The happiest place on Earth has its own dress code. People spend months preparing their outfits for their upcoming Disney vacations. It used to be so simple: family-themed shirts. You all know exactly what I’m talking about. “Smith Family Disney Vacation 2012” was written across every single family member’s t-shirts. The same color, huge font, finished with the one and only Mickey Mouse. Even those family t-shirts have drastically changed, and they have become kind of cute.
Families now have their vacation t-shirts personalized to a specific Disney movie. Why be the Smith family when y’all can be the Incredibles? Disney trends move at the speed of light. If you are planning your next vacation you’re not going to want to miss out on purchasing these must-have items before you go. Seriously, they’ll be $500 and your kidney in Disney.
Gucci-Inspired Minnie Ears
If you go to Disney without a pair of ears you are doing it all wrong. Minnie Mouse ears have become the Chanel of Disney accessories. Prior there used to be the same select few pairs that everyone had to have. You could purchase them at any Disney hotel, park, etc. Then Etsy came along and hypothetically said, “anything you can do I can do better.”
Why should you have the same pair as the million other people strolling around the Magic Kingdom? Darling, you were born to stand out. Etsy has every ear you could ever fathom. From Cinderella to Star Wars and everything in between; you could even customize a pair to be whatever your heart desires. Our personal favorite comes from an Etsy shop called “EarsByMayra.” They create Gucci-inspired Minnie Mouse ears for $20. Need we say anymore?
Iridescent MagicBand Skin
For those of you that haven’t been to Disney in a while or are first-timers, a MagicBand is a non-negotiable accessory. I say non-negotiable strongly because they also serve as your room key and your park passes. A MagicBand looks like a thick bracelet. Upon booking your vacation you have the option to customize your magic band on the Disney website. Here you have a choice of a few basic colors, blue, pink, yellow, red, green, etc. If you don’t pick out a specific color then you will just be mailed grey ones: 0/10 style points for someone wearing a grey magic band.
Amazon sells everything that you will need to give your MagicBand a Beverly Hills quality makeover. Decals, skins, charms- you name it, Amazon has it. The cutest option, however, is the iridescent premium vinyl decal wrap cover for under $10.
Mickey Mouse Ray-Bans
For the Disney-loving men out there: we see you, we hear you, this one’s for you. Whether you are in Disney World or Disneyland, chances are you’re going to be in the sun. Packing a pair of sunglasses or two is an absolute must.
Ran-Ban x Mickey is the most perfect pair. You can opt for the all black and white pair or with some added red and yellow. They have an old-school Walt feel to them which adds to the overall greatness.
Dole Whip Dress
Disney recently created a line of adult-themed dresses. The Dress Shop Collection is filled with retro-styled statement dresses. There is nowhere else in the world that is socially acceptable to behave like this so you might as well fully embrace it. This collection is filled with classic favorites.

Have you ever had one of those long days where you go hours without eating? Then when you finally get some food you become a ravenous beast? Well, that’s what happens to you when you get to Disney (yes, with food also) but with shopping. Almost every store you walk into will have a glorious wall filled with phone cases.
All of them are overpriced yet you will buy ten. It’s a simple kid at the candy store syndrome. However, you can go prepared and blow through your money on something else. Pro tip: get a Cinderella’s castle case to recreate this cute picture above as if it was your own idea.

Millennial pink is the most flattering color for every skin tone. When Disney first released its millennial pink line everyone went bananas. Still today, it’s very hard to get this in any store. People snatch them up quickly, and once you see it you’ll want it.
How to entirely avoid this nightmare of a situation? Buy it before you go and make everyone wonder which store you snagged it from.

Let’s set the record straight: you will never in your life see more fanny packs in one place than at Disney. And although the fanny pack has somehow made a fashion comeback over the years, it’s not big enough for your day at Disney. Hours are spent at those parks in the heat.
