Miley Cyrus even admitted that she had to ask her producers to install sunlamps on set because the lack of vitamin D was making her depressed. Disney also requires their talent to move to California while filming. It’s difficult for families to just pick up and move their entire lives to another state, but they have to do it. Selena Gomez moved to L.A. from Texas after booking “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Even Zendaya had to move from Oakland to L.A. to film “Shake It Up!” It just goes to show that Disney Channel stars have to make sacrifices for their careers.
