Taylor Swift has many things in her life that she should be incredibly grateful for. But despite the positive impact that she has had on the world, Swift knows that the haters are still going to hate, hate, hate, hate. Though considering the hundreds of millions of people who still love to watch her shake, shake, shake, shake, we're sure she doesn't mind the haters too much. Not to mention the fact that her net worth of close to $300 million is sure to help her sleep easy at night.

But if Taylor Swift sat down and looked at the photos and outfits that we're putting on display today, perhaps she'd understand some of the negativity coming her way. Because while Swift can look as gorgeous as any celebrity in Hollywood, there are also many moments in her career that have left people baffled by her sense of style, both on and off the stage.

There are other outfits that with a bit of hindsight, Swift definitely would have also put back in the closet. Not to mention other outfits that showed perhaps more of Swift than she was anticipating! Caught By The Paparazzi With Coffee In Hand

When you are waking up in the morning there may be several things that you need to get you up and moving. If not, you may find yourself acting more like a zombie for most of the morning and not a functional human. One of the most influential things may be making sure you are able to get a cup of coffee in your system.

And with the busy schedule that Taylor Swift has, you can imagine that extra boost of caffeine would probably make a big difference on some of those days. But Swift may have only been thinking about the coffee, and not the paparazzi presence that was going to snap her disheveled appearance when she stepped out of the house with morning joe in hand.

Unfortunately, when you are a celeb, these things happen way more than you think. It is your job to always be ready for it.

Throwback To Her Pre-Fame Days

Everyone has photos from their past that they wish would never have been taken. That desire of hiding your past may be even higher if you're a celebrity. But perhaps as a cruel joke, the more popular you are in society, the more people are going to be able to find out about your past life.

Taylor Swift may have been an anonymous name in the crowd when she started out her MySpace account, but this photo which was taken from it shows why people were so entertained when they tracked it down. The only question is, does Taylor still have the spelling bee skills that once made her a champion in elementary?

Going Far Too Casual On The Stage

Everyone can relate to that feeling when you wake up in the morning and it's a struggle to get yourself out of bed. That struggle may be even more real if you are only getting out of bed because you have no choice but to go to work. Now just imagine if your "job" was being a singer and needing to perform in front of thousands of screaming fans on a regular basis.

While Swift can often leave little to the imagination with some of her outfits, it looks like she required no imagination when putting together the above ensemble. Nothing says "I may have woken up hungover" like rocking out on stage in jeans and an oversized hoodie! But really, let's be honest, if any of us were famous, we would love the idea of just performing in jeans and a hood. Alternatively, sweatpants. Anything for comfort, right?

Should Have Left The Black Lipstick At Home

If celebrities are going to embrace their freakier fashion side on the red carpet, the event to do it at is the Met Gala. But just because some celebrities choose to go bold, doesn't always mean they come away with a positive result. Swift is beloved for several different identifiable traits, such as her classic red lips that show up throughout this list. But when she donned the black, it left many people out in the cold.

Other fashion critics also attacked Swift for the scale-like quality of her silver dress. While we're sure this won't deter her from taking risks at future events, perhaps she'd agree with them that this wasn't one of her better decisions.

Taylor Swift has absolutely beautiful hair that in some instances on our list, is actually one of the highlights of the outfit in question. But part of getting hair the way she does is that she needs to maintain it. Such as making sure she puts it in rollers to help maintain that classic look that people know and love.

But just because people are huge fans of the finished product, doesn't mean the "in progress" look leaves Swift in the most flattering of lights. Granted the hilarious look on her face also isn't helping things, even if the rollers weren't in the photo!

But really girl, come on. Close your mouth. Be a touch presentable.

Chose The Wrong Yoga Pants

There is no question that regardless of if you're a celebrity or not, that there is a tremendous benefit to making sure you are active and going to the gym on a regular basis. Taylor Swift knows this and can often be seen by the paparazzi wearing gym clothes.

