The Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles may soon be allowed to have up to 7,500 fans at each of their final six home games this season.

On Tuesday, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced a new plan for limited capacity in indoor and outdoor facilities. NBC10 Philadelphia detailed the guidelines that go into effect on Friday:

"Starting Friday, outdoor venues of 10,000 seats or more (such as Lincoln Financial Field) can house 15% capacity, up to 7,500 people, according to the new regulations. Indoor venues of 10,000 seats or more are capped at 10% capacity up to 3,750 people."

Lincoln Financial Field (the Eagles' home venue) and Heinz Field (the Steelers' home venue) don't have roofs, so as outdoor venues, they'll be permitted up to 7,5000 fans as opposed to 3,750 that an indoor facility would allow.

The Steelers actually host the Eagles this Sunday, but it's unclear at this time if the AFC North division leaders will welcome spectators for Week 5.

Both clubs played their first two home games without any fans in attendance. The Eagles hosted the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 (a 37-19 loss) and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3 (a 23-23 tie). Pittsburgh played without spectators in Weeks 2 and 3, 26-21 and 28-21 wins over the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, respectively.

The Ohio Department of Health gave the green light for the Bengals and Cleveland Browns to host up to 12,000 fans for each of their final six home games of 2020. The Browns had 6,000 fans for their home games in Weeks 2 and 3, while the Bengals allowed 6,000 for Sunday's Week 4 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

So far, 12 NFL teams have allowed a limited number of fans for at least one home game. The Dallas Cowboys had a total of 46,729 fans for their first two home tilts. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs had 15,331 and 14,312 spectators for their first two home contests, respectively.

The Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Football Team, New York Giants and New York Jets won't have any fans at their 2020 home games. For several other clubs, it is currently a matter of waiting and seeing. Some of them hope to welcome fans in November or December home games.
