Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is America’s wealthiest boxer and athlete, with an estimated net worth of $115 million.

Forbes’ highest-paid American athlete spent two months in prison last June 2012 after he was found guilty of domestic violence against ex-girlfriend Josie Harris , the mother of his two children.

He was accused of hair pulling and arm-twisting attack against Josie.

He was supposed to be in Jail , December of 2010, but was granted a delay to allow him to fight Miguel Cotto on May 5.

Mayweather was confined to a cell of more than 3,000 other inmates but was put in a protective custody and enjoyed the privilege of having two magazines or books, was fed three times a day and enjoyed one-hour free time everyday.

Being in jail, he missed the celebration of him being name Forbes’ highest-paid athlete for 2011.

While inside the jail, he also missed watching Manny Pacquiao lose his WBO welterweight title to Timothy Bradley on June 9. Pacquiao, having an estimated net worth of $85 million is considered Mayweather’s greatest opponent.

After being released from prison, he revealed his phone conversation with Manny, offering him $40 million. But Pacquiao refused the offer and wanted a 50-50 share in the fight. This year, Mayweather has still not dropped the news as to whether he will face Pacquiao in the ring for a fight that will cost $220 million.
