Life After Internet Fame- Where Are They Now

The internet is a funny place, the most obscure people can become famous for just about anything. Many of these people aren’t ready for their new-found fame, and it can totally catch them off guard. From the girl who became famous for botching a pageant question to a guy who was everyone’s Myspace friend, these are their lives after internet fame: where are they now?

In 2007 one teen became an internet sensation after she tried to answer a pageant question about Americans not able to find the U.S. on a map. Caitlin Upton was Miss Teen USA South Carolina, and she didn’t have it easy after becoming a viral internet star. Thankfully, with the help of friends and family, she has been able to pursue a career in acting and modeling and left her clumsy question answering skills in her past.

In the early 2000s a particular website was built that connected people all over the world: Myspace.com. If you were a young adult in the period of time, you probably used the site, and were friends with the co-founder Tom Anderson, now known as “Myspace Tom.” He made headline news when he sold the site in 2005 for $581 million, and relatively disappeared from the spotlight. He’s now gaining internet attention once again, but this time it’s for a new set of skills. Just wait until what you see what he has been up to!
