Even when she was still carrying a bit of baby weight, Jay-Z couldn’t keep his hands off her insane curves. One might be surprised to learn that the star does not, in fact, ‘wake up like this’, but works extremely hard to succumb to the standards that the entertainment industry demands. The 30-year-old starlet, famous for her roles in The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants and the teen drama Gossip Girl admits that the shape she had to achieve soon after childbirth is not normal by any standards, let alone for a new mom. A mere 8 months after giving birth to her daughter, James (hey, at least it’s not Moonray Firelight), she had to be in tip-top shape for her role in The Shallows. Fair enough, her character is scantily clad for the majority of the movie, but realistically the results are nearly impossible.
Blake needed 2 personal trainers and a nutritionist to assist her on her journey to perfection. She does not, however, endorse this kind of pressure, “new mothers should focus on their babies and should not put themselves under pressure to lose weight so quickly, it was my job to look that way.”
The Columbian singer and songwriter lost 10cm in just 8 weeks after giving birth to her second child, Sasha. Her workouts and food plan were designed by Anna Kaiser and she rather enjoyed the AKTinMotion programme. She devoted herself to 60-90 minute interval workouts a day and her favorite move is apparently a jackknife on a treadmill.
Shakira swears by clean, healthy food and eats small meals throughout the day to keep her metabolism up. Although curvy, it is most likely all muscle! The 52-year-old star has also tried some crazy plans such as the watercress soup plans, and a plan where she was only eating one meal a day. All is not lost though, she would allow herself a snack of 6 raisins a day.
Liz routinely does things like this and is quite public about it. In contrast to her usual mission to be skinny, she admits that being too skinny when aging isn’t necessarily a good thing, ‘I keep my eye on what I eat all the time because now that we’re older we have to make a conscious decision if we want to stay relatively slim… But as you get older, it doesn’t actually look that attractive to be super skinny.’
