Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving LOVES Friends, he literally loves the show.
You probably won't find many superstar athletes with the name of a 90s sitcom tattooed on their bodies. But there are ordinary superstars, and there's Kyrie Irving.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers star has literally taken his love for the show a step higher with plans to have a Friends version of his popular Nike Kyrie 5 sneaker dedicated to his favorite comedy.

Images of the kicks leaked on Instagram this week, showing up on @sneaker_speculation and they look quite good, as you've probably already noticed.
In case you're curious as to why the NBA champion loves the show so much, Kyrie has explained that it's because he wasn't able to relate to it as a kid growing up but has since realized that the issues on there are so relevant even in today's world.
"For me, it was one of those shows that was a little bit ahead of my generation. I was young and didn't really understand the issues they were talking about or even really get the sarcastic tone," he told GQ in 2015.
"I didn't get it until I got older and was watching Nick at Night and TBS, and they played marathons of Friends all the time. One day I sat through probably like a full season of episodes and fell in love with it. Just the way they handled all the relationships on the show. When I was a kid none of that made sense to me, but now I totally related to it."
Pressed for his favorite episode, he said: "I would say it was when they go on vacation [to Barbados] and Joey is with Rachel and Ross is with [Charlie]. It's just a love fiasco. Everybody is listening to each other through the hotel room walls. They're going back and forth between rooms. Then they go back to New York and Ross walks in on Joey and Rachel kissing. That's one of my favorites."
There's no official word on when these beauties will drop, but they are expected to become available sometime in April at select Nike sales outlets.
They really seem like a great gift to get your friends.
