Watch The Northern Lights From This Amazing Glass Igloo

Each year thousands of people flock to see the Northern Lights. Now, one hotel is making the experience even more magical for travelers.

Can you imagine watching one of the world's seven natural wonders from a warm bed with an unobstructed view? Well, now you don't have to the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in the Finnish Lapland. The entire vacation spot is made up of glass igloos that have a unique view of the beautiful Northern Lights.

You don't have to worry about getting cold in this one of a kind resort room. Each igloo is made from thermal glass to ensure that they are beautiful and toasty warm inside, despite being located in the depths of the frigid Arctic Circle. Temperatures have been known to get as cold as -40 degrees Fahrenheit, which kind of makes you wonder why any would travel there.

The glass igloos will comfortably fit two or four people depending on the size you request. In the four-person igloos, there is a shower and toilet. Those in the two people rooms do have a toilet but will need to shower in a sperate building that also includes smoke sauna as well as a glass igloo bar and restaurant. The resort has a total of 200 igloos that are available from late August to April when the Northern Lights are in full effect.

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort also offers a slew of activities for guests that are not afraid to brave the arctic temperatures. Dog sled tours, reindeer safaris, ice fishing and the ability to visit Santa's house are a few items on the activates list.

Now as you can imagine staying in these cool igloos is not going to be cheap. Depending on the size of igloo you book the price starts at $455 a night, which is kind of hefty. Traveling to visit the resort and see the Northern Lights would definitely be an experience of a lifetime, but you will need to save for it.