And while this photo may not indicate it, the pants that Swift was wearing on this particular day definitely didn't do an adequate enough job of giving Swift the coverage she had probably hoped for. The result was an awkward wardrobe malfunction that we're sure Swift would have much rather had deleted from the internet. Maybe next time she'll opt to work out at home!

Had British Culture Thrown Up All Over Her

Now we do need to preface that it does make sense that Taylor Swift has elected to up the British level of our next entry significantly. She was called on to help perform at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2013 that was embracing several different themes throughout the night. This included Snow Angels, Parisian Nights and British Invasion.

You want to guess which of those three Swift was embracing? But just because there is a reason for the outfit to exist, doesn't make it more alluring. We're sure this is true, especially in comparison to the models walking down the runway! Let's just hope her hat managed to stay on.

Showing Too Much Of Herself On The Red Carpet

You would hope that Taylor Swift would have taken a good hard look in the mirror when she realized she was going be making an appearance at the Golden Globes back in 2013. And when you look at this photo of Swift from the front, it may even look like she succeeded and came away with an unbelievable outfit that would turn heads and drop jaws whenever she entered a room.

But, unfortunately for Swift, she later became aware that she should have been careful about making sure people didn't come up and greet her from her side. If they did, they may have seen up-close the wardrobe malfunction that Swift suffered from that got tabloids talking!

If you told Taylor Swift that this photo would end up being seen by millions of people, she probably would have called you crazy. While there are some entries from our list of events that Swift knew she'd have to have her photo taken, this throwback photo was yanked off of Taylor Swift's old myspace profile. You wouldn't be the only one shocked to see the blonde superstar that skyrocketed to fame with her country roots, was once rocking some dark hair and perhaps a more goth attitude.

When talking about her life growing up, Swift stated,

"My mom and I have always been really close. She's always been the friend that was always there. There were times when, in middle school and junior high, I didn't have a lot of friends. But my mom was always my friend. Always."

Copying Blake Lively's Style

One of the biggest problems with being a celebrity may be that you know if you step out on the town wearing the same outfit that you previously had worn, that people are probably going to be talking about it. This is also the case if the outfit they've chosen to wear on that particular day has also been worn by another famed celebrity.

This was the case when Taylor Swift elected to step out of the house in a beautiful blue dress. The only problem was that Blake Lively had previously worn the exact same outfit, and as you may agree with the photo comparison we've shown, pulled it off even better than Swift! While it may not be fair to compare two blondes, it is up to Taylor to realize that she may not look good in everything, no matter how much she may like something. Sometimes it is better to leave things in the closet.

Weird Black Gloves At The CMA's

If you had to guess what type of plans that Taylor Swift was getting up to after she attended the 40th annual Country Music Awards show, perhaps you'd guess she was going to attend a murder mystery party!

While that's probably not the most accurate of guesses, it's easy to see where you would be coming from. Especially when you factor in the long, elegant - but perhaps too elaborate - gloves that are helping "pull" the outfit together. Swift also caused some confusion with critics with the bottom of her dress that went in contrast to the form-fitting top-half. At the end of the day though, it's the gloves that Swift should truly make sure they don't appear on her hands again.

Her Worst Hairstyle Thus Far

Taylor Swift will not be the first, nor the last, celebrity who feels they should chop off their luxurious hair and go for a shorter bob. But when Swift debuted this classic look at the 2016 Grammy Awards, it definitely left people making comparisons that may not have left Swift with the results she was looking for.

This includes Anna Wintour - aged 66 - and Diane Keaton - aged 70 -, indicating that Swift was rocking a hairstyle that definitely wasn't suited for her then 26-year-old frame.

While nobody can blame her for trying to embrace a more "mature" side, people also didn't blame her when she moved away from the hairstyle. You would think that with stylists on hand, she could enjoy such a fashion faux pas.

Rocking Out In A...Unicorn Shirt?

There are many different aspects that go into enjoying a Taylor Swift concert. You definitely need to hope that you're a fan of the music. You may be the type of fan that always wants to make sure to pick up some merchandise. You may also be hoping to go and get to see the gorgeous Swift up-close.

