with celebrities in Hollywood. Yet, the public got to see far more of her when she starred in the reality series, The Simple Life, in 2003. There was no shortage of embarrassing quotes that came from her mouth during the run of the show until 2007. While Hilton is known for having an educational background, there is something to say about the difference between book smarts and common sense. To be fair, Hilton hasn't had to endure some of the activities that regular people consider part of daily life, so that's a reason why Hilton had such difficulty in doing things like making coffee and pump gas. Yet, quotes like, "What's Walmart, do they sell like, wall stuff?" seems far too idiotic to be excused.
10 Kendra Wilkinson
When Kendra Wilkinson became one of Hugh Hefner's youngest girlfriends at the tender age of 19, people knew that she wasn't chosen because of her brain. When she starred in the reality series, The Girls Next Door, she was portrayed as the party girl that didn't get along well with the other girlfriends. She was often making idiotic statements that caused the other girls to roll their eyes and laugh in her face but it just seemed to be even more endearing for Hefner. Once she moved out of the Playboy mansion and went on to start a family, people hoped that she would brighten up a bit. Yet, that definitely wasn't the case. In one quote, Wilkinson bragged about her intelligence and referenced tax fraud out in the open when she said, "Right now, I think I'm the smartest I've ever been. Like with this tax stuff, I'm making sure everything is a write-off, every single thing."
9 Lindsay Lohan
When Lindsay Lohan was introduced to the world as a child actress, the public fell in love with her freckled face and her beautiful red hair. As she grew into a young lady, the public couldn't help but remark on how beautiful she was becoming and it seemed like she was making a great transition from childhood. Yet, it wasn't long before she went into the stereotypical downward spiral for someone that gained fame at a young age. From substance abuse to behavior that was hurting her professional career, it seemed like Lohan would never get her act together. The public hoped that she would put energy into evolving herself as a person, but when she was quoted as being so disparaging about furthering education, everyone stopped hoping. If you wondering whether you should go to college, this is what Lohan had to say about it: "People go to college to find who they are as a person and find what they want to do in life, and I kind of already know that, so it would be like taking a step back or something."
8 Jessica Simpson
When Jessica Simpson emerged as a pop star, she had plenty of competition. This was during the Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears era and it was a little difficult for her to find her niche. Yet, it became instantly clear that the public would become drawn to her for her personality rather than her vocal appeal. When she starred on reality television with her husband, Nick Lachey, people couldn't get enough of seeing this beautiful pop star and her boy-band husband. Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica only ran from 2003 to 2005, but there were a number of episodes that became infamous in the minds of TV viewers. One of the most memorable scenes was when Jessica was eating some tuna and asked, "Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish? I know it's tuna, but it says 'Chicken of the Sea.'"
7 Dani Mathers
Dani Mathers was a hugely celebrated Playboy playmate that was cultivating quite a following through social media sites like Twitter and Snapchat. She was undoubtedly hoping that her sizeable social media presence would help her professional career like it had with so many other celebrities. Yet, Mathers quickly became a cautionary tale when she posted a body-shaming picture of a 70-year-old woman inside the locker room at her gym. There was an immediate backlash and she was ultimately convicted of misdemeanor invasion of privacy. During the trial, Mathers claimed that she didn't mean to share the photo publicly but thought that she was only sharing it with her friend. Pleading ignorance to how Snapchat works didn't get her off on the charge and it didn't win over the public's opinion either.
6 Megan Fox
When Megan Fox first appeared on the Hollywood scene, people couldn't help but remark on her incredible beauty. People likened her to a younger version of Angelina Jolie because of her smoldering looks and it wasn't long before she was cast in one of the biggest franchises on the big screen, Transformers. Yet, instead of Fox expressing her appreciation for getting a chance to act as the leading lady in a huge box-office franchise, Fox made some hugely offensive comments about the director, Michael Bay. In a 2009 interview with Wonderland Magazine, Fox spoke about Bay and said, "He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is." Steven Spielberg was the executive producer and reportedly demanded that Fox was fired. When an up-and-coming actress is trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood, it's not the brightest thing in the world to make an enemy of one of the most successful and beloved filmmakers of all time.
5 Miley Cyrus
When Miley Cyrus first started out as another Disney kid, she certainly had a leg up because she was the daughter of the famed country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus. She had cultivated a huge fan base through her role as Hannah Montana and she also had success as a music artist. Having that much fame and fortune from being an actress and a singer should have been enough for Cyrus but she inevitably tried to break out of her Disney kid shell like so many of her predecessors. However, her method of doing so seemed more like a trainwreck than a conscious move to further her career. The infamous foam finger performance completely shocked the world and then photos of her onstage antics during her tour were just far too much for us to handle. While she's definitely calmed down with all the nonsense and has changed up her style to be less shock-worthy, many people still feel like that whole tongue phase was a dumb move for her career.
4 Lady Gaga
When Lady Gaga first started out in the music industry, she was unlike anything else that people had seen in the pop world. There had been other entertainers that have been extremely flamboyant in their dress in the past but no one could express themselves in the same over-the-top way that Lady Gaga perfected during the early part of her career. During an interview with Vanity Fair in 2010, Gaga revealed that she was using substance during the beginning of her career. She claimed that it helped to inspire her and that it also helped with creativity. She also admitted that she still occasionally used it. Yet, she legitimized it by correlating it to her music. Many people criticized her for glamorizing substance use to all of her young fans and it definitely wasn't the smartest move to make. She's also been quotes saying that she's afraid that if she's intimate with someone, they'll steal her creativity through her lady part.
3 Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian was first introduced to the world because of her "leaked" tape with Ray J and her friendship with Paris Hilton. Yet, people started to see her as a celebrity in her own right once she appeared on the reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. While the series definitely gave her much more publicity that helped in building her brand, it also gave a glimpse into the dimness of her bulb. There were constant examples of the fact that she is lacking intellectually. In one scene, Kourtney remarked on how old the television set was and claimed it was reminiscent of something from 1942. Kim responded by referencing Christopher Columbus and claimed that she wasn't great at history when Kourtney corrected her that Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492.
2 Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner was first introduced on Keeping Up with the Kardashians as just one of the annoying little sisters to the Kardashian girls and she soon grew up in front of the cameras. She became heavily criticized for her physical shortcomings in comparison to her Kardashian half-sisters and her supermodel sister, Kendall. She gradually began altering her look, but the criticism didn't stop. The public began criticizing her for doing too much to her look and many claimed that she was just trying to emulate the look of her half-sister, Kim. While some can argue that doing so much plastic surgery at such a young age wasn't exactly the smartest choice, the real eye-opening moments occurred whenever she spoke. Kylie has made a number of questionable comments that made the world see that perhaps it wasn't the best choice for her to quit furthering her education.
1 Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
When Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was introduced to the world through the MTV reality series Jersey Shore, TV audiences instantly knew that she would be a favorite on the show. She walked into the house screaming "party's here" and she definitely didn't disappoint. She was constantly the one to vote for going out for a drink and she was the first to ask for another round of shots. Yet, it wasn't just her partying ways that had people shaking their heads at the television screen since some of the comments she made were absolutely shocking. She admitted that she appeared incredibly dumb while she was on the show but she later claimed that the reason for it was because she was eating too much junk food during that time.
