Once upon a time, when we were young and our imaginations ran wild, we may have believed that our teachers were almost a different species entirely. After all, there are several books written on the subject. Leatie Weiss’ “My Teacher Sleeps at School” and Judy Finchler’s “Miss Malarkey Doesn’t Live in Room 10”, for example. Clearly, they all lived in the schools, maybe slept under their desks, and had no lives of their own. Even as we grew older, we sometimes figured that teachers did not have the time, between creating lessons plans and grading papers, to live an actual life. However, it seems that this could not be further from the truth.
In this video, we will take a look at ten school teachers who lived double lives. Some are absolutely shocking, like one IT teacher at the Burnage Media Arts College in Manchester, England who was secretly a gang boss and dealer. Scandalous! Thankfully, not all of these teacher’s private lives revolve around the unsavory. Like the British Columbia teacher who taught during the day, and dominated in the ring at night as a Featherweight champion. One Queen’s high school teacher snuck out to become a professional wrestler! His wrestling persona was even a teacher, so maybe that made it a little easier for him. Whatever lives they chose to live outside of their classroom walls, they certainly never told their pupils or supervisors. Really, how would they even begin to explain some of these things on their resumes?
