Megan Fox made a name for herself in a big way for her role as Mikaela Banes in the Transformers franchise. Though she'd be the first person to tell you that she knows the main appeal of those movies wasn't the acting involved.

Fox appeared in the first 2 movies of the series before being replaced amidst controversy with the director, Michael Bay. And while Fox hasn't had another movie that has reached the financial success of Transformers, she's still put forth several solid performances such as in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise as April O'Neil and cameo'ing on New Girl.

She recently also teamed up with James Franco, Danny McBride and Will Ferrell for the upcoming film, Zeroville. But films and television aren't the only places you can check out Fox.

Along with having her own line, Fox has bolstered her acting career with several unforgettable outfits that show off her tremendous sense of style and explain why she's considered one of the biggest symbols in Hollywood history.

Below we have 15 of her best outfits, as well as pieces of trivia (including the infamous Michael Bay fight) that help round Fox out as a person.

What She Feels Is A Misconception Of Her

One of the hardest parts of being a celebrity is knowing that people are going to form opinions of you and spread those opinions online, and at the end of the day, there really is nothing that you can do to change those stereotypes. When talking about how she feels she may have been misinterpreted by society, Fox stated,

"There's a misconception that maybe I'm overly confident or a little vapid or that I am a stereotypical, bratty, spoiled girl who doesn't have much to bring to the table other than how people perceive her physically."

Fox has also declared in the past that she feels she is smart, funny and interesting and can go toe-to-toe with anyone in a conversation.

The Ramifications Of The Transformers Franchise

One of the biggest movies of all-time was Transformers. And while Megan Fox did have some success with her career that she can attribute to that film, there were also ramifications that came from the film.

"I booked 'Transformers' having no clue what I was doing. And then, all of a sudden, it was like: 'You've got to get your game together fast.' It sucks, but I'm trying," admitted Fox.

Fox has also been insightful enough to point out in past interviews that she's aware the acting wasn't exactly the biggest draw of the Transformers franchise.

She Avoids Negative Press

Megan Fox has had plenty of positive press written about her over the years, but she has also had a great deal of negativity said about her as well. This includes an infamous interview where she compared Michael Bay's work ethic to that of Hitler. A move that saw her dismissal from the Transformers franchise.

Fox has admitted that blocking out the attention from outside media sources is one of the ways she has managed to cope with fame,

"I don't read my own press, so I don't know what's being reported on a daily basis - I only hear about things when they reach a sort of Def-Con status, and my publicist calls me because we have to do some damage control."

She's A Self-Professed Nerd

When learning about her interests, you may also get the impression that Fox is crossing her fingers that Marvel or DC gives her a call,

"I'm the biggest nerd - I love comic books and stuff like that! I don't have any friends who are actresses. I only had one girlfriend when I was growing up. Most of my friends were boys. I was such a tomboy. I enjoyed doing guy things."

There are many roles that Megan Fox has appeared in that we're sure she would love to reprise. But her favorite may be in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. While the movies weren't as critically acclaimed as Fox or the studio may have hoped, it did allow Fox to embrace her love of the franchise.

She Never Knows When She Is Being Watched

There are many celebrities who have failed to maintain an entire career in the public spotlight. When talking about the impacts of being famous, Fox offered out some empathy to those who have been unable to cope,

"You never know when someone is videotaping you or trying to capture your image. I see how it makes some people crazy."

When you consider the fact that she isn't looking at the camera for our above entry, you can imagine this is one of those times when she didn't know she was being photographed by a member of the paparazzi.

She Wasn't Shocked Jennifer's Body Failed

Another entry on our list reveals the details of the relationship that Megan Fox imagines she would have with a fellow stunner, Olivia Wilde. But that is a relationship that needs to exist in your head.

But one thing that does very much exist, is Fox pushing the boundaries with Amanda Seyfried in the movie Jennifer's Body. While the movie failed to make a big splash at the box office, at least it was something Fox expected.

"I was doubtful. The movie is about a man-eating, cannibalistic l*sbian cheerleader, and that pretty much eliminates middle America. Its obviously a girl-power movie, but it's also about how scary girls are."

She Doesn't Think She Is Good Looking

There is definitely a lot of makeup and probably some solid time with a stylist to make Megan Fox look like she does in our next entry. And while you may think Fox rolls out of the bed looking like a stunner, she's admitted the opposite, saying in a past interview,

"I'm not a 'beautiful' woman. It takes a lot of work to make me look like a girl."

We suppose for her sake it may help that she's able to afford the required 'assistance' needed to help her look her best in front of the camera. Though Megan Fox "at her worst" is probably still going to be considered good looking enough to turn heads whenever she enters the room.

She Knows Her Personality Is A Bit Fake

Fox knows that her personality is also what is alluring to men, even if the personality that she shows is a bit fake.

"When I sit down to talk to men's magazines, there's a certain character that I play. She's not fully fleshed out - she doesn't have her own name - but she shows up to do men's-magazine interviews."

Megan Fox knows that she is considered to be one of the sexiest celebrities in Hollywood. One thing that helps boost that perception is appearing in various men's fashion magazines over the years. Especially because she tends to do this while wearing clothes that don't leave much guess-work for the viewer.

