Hollywood is no different from any other workplace. Just because actors work in the same industry, doesn’t mean they're going to like each other. There are so many different personalities in Hollywood, some of which can be pretty eccentric. When you throw them on a set together for 16 hours a day, it’s no wonder some of them want to kill each other. But it’s not just actors either; we have stories of musicians, actors, and general celebrities who just can’t stand each other.

It’s hard to believe that these beautiful people can’t get along, but we totally get it since even we, at times, get annoyed by some celebrities. We have a long list of celebrities who would like a tightened grasp on another’s neck, and it’s hard to believe that they can work together at all. The funny thing is, these celebrities often have insane chemistry onscreen. Here we are thinking that some of them might be dating in real life; meanwhile, they loathe each other.

These celebrities are considered to be icons, and yet, they fought with their co-workers all the time. Some of them even refused to make eye contact on set. We’re not sure how that worked, but it must've made filming difficult. One way or another they made things work. Check out these stars who can’t stand each other and a few who just downright hate one another. You might be shocked as to who has a grudge against your favorite star.

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey

These dirty dancers loathed each other during filming, which is shocking, considering their epic chemistry on set, not to mention the fact that the movie Dirty Dancing made them both famous. We still can’t believe that Patrick Swayze has passed now. We certainly lost a great actor there. The two had a strong dislike for each other because Swayze found Grey to be unprofessional and annoying. She often giggled or fooled around during filming, which drove him nuts. He often mentioned how they would be still working at 4 am, and she would be giggling during a scene when all he wanted to do was be finished. We can definitely see why that would be annoying. The dislike went on throughout filming, and the two were never able to become friends. It must've made the press tour really awkward.

Axl Rose and Slash

The members of Guns N Roses always seemed like a tight-knit group, and yet, there were two members who hated each other. Axl Rose and Slash haven't been buddies for quite a few years. The two have been fighting for 20 years, even after Slash had left the band. Rose called Slash a cancer that finally got removed from the band, and that’s the kind of comment most people don’t get over. He even banned Slash from ever attending any GNR concerts. Rose really means business. As if that isn’t bad enough, fans aren’t even allowed to wear a Slash t-shirt to a concert. Slash has always said that Rose is just a huge douche and that he was pissed about the fact that Rose had demanded legal ownership over the band name. It doesn’t appear as if these two are ever going to make up.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall

These girls may seem like they're super close on set, but there's some serious tension between the two. As soon as Kim Cattrall found out that Sarah Jessica Parker made more money on Sex and the City than the rest of the cast, it was all it took for her to stop talking to the actress. It’s hardly Parker’s fault, and if we’re all going to be honest, Parker has always been on a different level professionally than Cattrall is. It’s rare that all members of a TV show get paid the same; it’s usually based on popularity in the industry. The only time we remember it happening differently was on FRIENDS, and that was because they all banded together and threatened to quit if they weren’t all paid 1 million dollars an episode. We think Cattrall needs to suck it up.

Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre

There's no love lost between these two. Chuck Lorre is the director of Two and a Half Men, and when Charlie Sheen was still on the show, he lost it on Lorre one day. He went into a racist tirade with the director and got fired over it. Lorre was horrified by Sheen’s behavior and refused to work with the actor any longer. That was during Sheen’s mental-breakdown phase when he was always “winning.” Lorre got the last laugh when he filmed a bizarre ending to Two and a Half Men where he, himself as a character, dropped a piano onto a Charlie Sheen lookalike. The stand-in who normally played alongside Charlie Sheen did the honors. Sheen had a lot of behavioral issues back then, and his ego was to blame for most of it. He behaved like a tool most of the time.

Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett

We can’t imagine how anyone couldn’t get along with Harrison Ford. We’ve never heard that he’s been difficult to work with. But he's a legend in Hollywood, so maybe, he’s just not cool with young Hollywood. Josh Hartnett and Ford worked together on Hollywood Homicide, a movie we can’t even remember existing. The two didn't get along at all and refused to even make eye contact with each other during filming. Hartnett admitted later on that they did get along a bit better by the end of the movie: "There were times we would end up just sitting in the car when we were supposed to be doing a scene and neither of us would say anything for like an hour.” Oh man, that would be terribly awkward. Filming, not to mention promoting the film after, must've been excruciating.

Prince and Justin Timberlake

It’s hard to believe that two talented artists like these two just can’t seem to get along. But Prince and Justin Timberlake have a strong dislike for one another. It all started when Timberlake came out with his hit song, SexyBack. Prince found it insulting that Timberlake ever thought that sexy had ever left in the first place. We’re serious; this is a real fight. Prince made it a public fight when he made a comment during his Emmy Awards afterparty, “For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!” Timberlake retorted by adding this quote onto his next track, Timbaland: “If sexy never left, then why’s everybody on my sh*t?” It’s pretty sad that people fight over song lyrics, but that’s why we aren’t in the music business -- that and the fact that we can’t sing.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco

We all know that James Franco flies a freak flag and that he doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about it. He does what he wants and never apologizes for it. He's shown that in his personal life as well as his professional life. So, that probably had a lot to do with why the two didn’t get along. They both hosted the Academy Awards together in 2011 and rubbed each other the wrong way. It could be that whoever chose them didn’t realize that they couldn’t be more different, right down to their comedy styles. Franco thought that she wasn’t much fun to be around because she was a “goody two shoes.” He dissed her publicly when he went on The Howard Stern Show. We could totally see Hathaway being a good girl, and obviously, that’s not the kind of girl that Franco likes hanging with.

Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj is definitely not the girl that you want to be in a spat with because she likes to take things public. It seems like she's always in a fight with someone, and it probably has a lot to do with the fact that she walks around thinking she’s all that. We love confidence, but she takes it to a level that makes us all feel a little awkward. In 2013, Minaj worked with Mariah Carey on American Idol, and the two went together like oil and water. Both these girls are supremely confident, so putting them together was a really bad idea. The two got into a pretty big feud that's still going on until this day. Minaj called Carey a “bitter, insecure woman.” Now we know that didn’t go over very well. In fact, Carey blew a gasket.

Eric Roberts and Julia Roberts

We often forget that Julia Roberts and Eric Roberts are siblings, especially since Eric was a star before Julia. Emma Roberts is, of course, Julia Roberts's niece and has become popular in her own right. The feud between the two actually started over Emma. Eric has a long history of spousal abuse and even violent assault. Julia sided with Eric’s ex when it came to a custody battle over whether Eric should have any custody over his child. Eric never forgave Julia for making that decision. Emma went to go live with her mother, which, all things considered, if the sources are true, then it was probably a better environment for her to be in. The two have never reconciled. It’s definitely interesting to see how many of the Roberts clan actually are doing well in Hollywood. Julia, of course, has had the most success so far.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Yeah, it’s hard to believe that these two lovebirds hated each other, but they did. During the filming of The Notebook, the two despised each other and made it pretty well known. Gosling even had a meeting with the director to see if they could have McAdams replaced, which is just mean. The director told them to both suck it up, and the filming commenced. The director even suggested they both go into a room and scream it out. What's strange is once the movie was over, the two seemed to mend whatever bad vibes were going on between them and even started dating in real life. Bizarre, right? In the end, it all worked out -- that is, until they broke up. The two claim to be friends still even though they've both moved on with other people.

Bill Murray and Lucy Liu

During the filming of Charlie’s Angels, Bill Murray had a strong dislike for Lucy Liu and made it known to her regularly. He would harass her on set all the time, telling her that she was a bad actor. He took joy in provoking her daily and used to tell her that she sucked at acting, and the two would start screaming at each other. Pretty cold as ice, but some people just don’t get along. We love Bill Murray, though, so we don’t think that he would do it for no good reason. Now you know why Murray was replaced for the second installment Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. They brought in Bernie Mac because Liu refused to work with Murray again. Even though Murray is a legend in the acting world, they couldn’t exactly replace one of the original angels.

Kid Rock and Tommy Lee

There's nothing like a hot woman to make two guys want to fight, and that’s exactly what happened when it came to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. Pamela Anderson is the kind of girl that can make guys crazy for very little reason, and these two went nuts over her. Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson were a hot item for many years, and then, she started to date Kid Rock, and they were even married for a time. Lee and Rock hated each other for obvious reasons and even got into a fistfight at the VMAs. It all started when Lee phoned Rock and basically called him a “piece of sh*t!” That obviously pissed off Rock, and when they met at the VMAs, Rock decided to settle the score once and for all. It makes us like Kid Rock even more.

Nicki Minaj and Remy

Seriously, does Nicki Minaj ever get along with anyone? It really seems like she doesn’t. She's been in a decade-long feud with Remy, and it doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. It all started when Minaj started rapping in her song about “a b*tch with a crown.” That didn’t go over very well with Remy because, in 2007, she was considered to be the reigning Queen of New York City, so essentially, she was the b*tch with the crown. Instead of working out their issues, they've spent the past ten years taking shots at each other in their songs. It’s really nothing new for Minaj, and as we see with Mariah Carey, she seems to start the problems. We just can’t believe this fight has lasted ten years. Can’t we all just get along? Apparently not.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson

Is that his hand going around her neck? No, we think he’s just trying to whisper something in her ear. Despite how well they seemed to get along during the filming of the X-Files, they actually didn’t get along that well in real life. They did get along at the beginning, but Duchovny stated that he blamed the bizarre locations and the insane hours they worked for destroying the relationship he had with Anderson. They often attacked each other verbally while on set, and it went on for years. But judging from this photo taken just a couple of years ago, they may have patched things up. That could've happened simply because they aren’t working together any longer. It’s sad to think that people who work so closely together just don’t seem to like one another. We’re glad to see them in better spirits now, though.

Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy

Shia LaBeouf is another celebrity who seems to have a problem with getting along with co-workers. He was another actor whom Harrison Ford despised. Ford actually screamed at him during filming Indiana Jones, which sounds kind of funny. He also had a tiff with his Transformers co-star Megan Fox at one point. When it came to Tom Hardy, the two had issues with each other while filming Lawless. They were constantly arguing and it came pretty close to a fistfight at one point. So, whether it was LaBeouf’s fault or not, is hard to say but he does have a habit of rubbing people the wrong way. They tried to hide the fact that the two got physical with one another but the director of the movie finally admitted to it after the film wrapped up.
