Khan Challenges Mayweather for the Money not the Fame

Amir Khan, the famous British boxer whose career has been on a downhill trend, is set to have a chance at a comeback owing to the upcoming fight with the American boxer, Floyd Mayweather. This comes at the lowest point of his career after the 26 year old boxer lost to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia which cost him both the IBF and WBA crowns. Even winning over Julio Diaz and Carlos Molina did little to bring back his lost glory.

Mayweather is considered to be the undisputed lord of the ring with 45 wins and 26 of these being knock outs. Khan’s fight with Mayweather is purely money oriented and there are even plans to have the fights staged in Wembley. This will bring in lots of money from the sale of tickets as well as pay-per-view television from both America and Britain. With the fight, Khan will be taking to the bank the biggest lump sum of cash he has ever had in his career which is in excess of about $9.5 million.
