Harmon and Roiland developed the series during a year-long break from his show Community. In Rick and Morty, he voiced the character Birdman and various side characters.

Harmon also hosts weekly podcasts titled Harmontown and is the author of You'll Be Perfect When You're Dead. It was announced that Harmon along with Evan Katz would do a remake of the 1959 novel The Sirens of Titan into a television show.

Justin Roiland stands at a net worth of 4 million and is the co-creator, co-writer and executive producer of Rick and Morty. Roiland voices the shows two main roles, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.