Especially because as gorgeous as Swift looks on the red carpet or around town, there are some outfits that she has worn on stage where many people think she looks even better. But we don't know if that's exactly what is going on with this above outfit. Because while we're sure Swift is belting out one of her hits, many critics were left confused the kid-friendly unicorn on the front and her short-shorts.

Wearing Her Shirt Backwards

When Taylor Swift first wore this outfit out of the house back in 2014, a tumblr that was set up to talk all about her latest fashion trends stated,

"Her bordeaux sweater here is actually a reversible piece with Taylor opting to wear the neck [cutout] side for the front and the high-neck turtleneck to the back."

Only, as Swift went on to point out,

"I think what they're trying to say politely is... I wore the shirt wrong didn't I."

Yes, yes you did Taylor. The shirt wasn't technically supposed to be reversible, but it's hard to say Swift didn't still pull off the look. That being said, wearing a shirt the wrong way in public? Clearly, she didn't look in the mirror long enough when she left the house.

Requiring Help To Get Around In Her Dress

Taylor Swift has no shortage of people around to help make her life easier to manage. But when she was attending the CMT award shows back in 2007, we don't know if this person realized the job she was going to have on this night was being in charge of keeping Taylor Swift in an upright position by holding her dress up.

Because while this dress isn't the biggest eyesore on the list, it definitely was one that may have had the biggest risk of her taking a tumble like Jennifer Lawrence famously experienced at the Oscars several years ago. We're sure if Swift did something similar that she would have made all the headlines of tabloid newspapers.

Commanding Attention On Stage In White, But Not In A Good Way

There is no question that when Taylor Swift steps to the stage to perform, that all eyes are going to be on her. One of the most taxing elements of being a performer for Swift may be the elaborate costumes she often wears to help sell the songs she is putting out there.

This above white outfit was worn during a performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" that Swift did at the Grammy's back in 2013. It's very possible, however, that Swift and her stylist's attitude towards this outfit is that "We are never ever getting this ensemble put together again."

The cane would have probably been pretty fun to use though!

Taking Inspiration From Paddington

Perhaps for our next entry, Taylor Swift didn't struggle to look in a mirror, she struggled to not look at the local children's section of the library. Paddington is one of the most beloved characters in literary history.

Paddington has also recently had two movies released, both of which received widespread critical acclaim. Which means that maybe Taylor Swift knew she was channeling her inner-Paddington and wanted to go out and support the bear in her own way!

Either way, the similarity in her outfits definitely allowed many people to playfully poke fun at Swift for her small fashion faux pas.

Her Worst Grammy's Look So Far?

Some of Taylor Swift's best moments in her professional career have come when she has been attending the Grammy Awards. But if she had to look back at all of the outfits she has worn to the Grammy's, we bet she would have a tough time trying to decide which outfit she looked the worst in.

And if that was the case, her fans may not be too shocked if this was the look she decided should rather be burned than worn out again. The top half offers little in terms of style and fails to flatter Swift's figure. As for the tights? Perhaps it's best not to talk about them!

Embracing A Dirty Look For "Mean"

When you first take a look at this photo, you may first be taken aback by the overall dirty aesthetic (literally) that Swift had elected to go with. But when you consider the song she was performing, "Mean", was about how she felt bullied when she was younger, perhaps she was trying to identify with the lyrics.

When talking about her relationship with music growing up, Swift has admitted,

"People haven't always been there for me, but music always has."

We're sure that as Swift continues to advance through life that she'll always use music as an outlet for her feelings. And while we get that she was trying to make some sort of statement, this outfit is just straight up terrible.

Should She Shake Off This Outfit?

Taylor Swift put on several different outfits for her music video "Shake It Off". But just because a lot of work may have gone into the different personas that she attempted to pull off, doesn't mean that the end result was one that left her looking the best. Especially considering some people felt her music video had some problematic issues with it.

But given the nature of the song itself, something tells us she didn't care too much about what people thought about her outfits. The 2.5 billion views on the YouTube upload of the song is also a pretty good indicator that even if some people may hate, that Swift (and her directing team) knows what they are doing when putting her music videos together.
