For this generation and many others, being gay is something that is socially acceptable, as it should be. We love that celebrities are coming out and standing up for the LGBT community.

We live in a society that is driven by celebrities, which is why it is amazing that so many have become advocates for this community or have been open about their kids being members of the LGBT community.

In today's day and age, being gay is something that is openly spoken about, as it should be. This is why it is totally normal that a lot of celebrities have openly gay children and, since everyone is obsessed with celebrities, it is natural that we are obsessed with their children as well.

Sheedy stated in a previous interview “It's difficult for me to understand a family member judging or not loving or accepting another family member because they are gay.”

Cher is a living legend. She is one of those celebrities that never needed a last name because she is just that fabulous. The singer and actress is known as the Goddess of pop and we couldn't agree with that more.

Many people are aware that Cher has a transgender son, Chaz Bono. Although accepting and understanding her child's choice was not an easy pill to swallow, she has always voiced support for her son.

Cher stated “For the people who don’t understand it, I try to help them understand by saying, you know, I just love being a woman so much, but if I woke up tomorrow and I was a man I couldn’t function, and that’s the only way to describe it to someone who doesn’t understand.”

When Shepherd's daughter Ariel came out as a lesbian, Shepherd was more than supportive. Her other daughter Clementine is bisexual and Shepherd supported that also.

In October 2017, Etta came out of the closet on Instagram. Her courage and boldness to come out into the world is something that is very admirable. Chan who was not the best father to Etta is still a parent to a gay child which is exactly what this list is about. As far as that’s concerned always believe what you see, with your own eyes that is…. I've heard a lot of things about a lot of things, but it was never true… It’s not about me no more. It’s about three lovely, lovely kids. And then even when you see it with your own eyes, it’s a backstory."

We love to see people like Dick Cheney supporting gay rights, it is exactly what the world and the LGBT community needs.
