It’s quite common to get caught up in the beat and lyrics of your favorite Hip Hop song. But if you took the time to really listen to the lyrics, and to observe the imagery in the music video, you may be surprised.
We have uncovered some shocking subliminal messages in a few of the most popular Hip Hop songs. If you thought these tracks were all about partying and having a good time, you’re wrong. We uncovered illuminati imagery, a glorification of domestic violence and tributes to those who are no longer with us.
In “Love the Way You Lie,” Eminem teamed up with Rihanna for a controversial song and music video are about an abusive relationship. The video shows the couple involved in angry fights and explosive arguments. Many people were absolutely outraged at these two artists glorifying domestic violence - especially since they both have been involved in domestic assault situations.
One of the most touching hidden messages is from Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s song “See You Again.” The song is a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker who was killed in 2013. The song is a tearful farewell to the actor, and the music video shows Paul’s car driving alongside his Vin Diesel’s vehicle. The cars then veer off down separate paths as Charlie sings, “It's been a long day without you, my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.” It’s a touching moment that tugged on our heartstrings.
Drake went easy on the Illuminati imagery for his video “Started from the Bottom.” The rapper uses an owl as the logo for his clothing brand, but the owl actually represents wisdom for the Illuminati. The owl logo is plastered everywhere throughout the video, including in the light illuminating off of the bowling alley to the billboard that’s standing tall in the sky.
While Drake’s imagery was subtle, 50 Cent’s was more blatant. “In Da Club” shows men in lab coats performing experiments on the rapper. After the experimentation is finished, 50 hangs up-side down from the ceiling just like an owl - the Illuminati’s sign for wisdom. He makes his way to the dance floor which is illuminated in red light. The color red is significant because it’s the color of blood, and it’s one of the traditional colors used in Satanism. At the end of the video, Eminem and Dr. Dre are watching 50’s every move. They represent the agents who administer mind control programming.
