Kyrie Irving's latest sneaker, the Nike Kyrie 5, is going to have a hot, new touch come the NBA's All-Star Weekend festivities next month.
The Kyrie 5 has been remixed several different ways since its release and the parties involved have worked out multiple collaborations.
Per Sneaker News, Irving and Nike recently partnered up with Los Angeles-based streetwear label ROKIT to produce quite the wild version of the Boston Celtics star's latest kicks called the ROKIT x Nike Kyrie 5. And it looks like it could be a hit.
Sneaker News reports that the fresh colorways are expected to be made available around the weekend of February 17, the date of the National Basketball Association's annual All-Star Game.
The sneaker, which comes in a colorful amalgamation of bright neon tones, sports a translucent "flytrap" at the midfoot. There's also an unusually large swoosh logo on the side, with a regular-sized one up top.
Nike has been allowing outsiders to influence some of their designs as of late and, as mentioned above, the Kyrie 5s have been subjected to several collaborations. The shoes debuted with a Taco partnership and later announced a collabo with Egypt-inspired "Ikhet" by Concepts.
This latest one, though, seems like a pair which could really catch on.
There is no official release date for the new colorways as yet but most pertinent reports indicate that they will drop sometime around All-Star weekend, set to take place in Charlotte this year.
Earlier this month, Nike announced their NikeCourt Zoom Vapor X "Kyrie 5", a basketball-tennis crosscourt sneaker inspired by Irving being born in Melbourne, Australia, and Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios' love for the game of basketball.
Said kicks were out of stock at the time of writing but Nike's wasting no time bringing yet another Kyrie collaboration to the fore.
