20 Things You Didn't Know About Justin Bieber

Who doesn’t love Justin Bieber? Well, that’s a tricky question. The singer has had his share of haters over the years, but he has come out on top! Though he’s been through some tough times lately, Bieber has turned everything around and released an Epic album in 2015. These facts dive deep into what makes Justin Bieber so unique.

Justin has been a musical sensation his whole life. He started playing the drums at age 2, and from there he was able to teach himself to play guitar, trumpet, and piano. He did this so well that he began to use his talents to become a street performer. He did so well that he figured he would start upload videos of himself singing on the website YouTube. As Justin gained popularity, more than fans began to notice.

From his YouTube page Justin was contacted by manager, Scooter Braun, who proceeded to shop the young star to recording labels. Eventually, Justin fell into the lap of Usher, whom he met for the first time in a car parking lot. When Usher didn’t jump on the chance to sign Bieber, his manager set up a meeting with Justin Timberlake. After his meeting with Justin Timberlake, Usher got back on the Bieber train and started a bidding war with Timberlake. Eventually Usher won Bieber’s heart and Bieber’s signature to his label.

Bieber’s career has been full of many accolades. He was the youngest artist to have 5 number one albums in the US. He was also the first solo artist to have 4 number one singles on the top 40 before the album was even released. Despite these amazing triumphs, the singer didn’t earn a Grammy until 2016. Justin won the Grammy for his single “Where Are Ü now”, in the best dance recording category. The singer was of course thrilled, but made jokes when he accepted his Grammy, as it wasn’t part of the main award show.

Justin doesn’t hide his love for Disney. He has claimed that “The Lion King” is his favorite Disney movie, and he also frequents the Disney theme parks often. When he was younger and still street performing, Justin was able to save $3000. He then took his mother on a vacation to Florida to go to Disney World. He later admitted this was his first holiday ever.

Though he seems to be being a good boy now, Bieber has had many moments that left fans cringing. Like when he visited the Anna Frank house in Amsterdam. The singer said he was inspired to visit the home of the young Jewish girl after reading the book “Diary of Anne Frank”. The book shows the struggles many Jewish citizens faced in Europe during WWII. Justin was asked about his experience at the site, and what he thought of Anne Frank, his response left much to be desired, “Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.” The news of Justin’s comments sent the twitter world ablaze. Many users took to their timelines to mock the then 19-year-old Bieber and defend the legacy of Anne Frank.

His controversies don’t end there. In early 2014 Justin was arrested in Miami for a DUI and driving without a license. The singer admitted to the police that before he got behind the wheel he had been drinking, taking medical prescription drugs, and even smoked marijuana. This news caused major headlines, and was the beginning of a very rough year for Justin. He eventually to a plea bargain with the Miami court system, and was able to close the case.

It’s hard to say what exactly makes Justin tick, but the misunderstood hunk isn’t going anywhere soon. He has managed to climb back up to the top, and back in our hearts.
