There are so many celebrities out there today that it is hard to be aware of them all. So, how do we distinguish the different celebrities? We use ratings based on their talent, fame and appeal! Thus, we have celebrities that are A-list, B-list, C-list and so on. It just makes life easier.

However, people often tend to disagree when it comes to separating A-list celebrities from the B-list celebrities. That’s because everyone has a different opinion as to what makes a celebrity great and of course each one of us has our own preferences when it comes to celebrities.

For example, when it comes to A-list actors, most people would describe A-listers as those who do not have to audition or those who make you, the viewer, want to go see a movie just because they are in it. Examples of A-listers include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, and Tom Cruise. They are paid huge salaries, which they spend on seemingly frivolous things such as helicopters and private islands, and they are cast in high profile films.

In addition, most people agree that A-listers have gained their A-list celebrity status through hard work and talent. Only too often a celebrity will become world famous and then suddenly drop off the radar. Thus, it is not uncommon for A-list celebrities to become B-list as time goes on.

Still, B-list celebrities manage to command quite large salaries and allowances which gives them the ability to purchase expensive houses, clothes and other similar items. Unlike A-list celebrities however, you will rarely see B-listers spending money on frivolous items.
