The New Orleans Saints won't have to wait long to welcome back fans in attendance.

Per Saints reporter Kyle T. Mosley, the team informed season ticket holders in a letter that they will welcome fans for the Week 3 home game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Face masks will be required for all fans attending the game. It's unknown at this time how many fans will be allowed in, and if the Saints will have spectators for the final six remaining home games.

The Saints have one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. The Superdome is renowned for being one of the loudest atmospheres in sports, so this will obviously be a big advantage for the NFC South club.

New Orleans went 7-1 at home during the 2017 regular season, 6-2 in 2018 and 6-2 last season. In the Drew Brees-Sean Payton era, New Orleans has only lost two home playoff games, and those defeats occurred over the last two seasons.

The team previously announced that they won't have fans in attendance for their Week 1 home contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That game is in the "America's Game of the Week" slot on FOX, with Brees and new Bucs quarterback Tom Brady slated to face off for just the sixth time ever.

The Saints' other six home games take place against the Los Angeles Chargers (Brees' former team in Week 5), Carolina Panthers (Week 7), San Francisco 49ers (Week 10), Atlanta Falcons (Week 11), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 15) and Minnesota Vikings (Week 16).

New Orleans has won the most total regular season games (37) over the last three years, but they've endured three straight consecutive heartbreaking playoff defeats that came down to the final play. Many believe that 2020 will mark the final season of Brees' illustrious career, too. In short, the clock is ticking on this team's chance to win another Super Bowl with the future Hall of Famer.
