Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is doing whatever it takes to ensure he can play a high level for as long as possible.

Wilson, who turns 32 years of age on Nov. 29, is currently the MVP front-runner. His Seahawks hold the best record in the NFC at 6-1, and he leads the NFL with 26 touchdown passes through seven games.

And if everything works out as planned, the future Hall of Famer will continue playing through the 2033 season.

During a recent appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast (h/t John Breech of CBS Sports), Wilson revealed the insane amount of money, time and effort he devotes in hopes of playing until he's age 45.

Wilson revealed that he works out for 363 to 365 days a year. He only skips workouts on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Like LeBron James, Tom Brady and Drew Brees, Wilson also pays a hefty price for the best possible training in order to ensure longevity and strong production as he gets older..

"I probably spend $1 million if not more, a year, just on recovery," Wilson said.

Wilson said he has "a whole performance team" that includes a full-time trainer, a full-time physiotherapist, a full-time mobile person, a full-time massage person and two chefs.

Wilson also said he has a hyperbaric chamber which he uses three or four times a week. One way or another, Wilson is receiving treatment on a daily basis.

Well, the money has obviously been very well spent. Wilson hasn't missed a single game since his 2012 rookie season, and his production has reached an MVP like level dating back to 2017, when he led the NFL with 34 touchdown passes.

The aforementioned Brady and Brees are still playing at strong levels at the ages of 43 and 41, respectively. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is also dominating as he nears his 37th birthday.

There's no reason to think that Wilson won't be able to play well into his 40s at this point. Not if he continues to put in all of the hard work to keep his body in the best possible shape.
