If you grew up watching the Disney channel, I’m sure you remember some of the most lovable stars from shows such as “That’s So Raven,” “Lizzie McGuire,” and “Hannah Montana.” Some of these celebs have moved on to bigger and better things, while others have realized that finding success outside of Disney isn’t so easy. Check out the amazing evolution of young Disney stars.
As the star of “That’s So Raven,” Raven-Symoné was the bubbly, energetic, and fashionable psychic teen, Raven Baxter. When the show came to an end in 2007, Raven’s career didn’t slow down at all. She was hired as a co-host on the ABC show “The View.” After ruffling a few feathers with her offhand comments, Raven left “The View” behind, and she’s currently working on a “That’s So Raven” spin-off. She’ll reprise her role as Raven Baxter, but this time around, she’ll be a single mom of two kids - one of which inherits her psychic abilities.
Tiffany Thornton played the character Tawni Hart in the sitcom “Sonny With a Chance.” After the show ended, Demi Lovato went on to have a successful career as a singer and actress, but whatever happened to Tiffany? Well, she has since left Disney behind, and she married the love of her life, Chris Carney, in 2011. The couple had two children together, but sadly in 2015, Chris was killed in a car accident, leaving Tiffany alone to raise their two children. These days, she’s a radio personality and a mommy blogger for DisneyBaby.com, and she has found love again with her new boyfriend, Josiah Capaci.
Now that Christy Carlson Romano’s Disney days are behind her, she has expanded her career by working behind the camera. In 2016, she directed and starred in her first feature film, “Christmas All Over Again.” The movie was written by her husband, Brendan Rooney, who she met in 2011 while attending college. The couple has been married since 2013, and they’re the parents of a baby girl.
We’ll always remember Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay Evans of the “High School Musical” franchise. Despite her character absolutely loving the spotlight and craving attention, Ashley is quite the opposite in real life. She has kept a pretty low profile since her “High School Musical” days, and besides acting, she’s the executive producer of the sitcom “Young & Hungry.” In 2014, she married musician Christopher French, and her “High School Musical” co-star Vanessa Hudgens was one of her bridesmaids.
