Richest Football Managers In UK 2011 - Sunday Times

The England manager, Fabio Capello, is the richest football manager in the UK and Ireland, according to The Sunday Times 2011 Sport Rich List, published this Sunday, May 15.

Capello has added £3m to his fortune in the past year, taking him to £37m, and is one of four Italian managers operating at the top of the British and Irish game to feature in this year’s(2011) Sunday Times Sport Rich List.

Capello stood to earn a huge bonus on top of his basic £5.5m salary had England progressed beyond the first knockout stage of the World Cup in South Africa last summer. The defeat to Germany was one of only two in 18 competitive matches since Capello took over in December 2007 and he will lead England into the next major tournament, next year’s European Championships.
