10 Kevin Durant ($65.4 Million In Earnings)

We kickstart this list with Kevin Durant, who is the 10th richest sports star in the world within 2019 according to Forbes, with the NBA star earning $65.4 million in earnings this year alone.

Durant could have probably earned even more had he accepted the Warriors extension deal, but instead, Durant opted to become a free agent and signed a deal with the Brooklyn Nets which was worth up to $164 million of the four-years he signed on for.

He also banks $35 million from sponsorships per year and has investments in various companies, including the popular Postmates which helps his net worth grow and grow.

9 Stephen Curry ($79.8 Million In Earnings)

Another basketball star who makes the list of richest sports stars in 2019 (proving how much finance is in the NBA currently), is Stephen Curry who is earning almost $80 million in earnings this year.

The charismatic NBA star signed the league's first $200 million contract back in 2017 and has had the league's top salary in the two year's following that, making him incredibly marketable as he works alongside Palm.

As well as that, he owns his own production company, Unanimous Media that actually has a deal in place with Sony Pictures, with their first movie, Breakthrough, being released earlier this year.

8 LeBron James ($89 Million In Earnings)

The legendary LeBron James comes in 8th as the richest sports star of 2019 as he earns $89 million in earnings, with the legendary NBA MVP being under a four-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers which is worthy of $153 million.

James has the top endorsement portfolio in the NBA, bringing in plenty of money from his sponsorship deals as he remains one of the most popular athletes in the world.

Away from the court, his foundation opened up its first elementary school last year, with James set to invest $41 million in sending kids to college, while he and his partners also own 14 Blaze Pizza franchises.

7 Aaron Rodgers ($89.3 Million In Earnings)

Aaron Rodgers is set to net $89.3 million in 2019, with $9 million coming from endorsement deals with the rest being made up from his current contract deal, making him one of the highest-paid NFL stars in the league.

Rodgers has taken his finance and started to invest it elsewhere, in order to prepare him for life after the NFL, as he purchased a minority ownership stake in NBA side, Milwaukee Bucks.

Russell Wilson is set to earn £89.5 million in earnings in 2019, with a large portion of that coming from his April 2019 move where the Seahawks signed him on a four-year contract extension for $140 million.

According to Forbes, Messi is bringing in $92 million from his salary and winnings alone, while the rest of the money ($35 million) comes from his endorsement deals, showing just how badly company's want to work with him.