Why She Looks So Good

If Kylie Jenner is looking for inspiration on moms in Hollywood that have managed to bounce back better than ever, she might not have to look much further than Megan Fox. When talking about the adjustments she made to her body following the birth of her 3rd child, Fox revealed,

“I’ve had to eliminate bread from my diet, so I’m on that high-protein, very low-carbohydrate, very low-sugar diet." Along with giving her the obvious positive results, Fox has stated,

“You are able to expend more energy without being exhausted."

She Hates Paparazzi More Than Red Carpet Events

One of the most time-consuming elements of being a celebrity is being required to go to red carpet events. This is especially paramount if you're an actor and you need to constantly be flying all over the world to promote your films. When talking about her feelings on appearing at red carpet events, Fox revealed,

"I don't really resent being on the red carpet as much as I do having to deal with the paparazzi."

Part of Fox's beef with paparazzi comes from inaccurate reports being written about her, but when asked about that element of Hollywood, Fox stated,

"Me contradicting a news story is not going to make my words fact. It will just create a new news story."

Explaining Why Hollywood Is Like High School

When Megan Fox was once asked to describe what life is like being a celebrity in Hollywood, she didn't exactly paint the nicest picture,

"What people don't realize is that fame, whatever your worst experience in high school, when you were being bullied by those ten kids in high school, fame is that, but on a global scale, where you're being bullied by millions of people constantly."

When it comes to her actual high school life, Fox has also disclosed, "I was never a mean girl. No, I was always the outcast."

Showing Her Christmas Spirit On New Girl

One of the biggest hurdles for a television show to handle is what to do when one of the main female characters gets pregnant. This was the case for New Girl, who needed to adapt around the real-life pregnancy of lead Zooey Deschanel.

Part of their go-to plan was the introduction of a new roommate into the series, at least temporarily, played by Megan Fox. When describing her character, show creator Liz Meriwether stated,

"But what I really love with what we did with her character is I hope we gave Megan Fox a chance to play a more fully-fleshed character. Not to say anything bad about anything she’s done before, but give her a chance to do something that falls a little different. And there are no robots or turtles in these episodes."

She Believes In Aliens

Megan Fox knows that the films she has been in have earned hundreds of millions at the box office. But if you asked Megan Fox what type of movie she'd love to see, she replied,

"Would you not be so much more interested in finding out that Bigfoot existed than in watching a really good movie?"

Fox went on to further explain her thoughts on potentially otherworldly creatures,

"I believe in aliens... I am childlike in my spirit and I want to believe in fairy tales... Loch Ness monster—there's something to it.... There's the Bell Witch... What distracts me from my reality is Bigfoot. They are my celebrities.'"

On Being Called The Most Beautiful Woman In The World

When asked her thoughts about how the public perceives her good looks, Fox stated,

“I don’t take any notice of those polls. I take it with a grain of salt. I think that because I was in a movie [Transformers] that made $800 million, they threw me on the top of the list."

As you continue through this list, it's going to continue to become abundantly clear why Megan Fox has been considered one of the best looking women to ever grace the big screen. Her good looks led to her literally being deemed the best looking woman in America according to FHM in 2008.

She Thinks She's A Different Kind of Role Model

Megan Fox is used to interacting with fans on a regular basis. Which means she must also spend a solid portion of her time wondering about what type of role model she may be for these women who look up to her.

When talking about how she views herself, as well as what her hopes for the future of America should look like for women, Fox revealed,

“I just really want it at some point to be OK for women and young girls to be sexy because I think that’s a power, a gift that we were given by God or the universe or whatever. I think I’m a different kind of role model for young girls. But maybe not the kind America is comfortable with.”

Why She Loves Brian Austin Green

As you read through this list and see how desirable Megan Fox is, it can't come as a huge shock that she has been "off the market" for quite some time.

The man who won her heart was Brian Austin Green who was also one of the stars on the original Beverly Hills, 90210.

If that didn't make it obvious enough, there is a fairly big age gap between the two, as Fox is 31 and Green is 44. Perhaps awkwardly, they started knocking boots when she was 18 and he was 30.

When talking about their relationship, however, Fox stated,

"You don’t come across a lot of genuine people in this industry and I feel blessed to have someone who will stick around through my bull----"

She Thinks Olivia Wilde Is Gorgeous

Anytime a celebrity engages in a relationship, it is bound to make tabloid headlines. And while Megan Fox has been happily married to Brian Green since 2010, she has admitted in the past that her preferences may not be so straight.

When talking about potential girl crushes with GQ magazine, Fox gave some insight on who her biggest girl crush may be,

"I could see myself in a relationship with a girl; Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She's mesmerizing."

She Knows People Fantasize About Her

You won't get to read about Megan Fox before you start hearing her get compared to some of the other dominant females in Hollywood. But Fox is well-aware that her role in society also functions to help push the notion of women as objects.

"That's what our purpose is in this business. You're merchandised, you're a product. But that's okay. I think women should be empowered by that, not degraded," said Fox.

While there are many women who take issue with being considered being an object or a play thing for Hollywood, it's clear that Fox doesn't feel that way.

She Thinks Tattoos Are A Beautiful Art Form

If you're a fan of how Megan Fox looks, that means you're also probably going to either like - or at the very least not hate - on the tattoos that she has all over her body. But even though you may agree with the idea that it would be silly to snub Fox in any way, she does know that her tattoos have also led to some negative perceptions of herself; even if she finds that to be ridiculous

"People who don't like me talk about it as though I'm trash because I have tattoos. I find that insane because it's 2008, not the 1950s. Tattoos aren't limited to sailors. It's a form of art I find beautiful. I love it," said Fox.
