Most of us grew up watching The Disney Channel, and it’s hard not to get attached to some of the stars on the most popular shows. After their Disney days are over, we can’t help but wonder what they’ve been up to, and how their lives have drastically changed. Many of these stars still keep close to their Disney roots, while others have branched out to explore other opportunities inside and outside of the entertainment industry.
Bella Thorne, the co-star of “Shake It Up,” is definitely the girl of the moment. The actress had so much success on her Disney Channel series, it opened up many doors for her in the music and film industries. She landed the role as Nina on the MTV series “Scream,” and she has co-starred in various films, including “The Duff.” Surprisingly, Bella is now a published author. She has already released two books entitled, “Autumn Falls” and “Autumn Kiss.” More titles set to be published in the near future.
Bella’s co-star, Zendaya Coleman, is another Disney Channel star who has had a successful career, as well. Zendaya currently stars in the Disney series ”K.C. Undercover,” but her career has now flourished beyond her Disney roles. When she’s not recording music, she’s acting in films, such as the upcoming movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” To top it all off, Zendaya is also a pretty talented designer. She has designed her own line of trendy women’s footwear, ranging from ballet flats to sky-high stilettos.
When you think of The Disney Channel, it’s impossible not to think of Hilary Duff. Hilary has def-initely had a successful career, and it all started with her series, “Lizzie McGuire.” An endorse-ment deal of clothing, perfumes and dolls followed, and Hilary now is focused on juggling moth-erhood and her career. The actress and singer revealed in June 2016 that she’s working on her sixth studio album that we definitely can’t wait to hear!
One of our most favorite shows on The Disney Channel was definitely “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Not only was the show entertaining, but it starred two of our favorite actors: Selena Gomez and David Henrie. These two actors have had very different careers, but they are both quite successful in their own right. Selena runs a production company called July Moon Produc-tions, and she is currently working on her third studio album - although her battle with lupus has put a brief halt to her recent tour.
David, who played Justin Russo in “Wizards of Waverly Place,” now spends his time working on various Disney projects, but he has also branched out to star in a few other films, including “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” and he landed the role of a young Ronald Reagan in the biopic “Reagan.”
