One of the best remaining NFL free agents has found a new team, with the regular season less than two weeks away.

On Monday, veteran cornerback Logan Ryan signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants worth $7.5 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Ryan also confirmed the news on his Twitter page:

The Giants are Ryan's third NFL team. He played his first four seasons with the New England Patriots (2013 to 2016), where he won two Super Bowls.

After helping the Patriots defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, Ryan signed a three-year contract with the Tennessee Titans worth $30 million.

Ryan helped the Titans record three straight 9-7 seasons. They earned wild card spots in 2017 and 2019, advancing all the way to the AFC Championship Game last season, where they fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

In what will likely go down as his most memorable moment with the Titans, Ryan recorded a game-sealing pick-six off of former teammate Tom Brady in the waning seconds of the 2019 Wild Card Round.

That marked Brady's final pass as a Patriot; he left to sign a two-year, $50 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency.

For his career, Ryan has 17 interceptions, 78 passes defended, nine forced fumbles and 11 sacks. In 2019, he recorded four interceptions, and career-highs in passes defended (18), forced fumbles (four) and sacks (4.5).

Ryan should improve a Giants defense that finished 30th in scoring (28.2 points allowed per game) and 28th against the pass (264.1 yards allowed per game). The Giants also signed veteran cornerback James Bradberry and linebacker Blake Martinez in hopes of fixing the unit.

The Giants were one of the busiest teams this offseason. Aside from adding Ryan, Bradberry and Martinez, they hired former Patriots special teams coordinator Joe Judge to become their new head coach. The Giants also drafted Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas with the fourth overall selection.
