Sportswear giants Under Armour will release a new version of Steph Curry's sneakers during NBA All-Star weekend.
The league is set for a mouthwatering weekend of activities in Charlotte from February 15-17, with the Three-Point Contest, the Slam Dunk Contest and the actual All-Star Game all among events which fans will be treated to.
The Golden State Warriors star will be competing in the Three-Point Contest, with his brother Seth, who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers, also participating. And Under Armour will mark the event with the debut of his Curry 6 "Hi Vis Yellow" sneaker.
These sweet kicks come Hi Vis Yellow, as mentioned above, and Guardian Green. They show off flashy yellow across the knitted top, with black accents all over. The sneakers also boast UA HOVR cushioning and a translucent outsole.
According to Sneakerfiles.com, Curry's luminous new sneakers will be available from Under Armour retailers and UA.com at a retail price of $130.00 from February 15.
There's no word on sizes yet but it would probably be safe to assume that the sneakers will be available in little girl sizes after Curry got checked by a nine-year-old female fan last year.
The brave kid wrote a letter to Curry bemoaning Under Armour's overlooking of little girls and revealing her disappointment at being unable to get the Curry 5s in her size.
The three-time NBA champion surprisingly responded, vowing to sort the issue out. He also sent her a pair of 5s and let her know that she would be the first kid to receive the 6s when they drop.
Of course, it helped that she's named Riley - same as Steph's young daughter - but it's great that the busy NBA superstar took time out to address a concern for a young fan who will most likely be watching his every move during the upcoming All-Star Weekend.
