Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has hit out at her ex-boyfriend, Nick Young, for making fun of his past cheating scandal following the capture of his first NBA ring on Friday night.
The Golden State Warriors guard helped his side to their third NBA Championship in four years as they swept the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 in a tough Finals series. This was the 33-year-old's first season with the Dubs, and the sweep marked the first time he closed out a campaign as an NBA champion.
Following Friday's win, Young - who goes by the moniker 'Swaggy P'- jokingly made reference to the time his philandering exploits leaked out due to his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate D'Angelo Russell secretly recording a video of their conversation.
According to Russell, it was meant to be a prank, yet the footage somehow made its way online, ultimately costing the player his three-year relationship with Iggy, whom he had already engaged.
"I've come a long way, haven't I?" he asked during a post-match, locker-room interview. "I went from being snitched on to about to put a ring on."

Well, there was hardly any way Iggy was going to see the lighter side. And in response to an Instagram user urging Young to try enjoying his achievement without bringing up his cheating, she said: "I want him to stop referencing the s*** he did as if it’s funny or even cool just because it’s old now."
"I've moved on but’s never gonna be a cute joke to make," she added. "Congrats on the win tho."
Back in March, Iggy, whose actual name is Amethyst Kelly, told Andy Cohen how she got rid of Young's stuff in the wake of their split on Watch What Happens Live.
"He was out, and I used to break stuff in our house, and I realized I was breaking my own s***," she said. "I was like, 'That’s stupid'. And he didn’t care. So I was like, 'I’m going to find some s*** you care about and I’m going to start destroying that s***, which was his clothes'," she revealed.
"I text him a video and I was like, 'Hey, I’m burning your s***, I’m starting with the cheap s***. I’m burning your things, and I don’t know where you’re at, probably with some girl, so I hope you get home quickly because I’m moving on. We’re progressing on the spectrum of cheap to expensive'."
Young isn't exactly your mature 33-year-old, yet he must have known that his comment would have gotten under Iggy's skin and added insult to injury. But people can say just about anything when they're overwhelmed with emotion. And who knows? He may have already called to apologize.
