Ah Hollywood, the land of the rich, famous, and... fake.

Celebrities are known for more than just their acting, singing, or good looks. Their plastic surgery endeavors, material pining, and scandals keep their names alive and well in television and tabloids. A prime example would be the Kardashians, a dynasty of women with a penchant for drama.

Whether they are dealing with drug addiction, mental breakdowns, or relationship rumors, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, and Kris make their lives like an entertaining TV show, which is why their actual TV show is renewed for a thirteenth season. Their fans and critics are too excited, especially since they want answers about Kanye's erratic behavior, Kim's robbery, and Scott's sobriety.

Obviously, the three events are very real issues. The cast and crew have a lot to document, but how much of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is scripted?

In one article, there is a list of twenty, faux moments on the show. The marriage between Kim and Kris Humphries, a basketball player, ends in both divorce and discredit. "During a 165-page deposition, producer Russell Jay testified that at least two scenes of the show were 'scripted, reshot or edited' to create an image of Kris Humphries as a villain," the article states. Their love is deemed fake, and the program loses credibility as a real, raw reality series. Even though the Kardashians are shams, there are other celebrities phonier than them.

15. Paris Hilton

Remember Paris Hilton? She is an heiress of the Hilton Hotels fortune, but she is also known as Kim Kardashian's former boss. Yes, you read that correctly. Before Kim's infamous "tape", she is hired to be the socialite's personal assistant. However, her rise to stardom eventually left Paris in a time warp of burnouts, washouts, and has-beens. People forgot Paris was Kim's mentor, a woman who embodies fakery.

In 2015, the blonde beauty is an actress airborne. She is seen on a plane in a freak-out, but her stress is all for show, literally. Producers hire her to panic the passengers, and make them believe the plane's going to crash. Of course, for your viewing pleasure, the video is still in circulation. You can watch Paris cry here.

14. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is the queen of pop, or at least the Billboard Hot 100. However, her critics suggest otherwise, namely Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Her conflict with them began a year or so ago, when Taylor lambasted Kanye for name-dropping her in his "Famous" song. "There are going to be people who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but you don't let those people sidetrack you," she retaliated. Her Grammy Awards acceptance speech was met with approval and applause, but Kanye and Kim were livid. How did they respond? Kanye just casually slept next to Taylor's wax statue in his "Famous" music video, and Kim released a private conversation between her husband and Taylor. They did not want to be too harsh on her, after all.

13. Drake

Drake is the beloved Canadian artist that Americans wish to adopt. He has an infectious smile, gives back to the community, and produces quality music. However, he is accused of being counterfeit. "I don't like Drake as a person. He's just fake to me. I like his music, but we're all different people," Tyga, Drake's counterpart, dished out. Tyga sounds like he is speaking from the heart, and who knows? Maybe Drake is a charlatan, or maybe Tyga is just a little jealous of Drake. Only time, and more life, will tell.

12. Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" garnered him both good and bad attention. While the song earned him millions and millions of dollars, the song's success lead to feminist backlash, and the outcries put the artist under a microscope. Not only was he unfaithful to his ex, but his own song was sued by Marvin Gaye's family for copyright purposes. They won almost eight million dollars, so Robin was forced to collect his losses. Even though he tried to bounce back with his following studio album, Paula, his efforts produced only a modicum of money. The artist is not as rich or renowned anymore, but he still seems to be in good spirits. Who wouldn't be? He still has his money, his new girlfriend, and his son.

11. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj's beef with rapper Remy Ma has been buzzing throughout the hip hop community. In the latter's dis track, "ShETHER," the woman accuses Nicki of busted butt implants, snorting coke and taking ecstasy, having sex with Ebro, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz, Drake and Lil Wayne, and having a ghostwriter. Ouch! Is Nicki one of the greatest rappers alive, or is she just another Barbie who will soon disappear into oblivion? Whether her lyrics are factual or not, Remy Ma's track still makes a lot of people wonder.

10. Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's relationship should go down in Hollywood history as the biggest ploy for cash and clout (EVER!). The couple's reality series Rob and Chyna lasted as long as their love lasted, but fans believe the duo represents a publicity stunt, and not scorned lovers. An unnamed source confirmed the rumors swirling around the pair. "Rob wanted to make more money even if it meant pretending to be in a loving relationship, and Blac wanted to be as famous as the Kardashians," the insider revealed. The celebrities share an infant, Dream, together, so hopefully, they can at least cultivate a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter.

9. Farrah Abraham

Farrah Abraham is recognized by her role in the MTV franchise, Teen Mom. However, her other business ventures, like sex tapes, sex toys, furniture, and yogurt, are lesser known. Critics share the same opinion, regardless of how they know her, though. According to them, she is a fraud who cries ugly crocodile tears. For example, Farrah admitted she lied about her sexual assault. "I got into the car and the gentleman was looking me up and down. It could have escalated into a rape situation," the actress explained. Her lies are outrageous, but this specific lie was like slapping the faces of survivors of sexual abuse. At the very least, they deserve an apology. However, Farrah would rather work a nine-to-five than exert the effort.

