Hidden Details in Disney Movies

Contrary to popular belief, Disney films aren’t exclusive to just children. Considering the fascination with its characters and Disney theme parks being a special attraction for all ages, Walt Disney’s storied creation has produced popular and iconic films almost everyone has come across at least once in their lives, and the company isn’t slowing down any time soon, if you factor in the recent acquisition of the Star Wars franchise.

However, Disney films have been at the forefront of surprise more often than not for depicting adult themes, sexual imagery and sometimes clues which tie into other movies, thanks to the animators. While it’s obvious Disney has purposely inserted these examples in their films, there’s quite a lot going on when watching an animated classic, and given children surely can’t catch everything, it may be up to the adults to do some research. Here are cases of hidden details in Disney classics:

When the gates to the castle open in Frozen, both Rapunzel and Flynn Rider enter as guests.

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy can be seen in the opening scene of The Little Mermaid as part of the underwater crowds.

Rex from Toy Story could have survived mankind’s expansion into space in Wall-E, seen in Wall-E’s house behind a few gadgets.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame features character cameos including Belle, Aladdin’s magic carpet, and Pumba.

Both Valencia and Anaheim are depicted on a road sign in Beauty and The Beast. Anaheim is the real-life home to Disneyland.