8. Josh Duggar

Josh Duggar shocked the world with his secrets. The 19 Kids and Counting alum and former lobbyist is a cheater and a molester. In 2015, reports surfaced of the husband and father groping five underage girls (four of them being his sisters) at 14-year-old. A few months later, the Ashley Madison scandal broke out, and Josh's information was listed as one of millions of cheating spouses. The news devastated his loved ones, especially since he preached about morality and virtue. Hopefully, he, his family, and the survivors have received professional help. He needs a healthy mindset, and his victims need their lives back.

7. Paula Deen

Paula Deen seems like a real time fairy godmother: benevolent and beautiful. However, she and her brother, Earl "Bubba" Hiers, were sued for racist and sexist remarks, proving she is anything but. Even her own wedding theme was a joke. "When asked if she wanted black men to play the role of slaves at the wedding she explained she got the idea from a restaurant her husband and her had dined at saying, 'The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie. It was not only black men, it was black women. I would say they were slaves,"' an article relayed. Now, people can never see past Paula's painted smile and glazed stare without seeing her true colors. If only her character could look as good as her cooking.

6. Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea is known for her rapping skills (or lack thereof). Her critics claim she cannot rap, and they are not wrong, either. In 2014, the Australian was asked to freestyle on Sway Calloway's radio show. She spitted out lyrics from her unreleased song, "New B*tch," instead. In 2015, she topped her blunder with another one of epic proportions. She attempted to rap her song, "D.R.U.G.S," onstage, but instead, she sounded like she was jumbling letters of the alphabet together to mumble strings of unintelligible words. Iggy has potential, but if she continues to peacock paltry skill, she will never be the goat (or greatest of all time).

5. Courtney Stodden

Courtney Stodden is basically known for her scandalous relationship with her much older husband, Doug Hutchison. Their marriage began two years before her eighteenth birthday, so their union was one of the United States' most bizarre celebrity couplings. Even though Courtney's in her early twenties now, she still looks very lost. On Instagram, she constantly pays tribute to her idol, Marilyn Monroe. Whether she is taking a picture or uploading a video, she embodies a twenty-first century version of the late icon. Hopefully, Courtney can achieve Marilyn's success without sacrificing her own health, happiness, and well-being.

4. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a successful Disney star and pop singer. However, her success comes with a hefty price. Rumors about her escalating drug and alcohol abuse are circulating online, and sources close to her give civilians an inside scoop. According to TMZ, the millionaire blames her addictions on her ex, Justin Bieber. "Sources say Selena went for a combination of problems, including alcohol, pot and prescription Ambien," the article stated. Selena is a role model for millions of people, so if she is using drugs, the bombshell could ruin her reputation, not to mention her life.

3. Dr. Phil

Dr. Phil is like a god among all reality therapists. However, the host is more human than lonely housewives believe. Why? Well, for one, Dr. Phil is a human (I am still shocked.), and two, he is a pro at manipulation and exploitation. Before he sends his guests (either ill, in poverty, or underage) to pricey rehabs, he first exploits their problems on a national scale. In 2006, the mogul offered Ty Beeson, the creator of Bumfights, a seat on the show. However, Dr. Phil kicked him off the stage, after he and the audience watch footage of Ty's seedy recordings. "I call shenanigans on a show (and a host) that invites Beeson to spew his muck on its air, castigates him for it, and then pretends it remains squeaky clean," an editorial writer asserted. Dr. Phil may look like a suited Santa Claus, but he is not as warm or as jolly.

2. Nick Viall

The power of television is too undermined, and unless viewers pay close attention to reality shows, they cannot experience the magic that its crews can create. In particular, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are two series that hold enough potency to either make or break their contestants. Nick Viall, a man who has appeared on the franchise three times before, is finally the season's bachelor. As cameras and crew document his sweet and sexy sides, fans forget about his villainous behavior on Andi Dorfman's season. In 2014, the Wisconsin native told the world about his and Andi's sex life on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose. Is he a nice guy with a big mouth, or is he more manipulative than people realize? Until Andi writes another self-help book, the world may never know.

1. Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is the Kardashian siblings half-sister. Even though she is the baby of the Kardashian and Jenner empire, she is already following in her elder sisters' footsteps. The teenager is drastically altering her outer appearance, especially her lips. Her enhancement is not a big deal, but her lies are. She finally told the truth about her pout, hoping the gossip rags would hush. "These kids, my fans, they're going to think I'm crazy. I didn't want to be a bad influence. I didn't want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and up-front," the model explained. In 2016, the businesswoman built her brand with Kylie Cosmetics, which is a cosmetics line designed to beautify men and women, no matter how big or small their lips are.
